We wanted to find somewhere new and were extremely pleased with our visit. All the staff were attentive and very friendly, even making the effort to warn me that my car window was open during a torrential downpour!! Coffee and tea were lovely and our sandwiches were fresh and tasty. We will definitely return for a full meal. Really lovely place to eat, can't beat friendly service.

My Wife and i have visited this Garden Centre and Cafe on several occasions now, and have never been disappointed with the Cafe food or the small garden centre. It is situated next to the RSPCA for those who are without a sat nav. The garden centre has a small selection of outdoor plants and some items of interest for the home and garden. The staff are really helpful and provide advice on a range of issues. The cafe/Restaurant staff also run Craft workshops at various times. The food is served nicely and the kitchen and dining areas are very clean and tidy, as indeed are the toilets which are accessible to disabled people. The menu of a Sunday has breakfast available till 11-30am, followed by Sunday lunch from 12 noon till 3-30pm. We understand that other activities are planned and we will certainly continue to visit this delightful garden centre and Cafe'. We highly recommend this Garden Centre and Cafe.

We aways get our chinese from Tucker on Ferry. I am yet to find another chinese takeaway that offers such delicious and fresh chinese. My family has never been disappointed, and it is not uncommon for us to spend $200 there (we are a big family!) It's not just their chinese either. Their burgers are delicious and a really good price, as is their fish and chips. Chinese takeaway is usually an expensive treat for us, and we cannot afford to buy it and for it to not be nice. There is never a chance of this happening with food from Tucker on Ferry. I cannot recommend this place highly enough, and the owner is a lovely man as well.

Coming from Grange-over-Sands on a Sunday to this place was quite the struggle, but it was certainly worth it - but this is not a review for the English public transport schedule but for Moor Hall. I went for the big menu, which started with lots of lovely snacks in the beautiful lounge. For the actual menu, one is lead, after a short kitchen tour and presentation of todays produce, to the main dining room. Food was overall lovely - insane level of quality on the ingredients: my favourite were the prawns with raspberry, the aged beef and the guinea hen (with out-of-this-world asparagus!). Service was stellar, with them also accomodating my requests to charge my phone and getting a half-pour of sweet wine. Due to the lack of public transport, I had to stay for a while longer, but I could enjoy a nice cigar out in the heated smoker's lounge. My only ‚criticism‘ of the entire experience: while I did like the theatrics that obviously come with such a dinner (especially the little kitchen tour, the changing from bar to main dining hall, the presentation of the produce and main course), I feel like they were sometimes a little overboard (dry ice, and some sharp, crystallized sugar leaves). This is just a small personal preference of mine though. Let some sugar leaves not deter you from visiting this gem of a restaurant. ;) Big recommendation!

Incredibly excellent. Went for dinner here in March 2025. I’m local to the area and went for a run at 7am-ish. The head chef was in the window, grafting. Had the meal at 7:30pm, head chef is there, grafting. I don’t eat veg normally but the food was just incredible- somehow even made the veg taste lovely :). The service was brilliant as well. My wife asked a question about what a “forced rhubarb” was and the head chef answered it for us- can tell they are so passionate about their craft. The place is spot on but relaxed and not stuffy eg can order a pint. Proud to be a local and see that other diners were eg French and had travelled to the area to experience it. Thanks for an amazing evening guys.

Absolutely fabulous. We popped in on a Sunday morning and ordered the mushrooms on toast and a benny stack… everything was super delicious and perfectly cooked. Lovely to see places make homemade hollandaise too!! Definitely returning 😊
