Lovely little cafe on the Main Street In Delph. Run by Edna and her partner. Welcoming and friendly books available to read and purchase. I found a rare Star Wars one in there unfortunately I didn’t have any change on me but I was ok to take it away.

I visited this lovely little cafe on a Sunday afternoon in December prior to going to the Milngate theatre. We were a party of 2 adults and 4 children, 5 had hot chocolate with marshmallows and cream and I had a coffee, the lovely couple who run the place couldn’t have been more accommodating of us, they chatted to us all, had lengthy conversations with the kids and they even topped up my coffee because I’d finished first. I can’t wait to go back, it was a proper little treat!

Edna's is a lovely little cafe, tucked behind the craft shop on Delph High Street. Warm welcome awaits you, with fantastic homemade food from bacon butties to full pie/rag pudding meals, at very reasonable prices. Edna makes lovely homemade fare and Geoff is an amazing raconteur. Worth a visit to the much quieter village of Delph than its larger busier neighbouring village of Uppermill.

Old fashioned café located at the back of a gift shop. Very traditional, simple menu. Everything is homemade and it feels like you've gone to see Aunt Edna in her living room and you can see through to a her kitchen! The staff (sisters) were very welcoming and helpful. Prices are reasonable and the food was very good, piping hot and un-fussy, quite literally like homemade. Rag pie with mash and mushy peas stole the show and certainly ticked the boxes for a damp, foggy afternoon. There was a daily newspaper to read. A huge selection of second hand books for sale for charity and the service was swift. It felt like a trip down memory lane and made us smile!

Excellent down-to-earth little cafe with home cooked food and a charming atmosphere, loved it, like life used to be. It is located as part of an equally brilliant old fashioned Co-operative shop selling Arts and Crafts. Follow it up by a walk around Uppermill Village and a ride on the canal boats.

Those were the instructions for if we wanted anything but I think the man's psychic; he knew we wanted to know where the loo was he knew we would want extra butter to go with the bread and (excellent) soup and he knew that we could just do with some tap water to help cool us down. A lovely visit to a household parlour, greeted like some lost friends, perhaps on the chance that we might become new friends. A wonderful little café that exudes warmth and charm and although cheap the food looks and tastes great.

Please note if you like coffee in the guise of a mocha skinny latte macchiato - DO NOT come here! Here Edna and family make proper food, almost all made by themselves and it's absolute quality. Never failed to be impressed and always welcoming all year long and always good to have a chat with 15 miles to go on any bike ride for me. Perfect location and fantastic grub. Puddings with custard are all awesome.

This is the place in Delph for home cooked soups, pies and puddings. Its small so occasionally you have to wait for a table but its worth it. Reasonably priced the homemade soups are a real treat especially on a cold day or try a coffee and fruit crumble or custard pie. All very good traditional food.

The home made food was very good, the staff and regulars were most welcoming. By the time we left we felt as though we had just visited some friends.

Set behind a craft shop in the picturesque village of Delph. It is quite cramped for space if it is busy. The food is freshly cooked and excellent. Well worth a visit.

Visit Edna's Cosy Cafe if you are in the area and like traditional home cooked food, We regularly order the Welsh Rarebit for a light bite. The cooked meals are lovely too and the puddings and flapjacks are amazing. To add to the joy of this place there are books on sale for charity which mean you can browse and find something special to take home. I would recommend it to anyone who likes good, home cooked simple food or a pleasant morning or afternoon break. Finish off by browsing the community co-operative craft shop for unusual gifts and works of art

Popped in for lunch with my autistic son who is a VERY fussy eater. He had a sausage sandwich which was 'best in the world!' for me, the best thing was the excellent range of my very favourite puds - bread &butter, egg custard tart, blackberry pie AND a fruit crumble! Spoiled for choice. We all enjoyed our lunch very much, clean plates all round. They take cash cards, parking nearby, craft shop. Well worth a visit

Edna makes most of her own food in this small cafe, accessed through the artists gallery on the main thoroughfare through Delph village in SaddleworthThere are daily specials of the homely type. The coffee selection is very limitedSo why is this spot above average ?The homemade food is of a good standard, you wont find Brake Brothers parked outside. Its quiet, most people dont know its there and you could very easily drive through the village and miss it altogether. Lucky us.Edna knows the village and gently keeps abreast of local knowledge without excessive gossip, which has its charms regardless off your age or perspective.

A must to visit while around Delph a small village set in the Pennines in Saddleworth. A small Cafe but the home made cakes and selection of snacks are well worth the money. While there visit the art gallery above the cafe and take a look around the small gift shops in the same building.

Discovered the Hidden Garden over a year ago now and it’s one of my favourite places to go. Great coffee (no additional charges for milk alternatives), beautiful views and dog friendly! The little treats they serve your dog are an added bonus (no charge either!) my pooch loves a visit. We have been in all weathers, although most of the seating area is outside there are some wonderful covered nooks to curl up with blankets galore and even a pizza stove burning logs to keep you warm in the winter. The cakes and food are delicious and the additional pop up food stalls they host are brilliant. Highly recommend for a cosy catch up away from the high street bustle.
