Familia Cafe in Newham

I just passed the cafe and decided to pick up a coffee, a pasteis de nata and a pain au chocolat. All seriously lovely, and as I moved to the area recently, I hope to start visiting regularly!

Spanish breakfast is my favourite, with pancetta added to the tomatoes and garlic on lovely bread. Great custard tarts and other cakes and pastries too. Small and sociable inside.

Excellent small cafe with a pretty garden. Lovely range of savouries at very reasonable prices and delicious fresh cakes. A great place to meet local people and find out what's happening. Oh... and a really good cup of coffee.

I'm here at least twice a week. Small, but they also have a nice little garden out the back. Good selection of sandwiches, toast, and cake. Most importantly, they make great coffee and were the first place in the area to do proper oatmilk. Great taste in music too...

I popped in yesterday for a take away coffee. I don't drink milk and was delighted that they used Bonsoy - the highest quality soy milk, so rare as more and more coffee shops are turning to cheap and nasty alternatives. The coffee was great, and the service was great too. This place is a gem

I discovered this cafe out of curiosity, family owned coffee shop which sell authentic food and drinks. I had Bri, cranberry sauce with leaves toasted sandwich and a cappuccino. The food and beverage was delicious and food presentation was very nice. The cafe design is nice, stunning picture frames, wooden table and chairs. The place is very clean and I would come back again. Cafe is divine.

My friend who lives locally lives this little cafe and having been now myself I totally recommend why! It’s so cosy and full of cakey treats. The outdoor area in the back is a little treasure. I loved the banana bread we had with our drinks and the chocolate Madeira cake and pistachio carrot slice I took away to have during my train trip home. Would definitely recommend and return again when I’m In the area.

I have only ever had coffee here, to take away, either a flat white or a latte. Always good. Service has always been first rate. Very nice place, shame it cant be in a bigger building but there we go. It has a garden, which is a great touch. Lovely place.

I visited this place on a sweltering June day after visting a rival establishment, where thete was no food! Anyway, it was nice to go somewhere where the tables match; not ex school dinner tables; and the crockery is not a job lot from a carboot sale. The service was great and the food didn't cost the Earth. I explained to Lady at the counter that I had a three year old with me and she was happy to vary the menu to meet his needs. Sat out in garden and really enjoyed it! Yes it's small and there are larger rivals locally, but this particular day it was a life saves.😊

It's a nice place and the staff are friendly. I would recommend an early morning coffee and breakfast if you plan on heading in to town as the portions keep you full for the day! A welcome addition!

What a hidden gem in East London! This is such a lovely place, with great coffee and yummy babyccino for my little one. Very friendly staff!

I came in on Saturday expecting good things. It was fairly busy but then it's a small place so it should be. I ordered a standard milky coffee and was served within a reasonable time and in a pleasant manner that made me smile. The coffee however was atrocious! The coffee itself was sour/bitter/acidic, whatever unpleasant word you wish to use thats it and the milk tasted like it had curdled on top of the bad coffee. I left my half drunk coffee there - sadly I had taken a massive gulp already. It wasn't just me, a lady next to me had to re-order her drink 3 times as she said it 'still isn't hot enough'. Was it a bad day for them? Maybe. But serving coffee like that should be illegal!!!! Should I have just asked for a refund? Perhaps but I was so disenchanted I thought it best to just leave and try elsewhere.

This is a good addition to Forest Gate. They make great, good sized coffees and the food is nice too. Prices are in line with similar London cafes. There is a good garden at the back of the coffee shop (walk through the 'kitchen' space...) and the inside space is nice enough. It's small, though, so everyone can hear your conversation! Toasted ciabatta sandwiches are good for lunch.

Coffees great. Not had food here really but the gluten free brownie was only a pound (mind you, it was for Ken and barbie but I'm on a diet so I didn't mind). Coffee comes in standard sized cups and tastes good.

This place is just great. Genuinely lovely staff, fantastic coffee (the best in FG in my opinion), lovely breakfast/lunch menu, cakes, beautiful rear garden, awesome music, the coffee! I really can't recommend this establishment enough. I hope you folks go from strength to strength.

I've become a regular at this great small cafe. The coffee and brownies are a delicious combination. The owner and staff are great too. Please try this cafe - you won't be disappointed.

I absolutely love this little cafe in Forest Gate. The service and produce is some of best I've experienced in the whole of London. And working in restaurant PR means I've experienced a great number of places. I'll be back very soon!

The flat whites are just lovely.... every time. Every single time. To make matters worse, the Patas de Natas (custard tarts) are unreasonably nice. I am definitely not beachbody ready any longer since these guys opened up.

We went during the half term and still wasn't too busy to spend a good time chatting with coffee and cake. We felt welcome in our first time in this new cafe in Forest Gate. Hope to find other healthy choices next time!
