EC1 Coffee House in Islington

so some really good stuff, but some not so goo.d croissant with salami and cheese was lovely. coffee was very very good. but, and here is the but - I did not want a takeaway cup and had to really push the point. it does make a difference. and hey - it was a bit cold

Espresso as it’s supposed to be properly heated cup. Good size. (So many make the to big) Great service too.

The best home made chocolate fudge brownie I have ever experienced... By a long way too 😋 Nice cosy feel and lovely chaps to chat to. Definitely will be a regular stop from now on.

Trabajé a la vuelta de la esquina de esta pequeña tienda increíble y lo extraño mucho, siempre fueron amables, charlaron, cuidaron a mi compañera embarazada con bocadillos cuando estaba llorando y tomaron un café increíble. Sin mencionar sus croissants de jamón y queso. . . ¡Dios mío, qué bueno! ! Si alguna vez estás en esa parte de la ciudad, ¡ve a tomar una cerveza y charlar! !

He estado en esta cafetería ya que estoy trabajando cerca de la carretera opuesta. Tienen muy buen café y un servicio amable. El personal es muy bueno y eficiente. Bien hecho chicos, mantenlo tal como está.

Love this place. Not only do they have great coffee and pastries (breakfast & lunch) but the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The owners are welcoming and personable and always have a smile on their face and a nice word to say.

I work around the corner and this has become my bi-weekly morning coffee habit. I love how they add extra chocolate to their cappuccinos, and the owner always strikes up a conversation and will remember your order. If you work near Farringdon, avoid all the chain cafés and come here!

Fantastic coffee, relaxing atmosphere and amazing staff! The customer service here is like nowhere else.

I'm really fussy with coffee, but these guys never disappoint. The dirty chai is particularity good - no one else ever gets it right! Really nice lunch food and sugary treats too!

Everything is home made, run by this great guy - coffee is fantastic and the food is all home made or bought from other independent places. What a great place!

I like to think I know a little bit about great coffee and great customer service and if you're looking for both, along with great food, cakes and pastries then you MUST come here. I stumbled on this place as I was looking for a coffee before I had a customer meeting in Farringdon First of all, I was greeted by Daniel who is the owner and I noticed that every customer who came into the cafe was greeted in a friendly, polite and courteous way, it seemed like that they were all his friends. Secondly, the coffee is superb, what is it about Italian cafes, why are some of them in a different league in comparison to the more popular coffee brands. The food was excellent, I had a pastrami, gherkin wrap with a very tasty cannolli to follow. Daniel also had time for a chat and I also spoke with his delightful mother who was originally from Naples and she gave me an insight into all of the Italian food and coffee whole sellers in London. If you read my reviews, I don't usually go overboard with my comments however this is truly an exception. My only advice for Daniel is - Read your Trip Advisor reviews more often and you will see how positively your customers perceive you. If you find yourself in Farringdon then YOU MUST come here, you won't be disappointing.

Probably the best coffee in the city and even better service, I cannot start my day without a coffee from EC1.

I can't start my day without a soya latte from EC1. Excellent coffee, always served with a smile. I often go back to grab one of their delicious and affordable wraps later in the day.

Great place. Understated and cool. Seemingly open only Mon-Fri as having enjoyed on our arrival at a local hotel we found it to be closed over the weekend. Clever operation and we missed coming back.

I work just round the corner and I always love popping in to this cute, homely, friendly coffee shop. The two baristas seem really genuine and the coffee is awesome too. Plus the cakes and snacks are particularly moreish :)

This outlet is fairly new to the Farringdon coffee scene but it's holding it's own. Good coffee, fresh food and owners that are really friendly. Their prices are some of the cheapest in the area but the quality is superb.
