Efes Premium in Merton

We were looking forward to our visit as I booked it for our Xmas do. I don’t like coming on here to just give a negative review but have to as I’m really disappointed. Service was below average. Prices were way too expensive. I’ve been to lots of Turkish restaurants this year and this one is like no other with their menu. Over complicated My beef was covered in tomato sauce and half a plate of yoghurt. No chips no bulgar wheat no rice. What are you to do with a half plate of sauce and yoghurt. They have a lot to learn. Also mixers are extortionate and asked for more bread as 4 small pieces didn’t go far. Got 4 more pieces and noticed we were charged nearly £4 for it. Sorry I won’t be returning.

Mi primera vez al Efes y no me decepcionó. Fui con algunos colegas de negocios y tuvimos una noche muy agradable. El ambiente era cálido y acogedor y eso fue en una noche lluviosa! La comida era fresca, delicioso estilo turco y el personal era amable. El mejor momento fue el Baklava de chocolate!

Normalmente no escribo reseñas, pero pensé que tenía que hacerlo con mi experiencia en Efes Wimbledon. El personal era muy amable e hizo un trabajo fantástico para lidiar con las alergias alimentarias de mi amigo. La comida era deliciosa, es fácilmente mis restaurantes favoritos en Londres. ¡Gracias!

Tuvimos una noche fantástica en Efes Premium para un cumpleaños familiar. La comida era deliciosa y el servicio era excepcional. Es un ambiente relajado y había música en vivo, saxofonista tocando. Muy buena relación calidad-precio y sin duda volveremos

Incluso el pudín de arroz frío Suclik como se muestra es delicioso, tan contento de principio a fin. Té de menta servido en olla con taza y platillo, una delicia como en una taza de experiencia gastronómica diferente estaba en un plato (mi Tooting Broadway Disaster)

Better than other Turkish restaurants locally, the setting is lovely and stylish. The starters we had were amazing, we felt we had chosen the wrong mains, although nice we thought they would wow us. The complimentary bread to start was amazing and is made in house, we took home what was left, too good to send back. I would recommend and would return, maybe even have a selection of starters

This was my first visit to Efes Premium and though rather expensive I enjoyed our evening, the food and general ambiance of the restaurant. The food quality is very good, with meats tender and very well marinated. The hot and cold Meze's are also highly recommended especially the Sigara Borek, Lahmacun and Icli Kofte. The prices are rather high but for special occasions a visit is highly recommended.

Delicious food, beautiful restaurant and atmosphere. Ayten and staff excellent service. Baklava and ice cream particularly yummy!!

Amazing authentic Turkish experience! My wife and I having just been to the airport Wimbledon men’s final wanted somewhere to unwind (without the football on given it was the euro final) we stumbled upon Efes - about 3 minutes walk from Wimbledon station! We absolutely love all things Mediterranean so this was right up our street! We were served my Efe who was so lovely and friendly and happy to give recommendations! Ayten and Murat were also fantastic hosts! We enjoyed Turkish Delight, Olives and Baklava here tonight, we’ve enjoyed it so much we are coming back tomorrow for dinner before we fly back to Ireland! Amazing team with Efe Murat and Ayten thank you guys ❤️

The appetizers, beyti kebab, meat and especially Lahmacun were very good. The desserts were absolutely perfect, please definitely try the mussel baklava. It was the most beautiful restaurant where I celebrated my birthday. Everyone took very good care of it. You can choose this restaurant for your celebrations, meetings and invitations. And be sure to try their alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails. Everything was perfect thank you.

By far the best Turkish restaurant I've ever been to, thanks to its charming decor, the warm hospitality of the staff, and the delicious taste of the food. We experineced the few hours Turkey I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant without any hesitation.

I was visiting the area and staying at the Travelodge next door and decided on this beautiful restaurant I was lucky to get a table as the restaurant had a constant flow of customers the food was excellent I had the slow cooked beef which was very tender and tasty the service was fantastic and attentive I'm glad I chose this restaurant I'll definitely return if I'm in the area again

Last week, I had an amazing time at this restaurant with my gf and friends! The kebabs were incredible, cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. And the cocktails? Absolutely divine! The cozy ambiance and friendly staff made the experience even better. Can't wait to go back for more! Highly highly recommend it!😊thank you Efes Premium for such a lovely day🤘

Amazing food! Best Turkish restaurant I've ever been to in London. And such a beautiful open building with gorgeous chandeliers and lighting. Definitely recommend. great for large or small groups.

Small portions and service was very poor most of the servers didn’t know what to do and were looking for advise from others showing a lack of training. Also a couple of servers didn’t know what they were serving so when they came over with the food they looked lost not knowing the food. Servers also brought the mains out when we were still eating our starters 🫣 Lovely grub though George 👌

Utterly brilliant. Great atmosphere - peaceful and chilled at lunchtime. Warm welcome and attentive service throughout lunch , nothing too much trouble. The food ( from the special lunch menu) was superb and great value. Can’t praise it highly enough. Would definitely go back next time I’m in the area.

What a fabulous addition to Wimbledon. Visited with friends at the end of December for a very long lunch with three friends. Food was fab, cocktails exceptional and staff were brilliant, especially Derya and Onur, but to be honest, all the staff were really good. Loved it so much that we have picked it to celebrate a special January birthday and really looking forward to my second visit!

I booked this restaurant after looking on the intranet for a local restaurant for 14 Nurses, as a post-Christmas celebration. I pre-booked the restaurant and then agreed to meet the manager, Mark, who showed me around. He explained that they had only been open for 8 weeks. Well, the restaurant did not disappoint. There was a long table which seated our 14 nursing team, upstairs as promised. Because of the volume of people I had pre-ordered hot and cold meze and pide breads. The meze was lovely, the borec was delicious, and it absolutely melted and was so light. The falafel was also so light and delicious. We ordered meat platters to follow the meze. The meat in the platters was so delicately spiced and so tender. They were also delicious. Everyone in my party was absolutely delighted with the food and the restaurant and the service. Was a great night and I will most definitely return.

My husband and I came for Christmas dinner. It was the most wonderful experience. The restaurant is beautiful. The staff are delightful. And the food was outstanding! This is a special very special restaurant and we will be back.

Very nice interior and seating. Average food. Good mezze but a bit overpriced. Very average mains and unlike most Turkish places portions are small. Mixed grill for 3 at £58 is overpriced and good for 2. Efes has a big name and very well renowned from its location in central London. This one at Wimbledon doesn’t do justice to its reputation.

This is the best Turkish Restaurant in town. Finally I found the original taste of Adana Kebap. Everything we ate was so delicious

What a delightful restaurant, the food was hot and delicious, free bread and butter at table, the staff couldn’t have been more helpful, it felt like we were in a five star restaurant. This is definitely one that we will go back to. Everyone of our party of 4 enjoyed everything about this new restaurant in Wimbledon.

We had a Birthday dinner there. The food is very fresh, and of high quality. Service impeccable, ambience warm, yet very elegant..I would rate it as a fine dining place..We had, Iskender, Adana kite, lamb shish, for starters, lahmacun, filo pastry with feta chees, aioli köfte.. they were all delicious and mouthwatering..

On arrival they were unable to find my booking although I had confirmation from them saying they were looking forward to us coming to the restaurant. We then placed our orders for the food. There were 4 of us and only 3 starters arrived along with 2 bowls of chips!! After waiting a few minutes the fourth starter had not arrived. So I asked to speak to the manager. He came over and I said how unhappy we were firstly not being able to find our booking and secondly not having all the starters. He was most apologetic and offered us a complimentary bottle of wine and free desserts. The fourth starter then arrived and it was delicious. The main courses were superb as well as were the desserts. He also kindly removed the service charge from the bill. Despite the hiccups we will definitely go back there. There is a vast selection of wines and cocktails. The ambience of the restaurant is also good. On leaving the restaurant I asked the manager to check our booking, this time we looked the booking up by phone number and sure enough it was there; but the name was wrong!! We then thanked the manager again and said how good the food was. So a good evening was had by all of us. ,

We are fortunate to have great Turkish restaurants opening in South West London. The most recent entry is the Efes Premium in Wimbledon. I can easily categorise Efes Premium as a fine dining restaurant due its beautiful ambiance and first class service. Menu is relatively simple but includes all the major Turkish starters and kebaps. In addition to mixed meze, I recommend oven baked pide and lahmacun as hot starters. Kebaps are all very delicious although Iskender (lamb filet with yogurt) has been my favourite. As desert I had oven baked sutlac (milk and rice pudding) which was as delicious as it was in Istanbul. To summarise, we had great Turkish food in a peaceful and spacious Turkish restaurant.
