Faisal Asian Takeaway in Barnsley

Naan bread was cold and pasted with garlic paste, onion bhajis cold and burnt, doner kebab no salad, charging £3 for a pickle tray only 2 small tubs. Awful awful £27 down

Decided to have an Indian after the football game tonight I was with my mum and dad and our next door neighbours, I ordered two curries rice and two chicken kebabs. When I phoned them I told them I wanted two chicken kebabs with chips and Mayo, which when I went to collect and brought home I ended up with chicken tikka on a portion of chips. (Not a kebab which I ordered) So I rang up and explained what I had received they said it was a miscommunication and that I shouldn’t order kebab with chips as it comes like that. Strange! I went then and drove back to the takeaway shop to get a fresh KEBAB however when I got home the 2nd time yet again it was wrong we ended up getting a pita with chicken tikka in. (No nan bread or salad and onions and very small) So we had to eat it as we was hungry and couldn’t be bothered going back yet again. The curry was good and warm just don’t order a kebab as it’s really not worth the stress.

Ordered a curry as this place was recommended by friends , it was far for good in fact was awful, it tastes like someone dropped a bag of sugar in it ,it was like tomato purée and sugar , vile do not order from here !!!!

Absolutely dry as a bone!! had a mix meat tandoori dish and was dreadful. The only way I can describe it is you've left meat out on the kitchen side over night and the following day you decide to take a bite out of that meat and instantly wish you hadn't because its as dry as the Sahara desert. The only way you'd enjoy the food is if you didn't have a taste buds and just come off bear grylls the island. Fancy a decent meal? Don't eat here!

Great restaurant, offered both my crew mate and I free food during this difficult time! The food was excellent, hot and cooked as specified! Will definitely call again! Keep up the good work guys!

We visited Faisal during our meal break whilst working the night shift, the staff were very friendly and the food was lovely! Lots of choice too. The staff at Faisal did not charge us for our order, as a thank you for being NHS Ambulance staff! We were very touched by this kind gesture as we really did not expect it. Thankyou so much! We would highly recommend Faisal to anyone! :-) A** fast service xx

Come here last night for a takeaway after a night out around Hoyland common and I had the Garlic Margherita pizza which was absolutely lovely and my bloke had just a burger and chips and that was lovely you have to put ur own salt and vinegar on yourself. ... Don't let the outside put u of just go in and make ur order as I won't be let down and me and my bloke will definitely be going there again as the food and pizza was amazing

first time we have picked a takeaway up from here and we will definitely go back . Cheap and tasty, what more do you want !

On a couple of occasions we have given this place another go to find we have yet again been disappointed with the food (very average), the service and have to phone back for missed items we have paid for. They tell you the will deliver missing items but just don’t turn up. Won’t be using again!!!

We've had takeaways from here in the past - both curries and pizzas and have been satisfied. Last night we had 2 pizzas with chips delivered. When I ordered, I was told they would take 50 minutes. They actually arrived 1 hour and 15 minutes later. The chips were stone cold and wet, because they had sweated in the polystyrene carton. The pizzas were not cooked thoroughly. The dough was still raw and to add insult to injury, they were stone cold too. They looked and tasted like a soggy, greasy mass. I couldn't even rescue them by reheating them. A total waste of money. We won't be using this place again.

We ordered some food to our office, a pizza, southern fried chicken, large chicken tikka and chips, pizza and garlic bread. I had the large chicken tikka and chips and a few slices of garlic bread. The garlic bread was nice but the chicken tikka and chips were disgusting. The chicken was not freshly cooked, it tasted like it had been cooked, frozen, defrosted and microwaved. The chips were just as bad, they were not freshly cooked either. For a large the portion was pathetic, there must have been 6 chunks of meat. I guess that does not matter as after 2 bites it went in the bin. My colleague who had the kebab had a few bites of his and binned it aswell. The southern fried chicken was "not great". If is the first time I have ever had a take away and binned it after a few bites. The order should have also qualified for a free garlic bread (the one we had we paid for). This never arrived.

Food came earlier then expected and the delivery man wats very nice, as for the food the korma had no flavour at all and and obviously had way too much coconut milk in as it was a pale yellow colour. The onion bhajis we're dry like they had been left sitting on the side and the garlic naan was horrendous. Instead of mixing garlic into the naan batter they just used a normal naan then doused it in a very strong garlic paste that was so strong that all the rest of the bland curry tasted like garlic. The only upside was that the chicken was well cooked and not grisly. Overall a waste of £20 and definitely will not be ordering again

Just been and got a doner kebab in nan bread , had to return it as it was swimming in Grease And I mean it was uneatable . Had another one made got it home and bugger me it was just as bad . Wish I had taken photos of it now to show how bad it was !! Will never be going bk that is a fact !!!!!

Took 1 hour 45 minutes to deliver a pizza that's 5 minutes down the road. Pizza were warm and soggy. Wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Faisal never disappoint with the quality of the food and the speed of their service. Their meal deal offers are also very good. A great place for a curry, pizza, kebab, burgers or something speedy to eat.

The curry was nice and the nan bread etc just the kebab meat tasted a little bland and wasn't to my liking. The delivery driver was very polite on time no problems there. So the overall service was good i would or from here again but i wouldn't buy the kebab again unfortunately i haven't found many places that do really nice kebab.

First time time ordering from this takeaway and I loved it. The chicken tikka Bhuna was delish, lots of chicken and lovely spiced. Food came early which was great as we were starving! food all hot & fresh. Will definitely be my go to takeaway from now on :)

I ordered a “Faisal’s special” It was disgusting. After one fork full of the “red mess” it went straight in the bin.

Been to a birthday party in hoyland and was staying at the premier inn so ordered a takeaway from faisals .delivered to the reception at 11.30 and the food was amazing. Best onion bhajis I've ever tasted.The tandoori mixed special was amazing .,really enjoyed the whole experience.,Thank You .

best thing about Faisal is the delivery guy, so nice talkative a really pleasant guy! the pizza was ok my food literally came in under 10 minutes from placing the order. maybe this was why the breaded garlic mushrooms were not cooked seemed hot from the outside but the mushrooms were cold not even slightly warm just cold.

Ordered a chicken tikka main which was pretty tasty. What we can't get over though, was the vegetable masala the wife ordered. It was a load of frozen peas, carrots and sweetcorn chucked into a bland curry sauce. The furthest thing from an authentic curry that it's possible to get. We won't be ordering a curry from here again. Terrible.
