Ephesus Restaurant in Central Bedfordshire

Ssrvice was quick, food was fresh and tasty. Eat a few things I might not normally eat. Staff was attentive without being overly so. Would eat here again but just passing thru on a canal boat.

Feel really sad writing this. Firstly we walked in on a Friday night and the place was dead and silent. It was 7-15pm no music no atmosphere and no vibe. The staff were shocked when we walked in. We was the only table in there for about half a hour until more tables arrived. We ordered 4 drinks , 2 of the 4 were out of stock. Then ordered some starters and mains. The service I hate to say but was just unprofessional. The staff need training on how to serve professionally, efficiently and effectively. They were bringing our drinks over hand in hand, no tray. When our mains had arrived I was extremely disappointed that the mixed grill ( chicken and lamb) was served to that standard. For nearly £17 we expected a lot more than not even half a chicken breast 4 chunks of lamb and a handful of rice. This was extremely overpriced for the portion size! We waited 25 minutes for our plates to be cleared, the restaurant was not busy for the members of staff who kept looking over seeing our empty plates and not clearing them. We did actually want the dessert menu but with know acknowledgment we was over it so we got the bill eventually. Unfortunately this was our first visit and not a great first impression. I saw no sign of any senior member of staff or management around to manage the service on Friday night. This was just disappointing and we genuinely feel like it was not worth money. It'd been a while, probably a couple of years since our last visit, but we knew the food was just as good as we have takeaways regularly. We weren't disappointed to be there in person, good wine list, beautifully prepared, really tasty food and excellent staff. We'll be back for more soon.

Oh my, delicioius warm fresh bread with yummy dips, could have gorged on that alone. Shared Sucuk & Borak - as great as any other Turkish we've visited (there's been a lot!). Both had the Adana Kebab and this we agreed is the best we've had. Delicate/subtle flavours, perfect texture, large size. I had the rice which had orzo into and was delish, he swapped for potatoes (I was envious). Service was great. Chairs we comfortable, nice atmosphere. Very very happy.

Went last week family of 3 for lunch. Superb lunchtime menu and very good value. We were looked after from the moment we arrived, great service. Everything was cooked to perfection and are planning on going back very soon.

Two of us visited for lunch and had a fantastic variety of starters with two tasty mains (lamb shish and lamb kofte) from their lunch menu. Great value, nice service and neither of us needed dinner that night!

A group of friends celebrating a birthday, waited 2 hours for the starters to arrive. After asking for them numerous times. 3 other tables arrived after us and had almost finished their meals before we even began ours! We then waited another 50 mins for any of the mains to arrive. The 1st one to come to the table was wrong…. The moussaka was bubbling hot on top and stone cold inside. And the chicken princess should have had rice and salad, yet only a bowl of sloppy gruel was given. We asked for a manager to come to the table, only for him to come to the table and tell us it’s ok, just eat it….! We refused to pay for the food and would only pay for our drinks… all members of staff walked away leaving us sitting with a table of terrible food. We asked 4 times for the drinks bill. The lad behind the bar then asked why we didn’t complain at the beginning of the evening!! If I’d have been given my food earlier I would have!! Over 3 hours wasted, and still no food. Bad food, bad staff, bad attitudes. Will not be going there again.

Disgusting unacceptable discrimatory behaviour from the owners of this restaurant. When we came into the resturant we were heading towards the back but the owners asked the waitress in their own language, to ask us to sit at the front as they had a table at the back, staring at us the entire walk from the front door to the table where we planned on sitting. They spoke to a staff member in Turkish who came over to us and told us the kitchen was closed at 9pm even though the restaurant closed at 11pm. They did us a massive favour as we found the Mevan restaurant which had a significantly better vibe and fantastic staff members who made us feel very welcome and the food was absolutely amazing. We will not hesitate to reccomend them to all!!!! of our friends, etc. Every cloud has a silver lining and you never judge a book by its cover.

Went for the first time with friends I hadn't seen since before covid, so was really looking forward to it. Not many staff on and the ones there had no clue what to do. Very busy. Ordered starters and drinks which arrived. After starters waited at least an hour for main course. Food was nice when it arrived, although one meal had to to be sent back as it wasn't cooked, and meat was raw. They forgot to bring our second round of drinks. Coffee was absolutely appalling. Won't be visiting again

Pleasant surroundings, good authentic Turkish food. Would help if menu had explanations of dishes English to help customers and waiting staff.

I went to the restaurant today with my family, the food was great and the service was excellent. We will definitely be returning soon.

Ephesus is a very nice restaurant with a lovely atmosphere, The staff are friendly as me and my family were served by Cait who was knowledgeable about the menu and gave off a welcoming vibe. The Food was delicious too! I will definitely be returning and reccomending to friends and family!

Stopped off for lunch in this town when passing on a canal boat holiday, we only sampled the lunch time deal and it was excellent, waitress was great,food was great, really fresh.couldnt find fault with the whole experience .

Just had our first and last meal from Ephesus.I had Moussaka which I think was probably more than a few days old,It was awful.Soggy potatoes and Aubergine,rice was akin to Uncle Bens.My husband had Lamb Sote,the lamb was so tough it was inedible.All in all pretty poor !

This was a bit of a special evening for us. My birthday and our first time since Covid started for us all to be together. The restaurant has taken great care in the pavement cafe style setting, which added to the atmosphere. The service was tip top, very friendly and welcoming service staff. The food was all we could have hoped it would be, tasty, well presented and well served (no long waits). It has been a birthday to remember, thank you

My wife and I came here for a quick lunch after seeing their £11.95 lunch deal. This consists of 1 hot starter, 1 cold starter and 1 main, as well as freshly made breads.I had Halloumi, Babaganoush and Chicken wings. My wife, Halloumi, Hummus and Chicken Shish.The lunch menu is varied and superb value.The waitress was extremely knowledgeable in telling us exactly what each dish was. We informed her we could not eat the bread due to a gluten intolerance, so she arranged for us to have carrot and cucumber sticks which was a really nice touch and very accomodating.My only slight criticism was that the rice doesn't appear to be made in house (could be wrong), but everything else was good that I can't not give them 5* based on my overall experience.We'll be back to try the main dinner menu.

Outside of Greece or Turkey and in many ways including! This was the best Mediterranean meal I have had in years!!! I reserved a table for a special anniversary with my lady and we were blown away with the food service and atmosphere of Ephesus. I would highly recommend trying or coming back to this establishment prior or post lockdown. Thankyou for an amazing evening x. Your chefs are amazing! Jason

The staff were so friendly and all delivered excellent Covid 19 safety measures The menu was very varied and the food was excellent quality and large portions (too large for me). We would definitely recommend this but please book as it gets busy

Have been previously under old management in early September last visit , the food was exceptional, too much to eat n restaurant so had a doggy bag for the next day . Ordered the Ephesus special and loved it, especially the wafer thin chrispy Turkish bread . Went in for a takeaway this evening and ordered the jumbo special for 4 people. Was extremely unhappy to find that there was only two chops, how does that work when it was for 4 people. The rest of the meat was dry and tasteless. The bread was now a thick naan like type of bread which was stodgy, thick and no taste . At £48.00 it was not good value and certainly not enough for 4 people. To say we are gutted is an understatement. Called to complain and was given a satisfactory answer. We had highly recommended it to all our friends and was planning for a large gathering to the restaurant but Sadly after this evening , it will be our last visit,

We booked table for 6 the other night and I must say I have never had better Turkish in my life. Meat moussaka and the lamb shank was cooked to perfection. Our sharing mezze starters were delicious and homemade bread was amazing! The cocktails we ordered were nicely decorated and so tasty. Also covid regulations are kept, at least 2 meters distance between the tables makes you feel very save. We are already planning another family meeting there. Defenetly recommend

Really enjoyed myself here. CoVid regulations were in place and the place has a very nice atmosphere! The staff were friendly and very attentive. Definitely coming back! :)

We had dinner here to celebrate our anniversary. It was the perfect evening from start to finish. When I booked I was asked if it was a special occasion which I confirmed, when we arrived our table was tastefully decorated with a heart shaped balloon and table sprinkles. The staff were friendly and very efficient. They brought out complimentary bread and dips while our starters were prepared. The scallops were cooked to perfection and really tasty. For main we had the Ephesus Special which was wonderful, so tasty with a great salad as well. we couldn’t finish it tbh, but asked to take the rest home (which we never do). The Malbec and pino wines were really good as well. The chef came out and asked if we’d enjoyed our meal and was genuinely interested about our celebration, he said he’d be back in a minute and returned with a baklava desert for us and offered to take our picture. All in all a perfect evening and extremely good value. Many thanks for making our evening so special

I tried Ephesus as a takeaway a few weeks back and loved their chicken shish kebabs. They are so authentic and delicious compared to a 'kebab house'. Yes, you pay a little bit more but it's healthy, a good cut of meat and includes bread, rice, chicken and salad. Wouldn't go anywhere else for my Turkish after this.

Visited recently with friends after a day in the local drinking establishments! As it was Monday, we used the Eat out to Help out discount and the restaurant was really helpful in applying. We shared the Platter for 4 and a Cold Meze selection, with a few cold Cobra's to wash it down. The food was superb and the waiting staff really friendly. Swift service and we only just about managed to devour the portions! we were the last ones in the restaurant and were never once made to feel like we needed to rushed out. Definitely recommend for anyone who loves meat!

A Monday night on Eat out to help out was always going to be difficult.The staff from phone booking and throughout were pleasant but there were just not enough of them.We were out for a leisurely meal so no rush, which was lucky. They had a lot of issues having run out of most of the Alcohol menu and with everything taking a very long time to arrive. When it did the meals were tiny but tasty and the Turkish bread was worth the trip alone!Would have liked to have tried coffee and dessert but sadly nobody offered us menus.We will return when hopefully they will have ironed out their problems.

Visited this restaurant for the first time with our daughter and son in law and we were pleasantly surprised, the service was very attentive for a Saturday evening and food was equally good. We ordered the mixed grill and it was all extremely tasty. Fortunately we gave the starters a swerve as there was more than enough food with the main courses.

We visited for a family meal last night and I was very disappointed. We had to wait a long time to have a drinks orders taken which then took about 25 minutes to come to the table and then my meal came out as something completely different to what I had ordered. The Lady manager with pink hair was very rude to her staff, shouting and Talking down to them in front of customers which made for a bad atmosphere. The food on the whole was tasty and good quality so props to the chefs for that!

Freshly cooked home made bread was sublime, the mushroom starter was amazing, chicken shish was lovely not dry at all - good portion size, excellent value for money! Highly recommend this restaurant

Sublime. From the greeting to the food every thing was perfect. Third visit and better each time and the waitress webt beyond expectations with service making me feel like the only customer in the county let alone restaurant . Would recommend to anyone one enjoys good food and great service

myself and my husband came here for lunch post lockdown. They have a special lunch menu which is incredible value for money. The food was delicious and plentiful and I had one of the nicest Mousakkas I have ever had. Will definately be back!!

Great choice for a birthday meal, lovely friendly staff, good choice on the menu, my other half had the scallops to start they were beautifully cooked, she had prawns for the main, again beautifully cooked and presented. we'll be back

We were looking for a family Sunday lunch for 12 people, prior to a mid afternoon church service, and were recommended that Ephesus, in Leighton Buzzard High Street, could cope with our mix of vegans, vegetarians, pescatarian and meaties, also our age range from a 2 year old to grandparents. We had the place to ourselves, and had excellent service from the one waitress. It's Turkish food, but didn't seem exotic or unfamiliar. For starters we ordered up two sharing plates of cold vegetarian meze, and one of hot meaty meze. Before this arrived, there was bread and dips. The meze ( mixed dishes) were huge, nicely presented, and very tasty--- and we found ourselves wondering why we had ordered main courses....But we had, and they too were very comprehensive ( theres no chance of going home hungry from Ephesus!) . Kids' portions of chicken and chips were tasty, and adult sized! Adult portions were excellent too, with no stinting on the meat or moussaka , plus plenty of rice and vegetables....all very tasty, and well worth a return visit.The final pleasant surprise was the bill, for two courses all round plus ice creams for the kids, plus drinks , which came to comfortably below £20 per head. Ephesus is excellent value, and deserves its success, (but it's easy to overorder). Try it for yourself.

My favourite restaurant in LBZ. Homemade and fired bread, beautiful starters and The lamb shish is exquisite! They always make a fuss of our toddler and he loves bread and dips so everyone is happy. If you like meat you have to try this place.

All 6 of us were extremely happy with the lovely food, our helpful and friendly waitress and the bill at the end of the meal. Drinks were not expensive either. We had a great evening in a lovely atmosphere and would highly recommend Ephesus Turkish Restaurant. We'll be going back again soon.

My husband and I visited Ephesus for lunch today it was our first visit and we definitely will be going again. We had the lunch time special for only £8.95 for two courses. The food was freshly cooked and very tasty. The lovely Kerry served us and made us feel very welcome she really is an asset to this restaurant. We really recommend Ephesus it’s perfect if you like delicious food and fantastic service.

We were there with friends to celebrate birthday. What an amazing night was. We enjoyed every single moment. Food eas yummy. And service was great. Definately will visit again with family and friends.

Truly awful. 20 minutes before anyone came to the table, just over an hour before we got any food, 3 out of 4 meals too cold to eat and not one member of staff cared. We left and went to the chip shop. Please sort it out. Our ever expanding town desperately needs leisure facilities including nice places to eat.

Visited this restaurant for the first time this evening after reading favourable reviews, sadly my husband and I both left feeling disappointed with our meals. Cold Meze starter was basically a plate of dips with cucumber, moussaka that my husband had as his mains was very bland and my lamb kofte was nice but basically 3 meatballs with rice and salad. Service was quick but food was disappointing!

Excellent 2 course lunch (3 course available) with wine and coffee all for less than £20. Food very good nice and spicy, service considerate and quiet. relaxing atmosphere all very comfortable.

We went here for the first time for our son's birthday and wedding anniversary. The decor is clean and modern. Fantastic menu with a huge. We were given plenty of time to order and the waitresses were charming. From the little starters to the main course the food was hot and plentiful and did not leave room for desert! I had the calamari and the lamb which was beautifully cooked. God choice of drinks. Only bad point was that the music was a bit loud and inhibited conversation. Would definitely visit again.

Seven of us visited here for my daughter's 30th birthday. From the moment we arrived to when we left, we were made so welcome by Kerry, the young lady who looked after us. The food was so good, the decor very nice, the Turkish folk music playing in the background...added to a wonderful evening. Kerry you are a credit to the restaurant. You have new customers in all of us. I usually don't write reviews but felt I had to for the Ephesus. Last but not least a big thank you to the Chef .....you too are a credit to this restaurant.

Interesting food and a nice environment. good range of drinks and excellent service. Getting pretty popular so might be an idea to book at busy times.

We visited for a friends birthday and this was my first introduction to Turkish food, the food was plentiful and very nice. The staff were helpful and courteous. The only thing for me was although the restaurant wasn't full it was very hot inside,but dont let that put you off.I will definitely be returning

What a lovely place to come and dine. If ever in Leighton buzzard this place is a must to eat. Went with a party of 6 and all really enjoyed the meal. One guest really enjoyed the feta cheese remarking how they had not had feta like that before and how creamy and delicious it was. Overall the food was amazing. The bread and dips was amazing. All guests in the party really enjoyed and commented how good it was. Not rushed which is always a bonus and staff not overbearing as in some places. Only comment that may be worth pointing out is the gin and tonic came in a small glass not one of the new fashionable gin balloon glasses and always ensure it’s served with tonic and not neat!

Excellent food, reasonably priced, great presentation, speedy friendly service, would highly recommend.

Had lunch with my God daughter who is 14. We both went for the £8.95 two course option. Just as well as bread and dips and olives came quickly. Starters were lovely, mains were quite substantial and tasty. We had a lamb dish as well as a vegetarian. We ordered a potion of roasted veg on the side as sometimes lunch deals mean smaller potions.....not here. Great food and well looked after. Would happily go back.

We came here to catch up after a few months, absolutely fantastic, I had the calamari to start, then the Ali naznik, just fabulous. We all had 3 courses, wine and beer, all great, fantastic service, lovely friendly staff, excellent food, beautifully presented, and fabulous value for money, we all agreed we'd return as soon as possible.

+ Nice atmosphere + friendly staff + nice interior + good food + lovely garlic dip and bread - orange juice came with a plastic straw & napkins were made of paper and not cloth which is not very ecofriendly

Excellent food here and great value for money. I chose the Mixed Grille which was excellent. It is a nice restaurant with modern decor. We were a large party and the staff did well to get all the food out together.

What a lovely place to come and dine. If ever in Leighton buzzard this place is a must to eat. If anything try the platter for two people only and avoid a starter. It’s just way to much. Fantastic

Dropped in on Sunday 23/06/12019 and ate a starters and had the Ephesus special for 2.The food was very good and the house Rose wine was also good too. A very pleasant visit topped by the great service we received by the staff.

This is the best Turkish restaurant in many miles, the food is excellent the price is just right, the staff are fantastic. I can highly recommend this as a top place to dine.

Were in Liehgton Buzzard Sunday night, early, with a need to eat, did not really fancy the Pizza type fast food type places and by luck this place was open. The menu is not extensive but had plenty of choice, dips and wonderful fresh from the oven bread was delivered to the table and our starters arrived shortly after, garlic mushrooms and garlic king prawns both lovely. Our mains came a little while later which generally indicates fresh cooking my lamb shank was melt in the mouth and hubbies mixed shish was well meaty. A bottle of wine, water service and a bottle of cider bought the bill for three to £84 - value. We will return. Also the service was so lovely, friendly but no intrusive nothing seemed to be too much trouble.

I had often walked past and kept hearing good reviews so decided we must go and try it .We went on Friday evening it was fairly quiet and staff were very attentive.The food was amazing and portions large.We are already planning another visit and can recommend it you won't be disappointed with food or the service. Great restaurant to have in our town.

I recently visited Ephesus restaurant in Leighton Buzzard with friends to celebrate my birthday. We ate early and the restaurant was very quiet. The service was excellent with the food delicious and well presented. We had their special meat platter for two and it easily served three people. When the staff overheared that it was my birthday they brought us a complimentary desert with birthday candles. I will definately visit there again.

I took the family for my birthday and had a great time. there were 8 of us and we all had great food and thoroughly enjoyed the evening.

We had a great night . Everything was an excellent from beginning till the end. Fantastic service, great food.

Excellent service, very quick and attentive. The food we chose was fairly simple stuff but it was flavoured and cooked to perfection which made it extra special. Particularly liked the Calamari starter and the Mixed (Lamb & Chicken) Kebab. The complimentary bread and dips were very well received, starters are a good size too. The Calamari were exceptional. Highly enjoyable.

Personally not to keen on Turkish food, after my meal ive began to love it, the meaven before has put me off Turkish food but as soon as i came to ephesus my mind was quickly changed, great service, nice quiet atmosphere and good food! would recommend highly :)

Came to the restaurant for the first time this week on Friday with friends and had a thoroughly good meal. The atmosphere was enjoyable and food delicious! We where served by a young man (Louie) and a young lady (think her name was Emilie) and they where fantastic servers throughout the night! They tended to our every need and nothing was too much hassle. Thank you both for making our evening! The food was top quality- I had the lamb ribs and they where delicious not to mention good value for money! The drinks where also very good. We look forward to coming again in the near future!

Considering the place only has a 3 star food hygiene certificate we thought we would give it a go and give it the benefit of the doubt, the food was raw the meatballs and the Kofta Kebab also raw, no rice available either although the dishes state that they are served with rice and salad, very slow service one man running around like a headless chicken trying to tend to everyone on his own! Charged £2.75 for 2 cokes despite one being a 220ml and one a 330ml, both in glasses but of different size, once challenged they readjusted the price! Very disappointing, not much choice on the menu either, will not return ever again! Shut the place down, what a dive! Immediately felt sick after eating the food although stopping after seeing that it was raw, hopefully it is just a dodgy tummy and nothing else!

Been here before and liked it. Very slow service on this occasion, served by a waitress with extremely limited English - highlighted by the fact that we were brought the wrong food. We weren't reassured once that the correct food was on it's way then received an incorrect bill. Oh dear. Food was OK but I had almost finished mine before my friend had hers - the correct one.

We shared the extremely generous Eupheses Special for £35 – which could have easily fed four people. The different meats were cooked to perfection, and the dish delivered lots of those lovely full on fresh Turkish flavours, it was really delicious! The service was ideal too - being looked after exactly as we would have liked - not fussed over, but loooked after.

My friends and I decided to try the Ephesus as we'd heard it was good. When we arrived we received a friendly greeting, although the staff all looked a bit rushed! It turns out some of the staff had called out sick and so the others were having to run around twice as much, which can certainly be forgiven! The food was very good, and the free bread plentiful. I'll certainly be returning in the future!

What an utter shambles. Booked online, arrived and was confronted by an arrogant young man who told us the online booking system was glitchy and that we were lucky they had a table for us ? We were served a jug of water infused with mint & strawberries ... the only issue with this was SOMEONE HAD EATEN A CHUCK OUT OF THE STRAWBERRY!We were ignored for 30 minutes before menus were eventually given to us - we were looking forward to a Turkish meal but instead looked at dishes such as meatballs stuffed with Red Leicester cheese, ‘lazy lamb’ and mash. Mash. In a turkish?One of our group spotted other diners eating turkish food, what appeared to be a meze & grilled meat etc so we looked ourselves for another menu. We found one on the side and suddenly thought “that’s more like it!” ... only to be told that this isn’t the menu, it might be the menu in the future & we couldn’t order from it. The waitress developed a petulant attitude and told us the other table had not ordered from the menu we had found. She bare-faced lie’d to us which was absolutely disgusting behaviour. I stepped outside, called Mevan up the road who squeezed us in & we walked there and had a fantastic meal - thoroughly recommended. We left Ephesus without paying for the drinks to be followed by the manageress who said she didn’t blame us for walking out, was coming close to doing the same herself, that the staff were incapable and the owner is clueless with running a business. The restaurant recently renamed from Kayra which leads me to believe there is more going on behind the scenes than meets the eye.

My partner and I went there last night with the expectations of normal Turkish fare.... meat with a bit of salad and some bread and dips.What we got was an amazing selection of food - a fusion of Turkish and English flavours all cooked and looked perfect and with such an array of tastes that are still making my mouth water. The hot mezes are incredible.The maitre de took extra care with us - explaining everything and the service was unsurpassable.I'll be seeing these guys a lot more.

We went to the Ephesus for a birthday meal and the whole experience was perfect. The meal was superb, the staff were so helpful giving us great value options. A brilliant night out and a highly recommended place to eat beautiful food.

Walked in and was completely disorientated. The new menu has picked it up and repositioned the food somewhere between Southend-on-Sea and Turkey. Lamb or Chicken with weird tasting mash potato with lumps. Brussel sprouts with everything.... where has the previous chef and happy staff gone?ps - Don't sit in the window. The door has always been broken and you get a cold blast every time someone comes in, until you get up and close it!

Had a get together with work - and had visited the restaurant before - so booked again. After sitting down the menu was definately not what we had previously experienced - and - to be honest - so confusing in its content we got up to leave. However the owner - maître de for the evening explained they had re-named a lot of the dishes - and then took the time to explain them more clearly - and asled us if we could we give it a try. Glad we did - service very good - food again very good - baclarva excellent. Glad we stayed - need to make the menu " Turkish " and de3criptive of the dishes again - but still worth a visit.

WE came in sunday lunch that really amazing food. Coctails alsa was tasy deffinetly come back. Highly recommended

We went to this quality restaurant this evening for the 1st time. The food & service was superb. We enjoyed the complimentary bread with a lovely cheese spread and I would highly recommend the Garlic Mushrooms & Drunken Salmon!! Really nice with a different slant... Tried out the new menu on saturday. A very unique and just as delicious menu. Something thats quite needed in leighton buzzard.

We like this restaurant and have been a few times. It’s homely and the staff are really friendly and helpful. But they’ve changed the menu. No more shish, which were really good or the very tasty flavoured rice and now many barbecued meat dishes come with mashed potatoes. Very odd and not very Mediterranean. Chips, rice or garlicky roast potatoes would be better. I did ask for chips instead but was told the kitchen didn’t like to change.

Last night we ate in your restaurant. We have previously had dinner twice before with incredible Turkish food. When we came last night the menu had changed to our disappointment. The restaurant has lost its purpose and now feels confused. The food was incredibly odd. Chicken wings with peppercorn sauce and Med veg which consisted of Brussel sprouts, mange tout, carrots and peppers. Correct me if I'm wrong but that isn't med veg! Please take this feedback on board before you lose customers. Your restaurant was amazing and didn't need changing. People will just go to Mevan as you aren't offering what you advertise. I overheard numerous customers saying the same last night. As its Christmas you will get more guests in and you may risk them not coming back. Please go back to how things were before its too late

A glass bounced from the bar and hit us showering glass on and around us -mild apology given - chef table menu very misleading - food quality was poor and bland - prices quite high for the quality given - overall a negative experience - would never return. We were lucky and asked about the chef table menu but other customers were charged the full menu price even though they thought that they had selected a menu offer.

In the time we were there both waitresses put coats on and left - new manager apparently not familiar with anything, new menu apparently - food was cold, items missing from plates, NEVER AGAIN

Went for a meal with friends, after visiting about a month ago we were blown away with the menu food was amazing, so we went back only to find the head chef had changed the menu it was very disappointing, so now he has put mashed potato with everything lol won’t be going back , the staff were apologetic about the menu in fact embarrassed, they will soon see when takings go down hill .

As the title suggests it’s just good Turkish food here. You wouldn’t say Leighton Buzzard is known for its restaurants but Ephesus is just a nice place to be with really well made good tasking Turkish cuisine. I have been twice once with family and once with my other half and on both occasions have not been disappointed with the food. The customer service isn’t fine dining or anything but if you fancy something different to the pubs and chain restaurants in the area definitely give it a try. Suitable for families of any size, couples or parties.

Food is good but our overall experience was shambolic from start to finish ! Such a shame . We actually felt sorry for the staff , the management is clearly setting them up to lose :(

Excellent accueil et nourriture de qualité. Nous avons gouté les spécialités culinaires turques accompagnés des vins du pays tout cela bien conseillés par la serveuse, un vrai régal !Le personnel fait le maximum pour vous donner satisfaction, bref nous reviendrons à ce restaurant avec plaisir.

Brilliant service, lovely manager and waitress and the food was delicious! Lovely experience!We had the hummus and the bread which was great to start and the mains were just as yummy, definitely recommend this restaurant!

Had a lovely evening, with exceptional service and gorgeous food! We had a wonderful waiter ilkem who couldn’t have been more attentive and helped with a birthday song! The atmosphere is wonderful and the food is a much better standard than others on the High Street

Saturday night visit for 4 of us hadn’t booked but we were made instantly welcome, service with smiles from each staff that waited on us, quickly served, good food - the bread is amazing good beer - a good night out👍😊

Fantastic restaurant. Excellent service, food and atmosphere. The food has a contemporary twist on Turkish classics. My new favourite restaurant in LB.

Very nice welcome ,the waiter was very atentive and polite ,not being a big fan of Turkish food was looking forward to trying the food.The menu had a good choice and the food was freshly cooked and even though it is not my chosen cuisine l enjoyed my meal,one tip l would give is try to sit away from the front of the restaraunt as when the door opens their is a cold draft.Overall it was very plesant and value for money.

Didnt really have high expectations for my first time as the restaurant has fairly recently opened but honestly even if you did the restaurant would still impress you with its delicious food and superb bread.

Not a great experience. 6 of us celebrating a friends birthday. loads of issues. Wrong starter for member of the group, my lambs liver was luke warm. But the main courses is where it all went wrong. one dish came out 10 minutes later, all came out on freezing cold plates, sent mine back as it was so cold. Dishes were meant to come with rice - these were missing so had to ask for this. My wife ordered scallops - they were cold - not great for shellfish. On the plus side, the bread was superb, the waitress and especially the restaurant manager were very professional. trying to sort things out - if not the score would have been 1/5. It was in the kitchen where it all fell over. Was told that the kitchen staff had walked out - ultimately though - this is not my problem. Simple - serve the food hot, all together and complete

This restaurant has had a name change , it wasn’t great when the original restaurant opened so I haven’t been in here for awhile , during the summer we went out drinking in the gin bar next door but we hadn’t eaten so I thought it was worth another go , we hadn’t booked and it was a Saturday evening and we walked in and was seated straight away , The decor is Pleasant and you don’t really feel like you’re in Leighton buzzard , we only ordered a main course and a bottle of wine , The waitress was really friendly and she then bought Us some lovely dips and home-made bread which we ate while we were waiting for our mains , the main course arrived really quickly and again we could not fault it , lovely cooked meats with a lovely fresh salad and rice , just what you would expect in a Turkish restaurant . When we asked for the bill the waitress bought complimentary deserts , this restaurant ticks all the boxes , you could make it a romantic evening or you could just pop in like we did and have a quick meal.

We had an excellent time last night, enjoying the amazing fresh bread and dips before having the tastiest, beautifully cooked food with wonderful and friendly service throughout our meal. It won’t be long before we eat there again.
