Have visited this restaurant on many occasions but never ordered it to be delivered. Found it just as good with good sized portions and it arrived hot

Restaurant added on 20 mins then was 30 mins late on top. Not happy.

Delicious, fresh, tasty, spicy but not too strong, rogan josh full of fresh tomatoes, great samosas. Great that you get a choice of accompaniments with the biriyani rather than just getting the regular curry you usually get, so I was able to have my favourite tarka saag daal. Lovely smooth raita. All excellent. Will definitely order from Elachi again.

Visitamos Elachi ya que estamos en la zona. Un hombre en la mesa comenzó a hacer bromas racistas y cuando lo detuve al respecto, salió del restaurante. El mesero me dijo que acababa de perderlo. Expliqué la situación y él estaba muy enojado conmigo. Entonces decidimos irnos. En este punto, solo habíamos pedido comida y aún no ha llegado. Dije que nos íbamos ya que el servicio fue vergonzoso. El camarero dijo que solo si pagamos nuestros platos principales, estaba feliz de pagar las bebidas y los aperitivos ya que los habíamos consumido. ¡Dijo que no y llamó a la policía! Otros clientes vinieron en nuestra defensa y también se marcharon porque no podían creer la ignorancia del camarero y la gerencia. ¡Mantenerse alejado!

Restaurant customer service - diabolical, food was scheduled for 7.30pm after having to phone the restaurant three seperate times (was kept hanging on the phone for over ten minutes for them to eventually return and put the phone down is not ok, the third time I phoned - they just said well just cancel your order then) I had paid upfront so not impressed. Food turned up approx 2 hours after ordering, would not use again.

Very disappointed with the delivery time. Even more disappointed with the quality of food. Tasteless. Popadoms were soft. Chicken pasanda was tasteless. Bombay potatoes were like boiled potatoes with no flavour. Onion baji was a mass of fried something. Not as you would expect. We ate half and binned the rest. If you love INDIAN food then I suggest you look for another vendor as this one is nothing like what it portrays. Very very disappointed

First time trying this place and the food was great, will definitely order again. It arrived early, tasty and hot! My only criticism was the delivery driver knocked on my door after I left a delivery note specifically asking him to call my phone and not knock to avoid waking up my housemates. Had that not happened I would have given them 6 stars!

The vindaloo was wack. Vindaloo its supposed to be spicy. Mine wasn't. It was like chunks of lamb in plain sauce. It tasted mild which was really upsetting for my first time eating "a really spicy dish"

Food came on time but the korma tastes like the stuff you get in a jar from tescos and they just added chicken. Its not sweet or coconut flavoured enough

The food was great. But, the delivery was 15 mins early. We asked that the delivery driver didn't ring the doorbell or it would wake the baby. This was ignored. The baby was woken up. Will order straight from the restaurant next time and pick up myself.

Really decent food. Collection time ended up being 10 minutes late but we had a large order for 2, so I think you've got to give a bit of slack for that. Only gripe was cold samosas. But other than that, ace.

The food was really nice. Just spoke to the restaurant about a mix up with the price charged (delivery driver seemed to say the cost was £19 something when it was £13 something so I ended up giving over £6 as a tip which is not what I would have done) and they were extremely friendly and offered food or a refund of the differencnce. They have agreed to refund me despite this happening a few days ago. Really good of them considering I should have checked!

Took over two hours for delivery. Was promised 50% discount on next order when spoke to restaurant after 1 hour 30 minute wait, no discount voucher or anything else with order when delivered. Food is pretty good, rest is not.

Not bad, menu is a little confusing so ended up ordering something wrong but was still pretty good. Sag aloo wasn't very nice though..

Garlic chillie lamb dish was very tasty lots of tender pieces of lamb. lamb chop starter was excellent too really happy with the quality of the lamb and ingredients used.

Left a message for the restaurant in the comments section asking for mint sauce but was ignored, popadom was burnt and clearly re-cooked as it was an old one. Very disappointed with the service

The "Grill Combine" was really bad the vegetables were burn and had a strange taste :-( Saag daal and the chicken were okay

Este es un restaurante al que siempre vuelven cuando vuelvo de visita de los padres. Tiene un ambiente tan relajado y agradable personal. La comida siempre ha sido genial también. Cada vez que voy me intenta conseguir algo diferente y estoy aún a decepcionar. La comida es un precio razonable también.

the rice was nice but the curries and potatoes had no taste to them what so ever tasted of water not happy at all it was my wife's birthday and she fancied a curry

The lamb was cooked to perfection very flavoursome and succulent. The spice was perfect with juicy lamb. I'm not really a big fan of Indian cuisine but they hit the spot will definitely be ordering again, on the plus side food came ten minutes early.

The rogan josh was the worst I've ever tasted, very little lamb and what there was was tough. Sauce tasted of nothing other than it was hot. Garlick prawns should have read 'prawn' as there was only one!!!

No puede evitar tener heladas botellas de Cobra en la misma bolsa como comida caliente - la comida fresca, más que por el calentamiento Cobra.El sabor de la comida era buena, pero estábamos desesperados por el tiempo en que llegamos.Decepcionante por lo que normalmente es un restaurante bastante bueno.

Best curry EVER!!!!! Its such a shame Elachi doesn't do a Sunday buffet for a couple of hours like most places in Duliwich as there is no competition in this area for Elachi. Forest Hill is very much an up and coming area and with the Railway Telegraph nest door it makes for a good Sunday out!

Not good at all! Food ordered for 11.30pm delivery. When it arrived at 10.15, I explained that my housemate shouldn't wouldn't be home until 11.30, and as I had specifically asked for that delivery slot, I wasn't prepared for the food to sit out for over an hour before re-heating. The man handed me the food and said he would come back at 11.30pm. I thought with a fresh meal, as was asked for. He arrived back at 11.30, took the bag off me and went to get into his car. When I said I was expecting a replacement meal, he laughed and said that no, his offering had been the bag to keep the food warm for the hour before my housemate got home. Said I wasn't happy. He said there was nothing he could do, as the restaurant is now closed. He finally offered a 50% discount on a future meal, but that he couldn't promise this as he would have to speak to others about it. He was also reluctant to give us the receipt attached to the order as he said it wasn't 'necessary'. Real shame, because the food is delicious. But with service like that, I don't think I'll be re-ordering.

Seis de nosotros asistimos para cumpleaños de un amigo, ya bastante a menudo. Cálida acogida y rápido con poppadoms encantadores. Buena comida, que debe ser fresco ya que se tarda una hora en llegar, pero es muy sabrosa, con porciones generosas (y que podemos comer mucho! ), y con una mezcla de cocina tradicional y 'chef' opciones especiales.Mientras esté en poca distancia de nuestra casa, así como un número de otras opciones, pero seguimos regresando. Estaremos encantados de recomendarle. (También para llevar y entrega).

The meals arrived an hour early so there was no one at our hose,my wife telephoned Elachi at the correct delivery time which was 8.20pm and was told the docket or order wasn't read property'swhen the delivery eventually arrived the food dishes were not the ones we ordered. Seriously disappointing and inept service, how to lose business!

I've never had a bad meal from here in over 15 years. I love the Harry Mirchi Chicken dish. My only wish I could have is if they could only open earlier or maybe midday on a Saturday/Sunday. It can be a bit late for me to have such a spicy dish. Lovely people.... great service.

Mi esposa y yo hemos vivido la vuelta de la esquina desde aquí durante 14 años (6 juntos y antes de eso he vivido con mi mejor amigo indio) y me han calculado que he comido en el Elachi más de 200 veces, así que pensé que tenía mejor post una revisión. El Elachi es una joya desconocida para la mayoría como otras casas locales de curry tienen un perfil más alto y está situado en la bulliciosa South Circular, lo que significa que es a menudo tranquilo. El curry aquí es realmente buena calidad y carne es suculentos y empapados en especias aromáticas, con servicio auténtico y atractivo. Los camareros aquí son tan acogedores y serviciales, y el servicio es siempre con una sonrisa. Will never order again. Ordered here because they offer free bottle of wine (via Just-Eat page: FREE House Wine on orders over £25), pushed our order up to £28 to get the wine. Delivery man arrived with no wine and said that wine was only for CASH ORDERS. Serious false advertising. We should´ve stuck with Panas Gurkha - great service, friendly guys and fabulous food. Never again Elachi!

This was my favourite local until the curry quality went down. Tried four times again ti rekindle this rekationship but ended up each time returning food. Meat became tough and chewy, sundries poorly prepped and surroundings in poor state- leaking ceiling!

This is the best restaurant for curry I have found (after extensive research) in this area of London. I've been there many times and the food is always of high quality. As well as the usual Jalfrezi, Madras, Vindaloo etc - all very good - the chef cooks his own individual and distinctive dishes - Chicken Radoni and Lamb Jardaloo, for example, are both superb. Vegetables are fresh and not overcooked and the spices do not mask the flavour. Prices are reasonable and the service is excellent.

Have visited this restaurant several times but tend to go for the Sunday Buffet which is reasonably priced. The food is good and a far choice of ite,s are on offer to suit most paletes. ENJOY!!

There are so many Indian restaurants in the area it has taken quite some time to get round to this place. I have had several take aways and have visited twice. Everytime the food is good quality and well cooked. It's one of the few restaurants I would recommend. The Shahi Murgh Masala is to die for.

A follow up from my last review... Though I cannot vouch for their prawn dishes (having never ordered one) I have found their chickens dishes very good - especially the tikka massala and korai. Still, it seems that one does need to pay for poppadoms and I´d disregard any promotion that they claim to have because these simply don´t seem to apply. If you can pay the extra then I certainly recommend Elachi regardless.

Dreadful king prawn massala runny sweet sauce and strange yellowy colour not worth the money and I will not order from this place again.

Very good Indian restaurant (brasserie, as it calls itself), a cut above your average curry house. Imaginative menu, better than the other local posh Indian.
