Nice location in the countryside overlooking Scone and Perthshire hills. Plenty of parking and if weather nice there are tables outside to sit. Eolas itself is through Murrayshall with a lovely view outside. A long restaurant with a number of dining tables reasonably spread out. There were 4 servers active when we were there. So we were well looked after, served promptly with drinks, orders taken and after a short wait the starters arrived. The food was very good, we had 3 courses and we were full at the end. We had a voucher and coffee was included, although originally the bill included them, but it was quickly sorted out. We enjoyed the experience and will return for hogmanay.

This is our 4th visit to this restaurant in the past two years. Yet again we cannot fault it. It was a quiet night, but every time we have been served so well as if we were the only people in the restaurant. We visited for my husbands birthday and the whole party had steak- it was melt in the mouth, cooked to perfection and as we had asked (medium-well). The service was excellent and friendly, the atmosphere class and relaxing. He desserts were delicious- I had a set custard with rhubarb which was so nice. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back and would recommend to anyone. Thank you!

This was supposed to be a birthday treat but it was so so disappointing. The tasting menu was terrible and only one of three servers took our feedback seriously. The manager at checkout the next day was completely uninterested. They literally don’t care if you have a good experience or not. First, the venue was so cold, we both had to retrieve jumpers from our room. Second we ordered a bottle of wine with our tasting menu. No drinks arrived with our first course which was a bad sign. When we asked, we were told “it was still in the freezer chilling”. If you don’t have a cold bottle of white, tell me to order something else. Or offer a complimentary glass of something else to have during our first course. If you offer fine dining, you need to communicate when something isn’t up to fine dining standards - don’t shy away from admitting you don’t have a chiller bottle of wine. The tasting menu itself was completely uninspiring. The first course was cold. More than cold - the centre was what I would call frozen. We mentioned this to the waiter. He told us it’s supposed to be that way. It was terrible cold. And the waiter did nothing to take our feedback to the kitchen. The soup course was okay. The third course was again disappointing. My husband pointed out his disappointment to a different waiter - he didn’t care either. The scallop course was cooked appropriately (which can be hard to do) but the bouillabaisse was again uninspiring. And it wasn’t hot. I believe we mentioned this to the third waiter of the evening. The main course was the worst. It was so cold, we said we couldn’t eat it. At was at this point we were informed that the head chef was looking after a different tasting menu and the sous chef was preparing the tasting menu in the restaurant. They simply stent up for the task. Or the menu is truly uninspiring. The chef came out and apologised. We offered to quit the menu as the experience was ruined and I didn’t want to celebrate my birthday after such a disappointing meal. The chef insisted they try again. A new hot meal was brought out. But as to earlier points - the menu wasn’t up to a tasting menu standard. The team had the audacity to offer to comp the service gratuity and our sparkling water the next morning. That goes to show how little they care about customers having a good experience. We certainly didn’t expect anything for free, but there was no acknowledgement of the errors carried out by the waiters or the kitchen staff. Really poor experience. Don’t bother with the tasting menu.

Regrettably, the explicit dietary directive regarding the abstention from pork was overlooked, resulting in the delivery of a dish encased in ham. The discrepancy between ham and pork was evidently misconstrued by the server, leading to a disheartening experience. This subpar service is notably disconcerting, especially considering the esteemed nature of the fine dining establishment.

We have stayed at Murrayshall a couple of times and both times we ate at Eòlas. They have the most delicious food, the wine pairing was fab and all explained by a very helpful waiter. We would highly recommend 😊

Very poor standard of food, certainly no where near 2 rosettes, went for scallop starter which with a £8 supplement making the dish appropriately £20 for a starter, I have no problem with the cost but for 2 tiny over cooked scallops and a tiny piece of pig cheek, sorry not good enough. Main course ok but not really setting the world a light , monkfish a little too salty for me personally, dessert rhubarb crumble souffle, souffle lovely and ice-cream nice, unfortunately cold lumpy custard just not good enough , restaurant very nice decor, waiter's very professional and pleasant,

We visited the restaurant during our stay at the Murrayshall hotel. We were the only guests. We decided to take the tasting menu and my husband went for the wine pairing. Overall the food was okay/good, but definitely not great or special. The bread slices we got were dry and definitely not fresh. The temperature of the sauces for some of the courses was way too cold. The restaurant’s interior design is very nice and the view is also good. The worst part and actually only worth 1 star was the service. As mentioned, we were the only guests, but still our waiter didn’t pay us much attention. He did not seem like a well trained waiter. He didn’t provide any explanation on the dishes or wines, didn’t fill our water glasses, didn’t ask how it was during eating, when placing the plate on the table spilled sauce on my dress, forgot the new cutlery twice, pairing wines didn’t arrive in time. In general he was a nice and friendly guy, but seemed to be overwhelmed. I read some articles about the re-opening and re-branding of the restaurant and how it claims to offer an exclusive dining experience. Unfortunately we didn’t have this experience with okay food and horrible service.

I'm so disappointed with this place - after hearing about this place online with the amount of hype it got.I travelled a good hour to get to it - I will not be back in a hurry. Do not waste your time if you are gluten free - rice has no taste and chips are not Chinese chips, more chippy chips, weird combo.
