Fayrooz in Lewisham

I went fayrooz for the first time last week after being interested for a while. I ordered a mixed grill for 1, which was priced at £17, so judging by the price I was expecting good things. The service was good in store but I made the mistake of not checking the food before I left as I would have asked for my money back. The food ended up in my bin before thinking about taking photos. The portion didn’t fill the box. The kofte meat tasted like it was gone off. The chicken was dry. The lamb was dry. I asked for chilli and garlic. They gave me them in pots which had clearly been sitting in the fridge for a while. I was tempted to go back and explain this face to Face but was never going to go down as well as a review. I would recommend going to ‘the real Turkish’ also in catford. You will see the difference in food quality, presentation and most importantly this day and age the price! I won’t be going fayrooz again and hopefully they can put more pride into their food.

Rude and food wasnt cooked incorrectly... was pink chicken not pink and i been ere many times i will not be returning ...health safty warning for this place ...use to be nice and fresh but gone down hill ...staff still same people just rude ...

Lovely hicken shawarma. Home made bread was nice and thin, huge portion good value. Next time I'd prefer the chips separate or go with rice instead. Had the lamb before and was also very good. Staff are so smilie friendly I will be back.

He estado en Fayrooz varias veces y siempre ha sido una experiencia muy positiva. La comida está recién hecha con ingredientes de calidad, tiene un sabor maravilloso y hay una gran variedad de opciones en el menú, con muchas opciones vegetarianas y veganas. El personal es realmente amable y servicial. El restaurante en sí siempre está muy limpio. La decoración y la música son agradables. Los precios son muy razonables y las porciones generosas. No me importa esperar un poco cuando sé que todo se está haciendo desde cero en el sitio. ¡Definitivamente regresaré pronto!

Me había llevado de aquí un par de veces y decidí ir a cenar tarde y probar el servicio en el restaurante. No es una gran idea Pedimos hummus para comenzar y una fuente para 2. En primer lugar, no había mucho servicio (se pone en orden, se paga, etc.) Nuestras bebidas tardaron 5 minutos en llegar. . . (2 botellas de cerveza) el hummus tardó 15 minutos en llegar (ordenó que comenzara un resfriado para que saliera rápidamente ...) y cuando llegó la fuente fue decepcionante, el cordero estaba un poco duro y el pollo un poco seco. Y para poner la cereza encima, un 12. 5% de cargo por servicio fue agregado a la factura. . . Pagamos 40 por 2 para una experiencia muy decepcionante.

I wouldn’t recommend eating in, our meal was very expensive for what we had, essentially a large dehydrated mixed kebab with lots of very chewy bread spread on a platter for £25.00, the guy at the counter then informed us that “this is my favourite bit” as he charged a further 12.5% for an unenthusiastic guy to take our order. Luckily I rarely feel this ripped off.

I used to order food with them for my family and it was ok. Today I did order smth just for me as I am sick at home and 40 min after I made an order they send a text they cancelled it becouse their boss asked them too - my order was too chip so he would not bother for delivery. Wowwwww - just lost an old customer, all my family. Thats not right.

Amazing food and great price, the platter was a good amount of deliciousness for two people, sensational

Food was lovely and tasty. Waiters and staff really friendly and good with our toddler who broke a few things. Really lovely atmosphere and such good prices. Thoroughly enjoyed and recommend.

Had the Mezze plate and some chicken. Lovely, plentiful food, reasonable price and super friendly people. Can recommend. :)

A friend recommended this place which encouraged us to stop by. We ordered the preset sharer for two (which includes a side order, although isn’t mentioned on the menu, so that was a win!). We also ordered drinks & other sides. The portions were spot on, great value for money, all staff were fantastic (especially Baz who looked after us) & the bathroom is amongst the cleanest I’ve ever experienced . If you’re drinking, go for a Beirut beer!

Eat in or take away - Tabbouleh is perfect. Took a vegan friend to lunch, we both found good choices. Highly recommend. Wish it were open now . . . . . .

Great atmosphere, arabic music playing in the background. Staff were really nice. I had a halloumi wrap( which was delicious).

Finally after a while we stumbled upon this small restaurant with Lebanese food as cooked at home. We ordered just two falafel wraps, baba ganoush and taboulleh. Service was great, prices were great and the food was amazing. If you really want some authentic Lebanese food, Fayrooz is definitely the place to go.

Restaurant is nice ,a bit chilly at the back stay nearer the entrance if you use this place,just under half full when i was there not exactly busy,so i was a bit disappointed when the food arrived just warm,pitta bread was a tad leathery,portion size skimpy,rather surprised to pay £16.25 for what was basically a small kofta kebab with rice..£10.00 would have been nearer the mark.
