Excellent food and service. Very accommodating and very good servers

This was my second time visiting, and the food was delicious as always. The customer service was great, and all the staff were lovely.

Quick service for incredible food which was very well priced considering the quality and quantity of portions. Drinks are always great and I love their mocktails! And of course, the staff are very friendly, a great experience overall.

We went there for my partner’s birthday and we were attended to by Tasneem. Very lovely service. She recommended we get the lamb platter which was sooo lovely. Pity I couldn’t eat much cos of menstrual cramp. She still gave us plate to take it home. She asked of allergies and all stuff. Very lovely restaurant. I totally recommend . The chef making the lamb specially with fire and stuff got me so excited. we absolutely enjoyed it.

Ample serving size. A platter for 2 would have been enough for 3-4 people. Complementary water and qehwa in the end. The highlight was “Sabia” - such a pleasant face and so proactive in helping (we had 2 kids and had to ask for stuff a few times). Rest of them were also great. Made our night out 😊 Would definitely go again

I thoroughly enjoyed dinner tonight. The drills were great, and the lemonade with mint was amazing. Not to forget, the high-standard service was exceptional.

The service was five-star, and the food was cooked perfectly. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and spacious. We will certainly return when we are next in Leicester.

This has got to be by far one of Leicesters most underrated restaurants, genuinely can't fault the place! I've been about 6 times through the year and every time they have been perfect. The atmosphere is so chill and the place is spacious with seating thats great for couples, families and parties etc.. service is top notch and nothing seems to be too much trouble for them. Food has always been amazing, flavourful and steak is always cooked to perfection! Very reasonably priced as well and the portion sizes are spot on. Would highly recommend!

Absolutely fantastic experience at Etçi Bab Turkish Restaurant! The service was impeccable – the staff were attentive, friendly, and made us feel so welcome. The food was an absolute 10/10, bursting with authentic flavors. I tried the Sigara Böreği, which was crispy, perfectly spiced, and incredibly satisfying. The Sarma Beyti (lamb in a wrap) was a true standout – tender, flavorful, and beautifully presented. To top it all off, we were treated to complimentary tea, which was the perfect end to an unforgettable meal. Highly recommend this gem – can’t wait to return!

What an unbelievable disappointment. I had food delivered through uber eats, the food was so horrible £34 straight in the bin. I dont know what all these positive comments are all about but the food i had was disgusting. The lamb chop smelt like public restroom. Lamb and chicken shish tasted like yesterdays meat. (all strait in the bin) Salad bad. The only good thing was calamari but that's probably they didn't have to do too much other than frying it. Overall 1/10 Don't recommend!

We love this spot. We are regulars and they serve the best lamb ribs, chops and mixed grill. I'm not joking when I say that their food tastes better than restaurants in Cappadocia and Istanbul. Highly recommend. Big shout out to Amani who always makes us feel special!

We visited and enjoyed the mixed grill for 2. Everything was clean and the staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. The bathrooms were clean and the food was fantastic. The prayer room is a little small but tidy alhamdulillah. We especially appreciated the lack of alcohol in the restaurant and made us feel even more comfortable eating here.

Walked in off the street (no booking) and was greeted by a very warm welcome. Showed straight to a table for the four of us. First visit. First impression, excellent. Such friendly staff from the waiters and waitresses, to the managers and even the head chief took time to say hello from the kitchen. The food was superb. The whole visit was a very nice experience. Would we go back? 100% we would. Great place. Great staff. Great food. Great prices. What more could you ask for !

"Amazing Steak and a Fun Surprise at Etci Baba!" We had a fantastic dinner at Etci Baba in Leicester! The steak was perfectly cooked—juicy, tender, and full of flavor. The atmosphere was lively, but what really stood out was our waitress, Lamia. She explained everything in English like a pro, making our experience even better. The best part? At the end, she casually revealed she’s Bangali! We could’ve been chatting in Bangla the whole time—now that’s a twist we didn’t see coming! Great food, great service—definitely recommend!

I planned an evening here a few weeks before and to be honest I felt super good, better than I expected. the atmosphere was super pleasant, the waiters were friendly and I really liked the food...the way the meat was prepared in front of us was spectacular. thank you for the hospitality and the efforts made for us to have a successful evening:x

We visited this restaurant today and wow, if I could give 10 stars, I would! the service from start to finish was amazing. Our waiter Sam Was so attentive, he made sure our table was ready for us as soon as we turned up, Water for the table without us having to ask for it, He was really friendly and chatty with our daughter, Rather than like some places we’ve been who tend to ignore Children he made sure to listen to what she was asking him Which was really sweet, He checked that our food was okay and another staff member made sure to let us know that our drinks were on their way. We felt really well taken care of. Not only was the food absolutely delicious it was all served in a really timely manner piping hot, I couldn’t fault it, a fabulous experience from start to finish. I would highly recommend this restaurant not only for the food but the service and to top it all off it was my husband’s birthday and they brought out baklava with sparklers and Dry ice which was just brilliant and he loved it. Thank you!!

Food is good just a bit expensive but service is horrible

Had really nice food and dessert here. For me the Filet Mignon Steak was the stand out dish, 10/10.

The cold mix meze platter tasted delicious with the Turkish bread. Good variety however the delivery driver could’ve taken more care. The tavuk kofte was okay, rice was too thick for my liking. Sadly the kymali pide was a huge let down, hardly had any decent amount of topping and was predominantly just cheese.

Chose this restaurant because of the reviews and I can honestly say it did not disappoint. Friendly staff, good atmosphere and the food was amazing and at a reasonable price as well. Will definitely go here again

Managed to grab a last minute table on a Saturday night. Fantastic service, food was excellent, and reasonably priced. Food and drinks came out really quickly even though they were very busy. Would highly recommend and will be visiting again

Food has gone downhill since 2-3 years now. Small portions and high prices. Food tastes bland. Food is always cold whenever it comes. 3rd time it's cold now in last 1 year. Not a very authentic Turkish restaurant experience. Takes bloody 5-10 mins to get attention of a waiter. Have to stand up and wave constantly. Very let down. Not going to attempt it again, hoping that they have improved. Just not worth it. I can spend a quarter of the money I spent there on a nice tasteful Turkish meal elsewhere and get more meat on the table than Etci. Etci is just a rip off.

Booked the restaurant for a birthday party but didn’t live to expectations. The service was very poor and random supply of ordered food, cutlery and crockery had to be asked for, dirty toilets floor and prayer room and mediocre food. Restaurant has low staff to client ratio, a real struggle to get the food as ordered, too many excuses given, very disappointing experience.

I had an incredible dining experience at Etci Baba, thanks to the exceptional service from Imran. He truly went above and beyond to look after us. There was a small issue with the food I ordered, but Imran rectified it immediately and with great care. Food was delicious and very flavoured! We were celebrating my best friend’s engagement and to our surprise, Imran brought out a dessert with a candle and clapped for the bride to be! It was such a kind and lovely gesture that made the evening truly memorable. Thank you so much, Imran, for making our celebration special!

Had a table of 10 food was very nice freshly grileed meat on charcoal sides were really nice too, service spot on, even had a guy slice the chops at the table with some fun smoke display , the price was surprisingly very good, loadsa food we had to take a lot of back home will deffo be returning
