I ordered ye tsom beyaynety (~£10), which is a vegetarian mixed dish, and a coffee. Came with a huge injera, as do most of the dishes. There are loads of great vegetarian/vegan platters so I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone with such dietary restrictions. Staff is friendly, clientele was pretty much all Eritrean/Ethiopian so it's pretty good.

The food was lovely but the service could have been better. My partner grew up eating Ethiopian food so this was a little treat for him. The food was phenomenal and wow is there a lot of it! I must say however we were literally the only people in the restaurant and the gentleman attending to us was not very observant or attentive. Mostly on his phone the whole time - which for the most part we didn’t mind as we were enjoying our own conversation but it did make very difficult to get his attention if we wanted to order anything else. Other than that it was a lovely experience and we would come again.

The most delicious Ethiopian food in London. I have been struggling with finding the authentic Ethiopian flavour and Enset delivers it.

Food wasn’t great and he overcharged us. Said we had to pay for drinks per head, yet no alcohol was served and most had tap water. Was charging double the price of mini cartons of ribena and mango juice, even though it had 65p on the printed carton. Cooked with a whole egg and some are diary intolerant. Charged for people who popped in to say happy birthday. Then demanded another £73, even though he miscalculated who had paid. Only gave me a receipt when I demanded it.

Had a great evening here with good quality Ethiopian food and Ethiopian beer and wine. It’s a small restaurant nicely decked out in a traditional theme. Chillie S’NIgh to start: Green Chillis stuffed with onion slices and fresh tomatoes dressed in olive oil and served with Inerja. A nice simple fresh starter. The chillies are quite mild so it’s not that firecracker the name may suggest. Feseg Beyaynetu for main which was a combination of cubed chicken, Lamb and beef seasoned with fresh herbs and spinach served on Inerja. The three meats were all flavoursome and each with a very different taste, with one thing in common / they were all delicious. The Ethiopian beer was good and the biggest surprise a red wine from Ethiopia. It’s says medium sweet which would put many people off. But it’s not too sweet and worked with the spicy food. (Check out Castel website for an informative read on how this French company started the winery). The owner is urbane and informative and made this a hugely enjoyable evening.

Really enjoyed our visit at Enset last night. The food was flavourful and delicious. We had a lovely conversation with the owner about Ethiopia, it’s history and food. We’ll be back.

Sadly, this restaurant seems to have closed; it used to be our favourite rendezvous for a meal before a gig at the Academy, but I've now tried visiting twice over the past three months and both times
