Absolutely shocking chinese tonight salt and pepper chips were hard nothing in the middle. The chicken wings were burnt. That's the worse we have ever had.

Emerald Chinese on Loushers Lane waited a lot longer than they told us so added 2 free cans of drink. They then got our order wrong. My partner called up and the girl admitted it was her mistake and said the correct dish would be sent free of charge. She came back and said sorry the manager said no you have to pay the difference, fair enough, they also want the fried rice back. Correct dish just delivered, more money than they said over the phone , took the 2 free drinks back as well as the wrong dish they sent and didn't give my partner his change !!!

Been using Emerald for nearly 15 years. Always excellent food and consistent flavours as we tend to have the same dishes. Just used an alternative due to corona virus. Fine, but just not as good. We will alway be Emerald!

I have had salt and pepper chicken an chips, and chicken fried rice with gravy all of which being absolutely delicious! I have only rated it a 4 star as I feel as though I haven’t tried enough of their other more varied food to give an accurate review. However that is my usual order and it is the best salt and pepper chips and chicken I’ve ever had ! Never want to get it from anywhere else

Nice takeaway last night, very tasty and plenty of it. Lemon chicken very good. Hot and fresh, will go again.

Collected a take away from here tonight. We have been regular customers for over 20 years until this evening. When we got home and started to eat our meal we realised that instead of the chicken hot and sour that we had ordered we had been given sweet and sour.(which we don't like and it tasted extremely sweet and sickly) We phoned up and were eventually asked if we could call back to collect the correct meal. After originally declining as extremely inconvenient we were offered 10% off our next meal. As neither of us liked the sweet and sour and we had paid full price for the meal we actually ordered- we changed our minds and decided to go back out and collect the original item. Imagine our surprise when we were informed that we needed to take the incorrect meal back! To add further insult to injury, when we did call in they commented on how the incorrect meal looked like it had been partially eaten!!!! Both meals looked very similar and we had eaten a spoonful before realising THEIR error. I do not want to think about what they are going to do with the second hand sweet and sour that they demanded back-Be warned! We will not be ordering from here again.

We live on the other side of the town and will only ever travel to get there satay extra hot its absolutely amazing, Nothing in warrington touches it. We don't go that often but when we do its a delight on the taste buds seriously recommended

used to really like this place but recently seems lacking, would prefer smaller portions if it meant better quality like it used to be

Staff often know who you are by your telephone number which is a nice touch. Good quality food, usually free prawn crackers, always get delivery with in the hour and never been wrong. The starters are generous in quantity and really tasty and the main meals are also generous portions and good quality. We use these regular and would highly recommend

Utterly awful! We rang up and said we would collect, there was a half an hour wait for us to collect it, the guy on the phone was rude and uninterested. We ordered a "hot platter" appetiser which didn't taste of anything and some noodles which were cold. The spring rolls tasted like bad breath . The only nice thing was the salt and pepper ribs. I am vexed

One night the food is fab, the next time dreadful. For some reason the food has lost consistency of taste, maybe 2 different chefs, cooking 2 different ways. I don't know but it not good, we will give it one more try and if no good we will go to the Jin Tao or the Dragon City

I ordered a takeaway from here and my order was taken by a girl named Laura. She was absolutely fantastic on the phone and extremely professional (wasted in a take away may I add) It's nice to have someone so friendly on the phone :-) Food again was delicious as always! The only Chinese take away we use in Warrington!

The Emerald was one of the best Chinese takeaways in Warrington, rated highly not only by the customers but the local health inspectors as well. 2014 hasn't been a good year for them and tonight we hit rockbottom. I ordered a chicken chow mein, one portion of prawn dumplings and an extra portion of soft noodles. So the dumplings were hard and flourery. The noodles in both the chow mein and the extra portion were old and cut into one inch lengths, bit strange and makes you wonder where they came from? I notice they make up large amounts of noodles and store them in a warming cabinet. This ensures that the product is never fresh. The sauce was full of gravy mix granules and undercooked vegetables. This isn't the first time the food has been of a poor quality, but every time we give them another "chance" it is a continuos downward trend of low quality food which is a shame. I hope they get their mojo back but I won't be buying again anytime soon.
