I can’t fault it! I was cod when I arrived and the young woman working behind the bar brought a heater to warm me. Excellent food, I had the pie, followed by crumble and custard. Well prepared wholesome food. Plenty of food, you won’t leave the fairy glen hungry!

We were staying at a nearby Airbnb and frequented the pub on numerous occasions during the week for drinks outside after walking in the hills and on 2 occasions for evening meal. A great selection of Beers and Ciders are on offer and the menu is small but the portion sizes plentiful. We found the menu to be expanded by a great specials board next to the bar.

Had a lovely walk from Tyddyn Du touring park took us around 25 mins with lovely views of the bay along the way. The gentleman serving gave us a warm welcome and we ordered our food and drinks. Cooked from scratch they arrived looking fantastic. We ordered the gammon and steak and kidney pudding and we weren’t disappointed. In fact our only regret is that we found it on our last day and we couldn’t sample more of the menu!

So… their Facebook page advertises opening hours for food … it’s clear and I have even taken a photo as it was updated in May this year… lunch served Mon-Fri 12 - 2… We travelled over from Angelsey with our 94 year old father … arriving at 1:30 …. To be told they had stopped serving … I showed him the Facebook Page and you would have thought they would apologise and ask what we wanted but oh no - not even an apology! Infact the male bar person was rude! SHAME ON YOU FAIRY GLEN….

Such a shame. An end of an era. We’ve been coming here for almost 20years ordering the exact same dish, Chicken breast with creamy mushroom sauce. We come all the way from Caernarfon to have this dish. If there are 6 of us then 6 of us will have it, if there are 2 then 2 will … but the unspoken as a family is we cannot go to Fairy Glen and have anything other than this dish. It’s more than just a dish, it’s memories that become a reality whilst new ones are being made. It’s whenever we have family meals, boyfriends/girlfriends meeting the rest of the family… they get introduced to the family by way of this dish at Fairy Glen. It’s become a family tradition at this point. Today after a long day at work, my partner and I arranged to eat at Fairy Glen. It was appalling to see our food being cooked by a waitress, who had no clue what she was doing. It wasn’t made by a chef. She was being reassured by another waitress that you’re doing fine don’t worry! When our food came out they both had a look of worry on their faces to see if we’re going to realise the difference in quality. Well when we’ve been having the same dish for almost 20years, we can notice a difference in quality. The mushroom sauce looked as if it had just been poured out of a jar, the chicken had bits of fat still attached to it with no flavour whatsoever. Frozen chips and garden peas were the winners. When we left, my partner and I started experiencing severe tummy aches and thinking back to the food we’ve just ate made it worse. I understand that you must keep your labour costs to a low but having your waitress cook as well as serve is just unacceptable. The poor girl looked petrified cooking it and serving it. She was butterflying the chicken like it was her first time. She was shocked that we said everything was fine when she came over to ask how our food was (purely to avoid an unpleasant atmosphere). We’re upset by this as a family, I have no idea what I’ve eaten as my stomach is seriously upset. Poor decision making which has resulted in 20years of continuous business come to an end.

Had home made burger and she had moussaka . Both off the specials board. Best burger have ever had and so big with the chips peas salad onion rings coleslaw and peas that I struggled to finish it.beware of adding too many toppings if you want an empty plate. The moussaka was as good as any we had in Crete two weeks ago. Great tasty food in great portions. Will be back again now we have been hooked.

The pub is in a fabulous location but is not as "wow" as the surroundings. Food is ok and reasonably priced. Menu had nothing cold except a ploughmans which was only available until 5pm. Typical pub food supported by specials which included Mac and Cheese. Moussaka and a gourmet burger. No salads to be seen. Inside is a bit of a mixed environment, small "restaurant", small main bar area and a small pool room. Strange mix of decor ranging from Audrey Hepburn to an Everton shirt. Mainly sat outside as we have a dog. Its a bit of a mess, mishmash of tables and chairs and benches. No cover from the sun except a small area under the pergola which had some kind of cloth stuck under the clear plastic corrugated roof. Sitting there meant you had the joy of the ladies toilet window next to you which waz open. Service is ok. You order at the bar, they bring your food and you dont see them again unless you go back in to order something else. Just lacks attention to details generally - the two a-boards dont match and seem to have a bit of a jungle growing behind them. Building needs a repaint and the styling everywhere needs a rethink. Could be amazing with some investment and standards.

The Fairy Glen is located in a gorgeous location of the old Horseshoe Pass. There is a small car park out front and parking otherwise on the road nearby. The pub has a friendly relaxed environment with excellent friendly and helpful staff. The menu had a good gluten free selection with thai sweet chilli fishcakes and I went for the steak and ale pie. Portions were really decent and the food was fresh, tasty and served well as pictures show. For r the quality of the food prices were reasonable and both meals worth the money. Wasn't on TA when we first went here but staying locally return time and time again and never disappointed, admittedly was very quiet in half term so no need to book or wait long.Staff were very helpful indeed and prices great, nice simple pub fare which we all polished off and child friendly too, has been refurbished over the years and now has a separate restaurant section but we preferred to stay in the bar and then go to play a game of pool in the adjacent bar area too. limited parking but roadside spaces are nearby and weather permitting the outside area is fine but like most pubs it is plagued by inconsiderate smokers polluting your air so not nice to be outside in every pub in the uk at the moment. I note one whine about dogs not being admitted, that is great and a positive, if you want to eat out with animals you have to expect this and as I have children who fear dogs I like it, go to other places. I steer clear of pubs that allow animals in.

Absolutely superb food. Burger lovers, GET the Gourmet burger and you'll have completed your life! The staff are 10/10 for being helpful and polite, the pub is ultra clean, the 'normal' menu and the specials were all sampled by our group and each meal was beautiful. Well worth the money and the surrounding area is also beautifu. Great value for money too. Will definitely be back, highly recommended.

This is a very pretty little pub in a lovely setting but not very welcoming. We went in for a drink to check it out for dinner later but even though they were still serving food we were told in a less than friendly manner that they were closed. He then relented and told us we could drink outside. Needless to say we declined and went to dinner in the excellent Gladstone just down the road. We won’t risk the Fairy Glen again

Nothing special really. This place used to be great and reasonably priced, but now about £13 for a very salty lasagne?? Couldn’t finish my meal as I was worried it would give me heart failure. Disappointing specials board - burger & chips? again overpriced - could come to £20 after extras are added - stick to McDonald’s

My husband and I decided to visit the Fairy Glen for my birthday meal and absolutely loved it. We turned up earlier than our booking thinking we'd have a drink first. The lady behind the bar (I forget her name) was so welcoming and said it was perfectly fine to sit by the bar to eat as I have mobility issues. Our food was so delicious!! I had the half Duck with peas and chips and it was such a generous portion I had to take some of it home. My husband had a burger and chips and absolutely enjoyed it. We have decided to go there once a month for our date night. I absolutely recommend this place. It's gorgeous and and the staff are lovely. The lady that was in the kitchen was young and brilliant at her job, food was served very quickly.

Dropped by for a pint on way back from Conwy. Interesting pub, with a strange interior but clean, friendly staff, serving great beer! Pick nick tables out front to sit on whilst watching the world go by...slowly 👍

Evening meal on a Saturday night. Pub is pleasant enough and the staff were friendly and helpful. Reason for only giving three stars was the food - pub ‘grub’ has moved on so much in recent years and unfortunately what we had last night was, by current standards, decidedly ordinary. Portions were large, so large in fact that one dish (a curry) really needed a bigger plate to be served sensibly! We had chips that I’m pretty sure had been frozen, they were of a very poor quality, and - bizarrely - the curry was served with a large side portion of peas and a dollop of coleslaw on top on a bit of salad! Plating up food is I appreciate subjective, but this to me was just plain weird. So, nice pub for a pint and maybe a bar snack, but for ‘proper’ dining it’s way off the pace.

We called at The Fairy Glen yesterday lunch time for a drink with friends and our small dog. It was quiet when we arrived and we ordered drinks and then another round; the pub had become busier by this time and we were astonished after spending almost £40 over the bar we were asked to leave because the dog had barked once!

We heard great things about this pub and decided to dine there for the first time. The staff are pleasant but the food was tasteless and over priced

We came here for a Mother’s Day meal after walking the dogs on the beach. The staff were incredibly helpful and the pub has a lovely cozy feel. Thankfully none of us had starters because the main was huge and beautifully cooked. One of us had half a duck in cherry sauce and it was perfectly cooked with whole cherries in the sauce. Two of us had the chicken korma which was very tasty and full of big pieces of chicken and mum had salmon which again was cooked to perfection and such a large portion of chips and veg that she couldn’t eat it all. The rhubarb crumble was beautiful and not over sweetened and the coffee and whiskey trifle was very nice. The place was so friendly that while I nipped out for a smoke I ended up having a great chat with one of the locals and the barman about music. Well work a visit and it’s on our list to visit again.

Popped back after a busy day out and long walk to Conwy with friends and family. All were well catered for adults, children and vegetarian. Portion sizes are large and food was hot and tasty and quite a large choice for a small establishment. Staff were very helpful, pleasant and relaxed. Children and adults finished off with a few games of pool. It was a lovely evening

Went for lunch today for the first time. Lovely fresh food. I had the scampi which was nice and golden brown with homemade chips . Husband had the gammon with homemade chips. A joy to find chips cooked like that as a lot of places do frozen. Staff were attentive and friendly, checked we were enjoying our meal. Will definitely return.

Another visit to this lovely site and this brilliant restaurant. The food is always gorgeous and tasty. The staff are really friendly and always make you feel so welcome. We had two evening meals there and a Sunday Roast which was simply the best we have ever tasted. So you can imagine our shock and horror when we were told that the bar and restaurant is to knocked down to accomodate two more mobile homes. This is an absolute travesty and will be a huge loss to the site. In fact a site with zero facilities will not be top of my list in the future. Thanks to Mo and the team for doing such a brilliant job.
