Ellesworth Kitchen Skipton in Mendip

The food is absolutely delicious here and Elsworth Kitchen has now become a regular place I visit when taking my father out for afternoon lunch. The service and atmosphere is excellent and the young waitress who has serviced us the last few times including today 12th of Aug needs recognising (didn’t catch her name sadly). She is attentive, professional and always a pleasure to have a conversation with. Just a shame you don’t open Sunday too!

Great food and nicely presented. There is a good selection of tasty food on the lunch menu which also caters well for vegetarians & vegans as well as omnivores. The size of the dishes was fair to generous and for the price was very good value. The Spartan decor is bright, clean & pleasant without being uncomfortable and there are plenty of interesting features including prints & photographs of skipton & Yorkshire. Children are also welcome & well catered for. Overall a very pleasant lunch experience with good service from the attentive staff. My only concern was the relatively loud background music. I’ve never understood the need for background music in cafes, restaurants & pubs. It’s very unlikely that everyone present will like & enjoy what comes over the speakers, especially if it’s loud enough to interfere with conversation.

Dropped in for a light lunch. I had the Pulled pork and apple wrap with crackling and chips on the side. The staff are first class!!! Really enjoyed it!!!

Fabulous Birthday Meal/Celebration for Hubby. Everything was amazing!!! There were 23 of us and every single person was impressed. Nice bright clean airy premises. Staff were helpful and very pleasant. Our lunches were delicious and excellent value for money.

So delighted to find this place. The food is incredible. Our boys had pulled pork wraps, I had the EK salad with haloumi and my husband had the black pudding, beans and ham hock with a bourbon glaze. Absolutely superb and a lunch I know I will crave again for a long time. The price point is also spot on for a delicious family lunch. The service and staff are also a credit to this place. Helpful, smiley, welcoming and rightly proud of their lovely eatery.

I came in for Lunch with my grtandad and we had an amzing meal he was given the choice to change the soup which was amazing as he doesnt like butternut squash... the food was amazing but what stood out was how friendly and helpful our waitress amy was she was amazing and helped create an amazing experience!

We had a superb lunch today, roasted peach salad and a Serrano ham & Harrogate blue cheese salad, with a side of the most delicious dirty fries. All fresh and very very tasty. The young staff who were serving were exemplary. If you haven’t tried you’re missing a treat. We shall be back.

Called in today for 2 crushed avocado's. 1 with bacon and 1 with smoked salmon. Loads of smoked salmon and the eggs were perfect. plus a portion of dirty fries. We have just had a very memorable experience at Elsworth kitchen. This place gets everything right. The welcome was warm and professional. Ours needs were met and anticipated. Both myself and my partner are dairy intolerant and this was easily worked around - nothing was too much trouble. The food was beautiful; quality ingredients that were cooked perfectly with a balance of flavours that complimented each other harmoniously. Rare to have such an experience these days. Compliments to the chef and excellent front of house staff. Seriously, Well done :)

Very nice cafe/restaurant, friendly, helpful staff, great menu - always a warm welcome. I've eaten here regularly over the past few months and it's consistently nice. I am gluten intolerant and quite sensitive- I usually have the "Dirty Fries" side dish but on its own which is fab, I've also tried one of the salads, soup and very nice asparagus dish that I don't think is on the menu now sadly. It's always delicious and I've never had an issues with my gluten allergy/intolerance so I feel it's pretty safe. One of my favourite places to go ❤️
