Faro in Glasgow City

Tuvimos un descuento y terminamos pidiendo más porque la comida era increíble. Nos sentamos por más tiempo de lo que normalmente nos gustaría debido a los alrededores encantadores y el personal amable y servicial. Toda la comida era deliciosa, la pizza y tarta de queso eran los mejores que he tenido.

Siempre bueno, pero recomiendo particularmente la opción antipasti de carne - realmente, realmente delicioso. Una encantadora mezcla de quesos, embutidos, ensalada y maravillosa berenjena. Personal amable y servicial y algunos cócteles tentadores 🍹🍸

Este pequeño café italiano / bar cena / restaurante en la esquina de Kilmarnock Rd y Skirving street es auténtico en su ambiente familiar. Los propietarios y el personal son muy amables y la calidad del servicio y la comida es fabulosa. I got the brunch at £12 the bacon was over done the bread it lay on was tough the small cup of coffee was £3 all in all rubbish for the money I have never eaten anything there before and will never eat anything else there again 😢

Had a very pleasant breakfast here this morning. Coffee was lovely and service was fast. Prices were reasonable for the quality and portion size. Would definitely come back again for brunch, and maybe even cocktails next time!

We have visited this cafe twice now and both times we’ve had an excellent experience. The food is delicious and the coffees are made perfectly! I am really surprised this isn’t spoken about more! Definitely somewhere to visit in Glasgow!

Tried here on the back of another restaurant not taking a booking and so glad we did . Great food , well presented and delicious. This is a small restaurant and the menu choices are adequate to deal with number of covers . Staff are very polite and approachable. Toliets were squeaky clean . Price with drinks and tip was approx £30 each . Would I go back ? Yes 100%

Really lovely restaurant inside. Staff so nice and food was delicious! Pate starter was a real hit and chicken Milanese very good. Highly recommend.

Partner loved her eggs with spinach my Scottish breakfast was poor. Hate to say it but the worst breakfast I e ever been served in a restaurant, it looked the part all piled up on top of a bit of bread but tasted terrible, very bland eggs and the rest must have been cooked earlier or left under a heat light for ages. I’d advise to give this place a miss. I actually left my plate almost the same as I got it, did eat the egg but left the rest. Definite worth the money.

What a fabulous spot for a delicious breakfast or lunch. Particularly like the Halloumi eggs dish. Jessica is so welcoming and attentive. Will be trying this in the evening.

What a lovely run Restaurant, popped in for a carry out soup Potato and mushroom with crusty bread with a little bit of spice.Staff very friendly and attentive. 5 Star.

Excellent food in a beautiful restaurant with really lovely staff. Pizzas & pastas are fabulous and all very reasonably priced. Well worth a visit.

The service was very bad, antipasto starter meat was shop bought ham, main Lasagne had hardly any meat or sauce mostly just soggy pasta. My daughter bought me a voucher for here for my birthday. Sorry to say won’t go back unless they make big changes

We've just enjoyed a really delicious meal in Faro. What a pleasure from start to finish. The food, the atmosphere and the service were all top quality. They are currently offering a festive 2 or 3 course dinner menu which isn't as extenaive as their usual menu, but this is fairly normal at this time of year.....and wow every dish we had was packed with flavour and had been prepared perfectly. Thank you to all at Faro, we will definitely be back, maybe even before we can spend our complimentary money off vouchers in January !

A great place. Gabriela made us very welcome. A good choice of wine and other drinks. The food is well prepared and imaginatively cooked. Will be back again soon.

Faro kindly hosted our work colleagues retirement celebration and they couldn't have done any more! The staff were extremely helpful and the food was delicious. 27 people attended and everyone enjoyed their meal and praised the restaurant. Highly recommend visiting Faro and looking forward to returning to try some more of their menu. Thank you again for helping us and giving us a wonderful evening.

Delicious breakfast/ brunch place with helpful lovely service. The coffeeshop is centrally located and has a yummy menu and great food.

Bit rude actually! Food was okay but the waiter waited until we sat down (and had ordered) to tell us next time not to bring drinks for outside. I felt if it was an issue then it should have said before we sat down as we could have went elsewhere. Ruined the full experience and I was given the wrong thing from what I had actually ordered, but after being ‘told off’ I didn’t want to cause any bother so just ate it anyway. Honestly, I have never had a bad experience before from a restaurant or left a negative review but truly disappointed as I thought Shawlands was all about supporting small businesses so unsure why bringing a drink from a cafe down the street was an issue when we were ordering anyway!

We visited Faro on Saturday morning for Brunch. We were given a warm welcome and seated quickly. There is a good selection on the brunch menu and some really good Vegan options. Food arrived quickly & was very good. Service was excellent. Will definitely going back

I have been to Faro twice now. The first time was for brunch. It was not great. The service was poor and the poached eggs were not cooked. I decided to give it another chance and went for dinner last night. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. I will definitely return.

We had brunch today and the food was delicious when we finally got it. Overall feeling is stressful and anxious though as staff seem very disorganised, lack leadership and seem unaware of basics in service. (Server regularly running hands through his hair then serving food and drinks, not checking in on customers, not giving menus, leaving customers sitting waiting for long periods of time after ordering or requesting things. ) We witnessed a couple of tables giving up and leaving as not receiving any service and numerous people asking more than once for bill and for a chance to order food and drinks. Another observation was that the cutlery is too small (probably more suited to desserts or cakes) and not sharp enough to cut through sourdough and certainly wouldn't be appropriate for a dinner. So all in all, there seem to be a number of teething problems, hopefully they will be sorted soon as it would be a shame to lose yet another eatery in this premises especially as I mentioned at the start, the food really was tasty.

Had a lovely breakfast here after buying a voucher on Itison. The service was fantastic - super friendly and attentive without being overbearing - and the food delish. We both had the eggs Benedict which was tasty. The other items on the menu sounded great as well. Coffees were very good too. Large and decently priced. Will be back here even without a voucher! Can’t wait to try their evening dishes and cocktails!

Came here for breakfast, the service was welcoming and attentive. Good choice on the menu and different to what you usually see. I ordered the mushroom bruchetta on sourdough with a poached egg, all of which was cooked to perfection. Will Definitely be back
