WOW! What a great surprise. I always stay in this neighborhood for a couple nights before leaving the UK to head back to the States. Because of their sign, I just thought Eileen's was an ice cream place, but I wandered by on November 12th and saw people walking out with coffees, so I went inside. I ordered poached eggs with avocado on toast and it was FABULOUS! What a lovely breakfast I had by the river.

What a gem of a find in Richmond.A beautiful setting for a cafe run by a hospitable family. Eileen was a delight! Absolutely delicious grilled goats cheese salad and rhubarb tart with cappuccino all at a very reasonable price. A great place to sit in the sun, listening to the birds and eating delicious food!

Very friendly staff and delicious Toastie. Dogs allowed which is important. The problem was it was a complete mess in the kitchen. To be honest it didn’t seem very clean. No clear space to prepare food. Toilets also a mess.

Great spot to stop for lunch or a coffee. Two lovely ladies and a younger guy behind the counter,so friendly and welcoming, they made me an omelette even tho was not on the menu. We also enjoyed meeting the dog Pedro that was playing around with his friendly owner. We will definetely stop here again, what a gem!

My wife and myself were walking along the Thames from Richmond and after some 10-15 minutes came across Eileen’s Cafe just before Petersham Meadows. At first glance it is not a very attractive property (former Public Convenience that opened as a Cafe just before the onset of COVID) but on entering you receive a warm welcome from the couple who run the place and an array of delicious homemade cakes. We certainly enjoyed our Apple & Hazelnut and Apple Strudel (with cream) which we’re both washed down by excellent Illy Coffees. It was a most enjoyable experience - one I would gladly recommend to others as they will be both surprised and certainly not disappointed!

These guys cater for all allergies and requests. Incredible bakers of delicious cakes and fast as well. We've been fans for a while and hope to use them next weekend for a bank holiday party.

By far the best coffee in the area. All of the food is amazing and the prices are fair too.

Sadly a disappointing experience having not been here for a few years. I remember a well priced good quality cafe. Nostalgia is a wicked liar! Popped in for a couple of takeaway baguettes and it was all a bit disorganised. We waited a while before our order was taken of a bacon baguette and a cheese salad baguette. We asked what type of baguette it was and were told it was a French stick type. It wasn’t and was more of a ciabatta type bread and a very small one at that. A dusty one to boot. The two baguettes and a tea in the smallest cup in the world came to over £17. A tea about the size of my small finger. Hot water must be getting expensive! After a few deep breaths we paid the money given our order was in process. The baguettes were very disappointing for the price, with a a small amount of bacon in one and a single slice of cheese in the other, although the salad quantity was passable. For the money I’d expect everything to be plentiful and exceptional, but it was a bit of a rip off I’m afraid. Paying £7-8 for a baguette is pretty mad stuff and not something I’ve ever experienced in the area or even in central London. I’ve been too many places in the course of recent history central or in the vicinity. They seemed to be struggling with table service too and people were coming to the counter to order following long waits meaning they overtook us waiting at the counter. Some would say style over substance, but the substance was really lacking. The style didn’t count for much if that was the bargaining token of choice. Worse still is we were still hungry after the minuscule portions and turns out there was the Twickenham Cafe a few doors down. The food was half the price and double the portion/quality. Needless to say that will be choice in future. I feel pretty disingenuous to direct people elsewhere but in this circumstance I feel it is necessary. Update from the hospital: My wallet is still recovering from open heart surgery but doctors say there is some hope. I’m happy to find a defibrillator in my will if I don’t make it. Here’s hoping!

I recently visited Robin in Richmond and absolutely loved it! The coffee was excellent, the staff were really friendly, and the whole place had a warm, welcoming atmosphere. It’s the kind of café where you can relax, enjoy great quality drinks, and feel at home. A lovely spot that definitely adds charm to the area — I’ll be back soon!
