The sushi was really fresh, good quality and tasted delicious. I wasn’t a big fan of sushi before I tried it at edamame and I’ve definitely converted. Please give this place a chance if you’re in Oxford, it’s a hidden gem. There are queues sometimes but it’s definitely worth the wait and is maximum 20 mins wait.

Very inventive sushi! I like the restaurant’s ability to take risks, but a lot of them didn’t pay off. Like the minced beef gunkan was actually awful. The natto handroll also had barely any natto in it and tasted like you were eating plain rice. But they did the classics very well and redeemed themselves definitely. All the nigiri in the mixed platter were to die for. Pickled vegetables were also something I’d never tried with sushi before but I highly recommend, a perfect palate cleanser.

It tasted exactly like a Japanese set meal restaurant. I ate the chicken cutlet, and it had a Japanese home-style taste that reminded me of a Japanese set meal restaurant. We had set dates for sushi and dinner, but lunch seemed to be available at any time. Also, it felt like everyone was seated together, so I didn't feel like I was relaxing in a private room. There may be a line up, but I was able to get in easily. I was in luck! ! I would definitely like to visit again when I come to Oxford.

The food was fresh with big portions, the service staff were friendly. Came here for dinner with a friend and both of us ordered the Chicken Katsu with rice. The atmosphere is cosy which is what makes this restaurant unique, although some may not prefer such a cosy space where they will request that you share a table with others. I adore this little Japanese cuisine place!! Highly recommended what I ordered in the photos. I think it is charming when they keep it cozy and small. One to three customers per group have to share a table with other groups unless you come in bigger group. It is first come first served, you may have to wait in a line for awhile during their busy hours, not ideal in the cold but I can say it's worth it. The food is so fresh and also affordable. The miso soup tasted authentic. I quite enjoyed their plum wine as well. Double-check to make sure the server got your order correctly and that it didn't get mix up with other customer's on the same table like what happened to us. Okay so, usually we get extremely good service and food from this place. However this time around, they sent us away with whatever the hell you see below. The regular sized pepperoni were cut into smaller triangles, as opposed to before when they did not do this. Why? What could possibly be the point? Yes it tasted fine, but when I get a pepperoni pizza I want at least some effort with the amount of pepperoni I get on it...

Friendly little shop, the food is better than expected. We ordered dry-fried beef river noodles, beef brisket rice noodles, Xingzhou fried rice and corn chicken rice. The dry-fried beef ho and Xingzhou fried rice are well done, dry enough but not stale. The other two discs are average, but they are better than other Chinese Takeaways in Oxford. The price is okay, not too expensive, usually around 9 pounds for butterfly rice. Parking is available in front of the hotel, which is very convenient.
