Eavesy's Plaice in East Hertfordshire

So we decided to take advantage of the Father's Day Paella and Champagne special deal on Groupon and what a great deal it was. Eavesy's plaice has a very chilled vibe almost like just hanging out in your own back garden. The outdoor bar and kitchen are great and it was a pleasure to watch chef Jamie at work cooking up a banging paella whilst the co owner Sarah always made sure your champagne glass was never empty. The children's entertainment zone was amazing with the big screen playing number blocks and other cbeebies classics whilst being supplied with an endless feast of fruit kebabs and rocket lollies. Overall a great experience and will definitely be back

Visited this fine establishment by way of invite from the new owner. Not a tall man by any stretch of the imagination, but he made up for it with his friendly & generous demeanour. The scampi fries were as free flowing as the beers and he even knocked up a delicious Paella on the bbq. The warm fridge behind the bar was the only disappointment, as was the lack of TV outside with the football on. If he can address these minor issues, this truly will be 'the Plaice to be'

Club Tropicana meets my late grandad’s shed - Eavsey’s place is a hidden oasis tucked away in an unsuspecting corner of Hertford. I loved my day party there - partly because of the hosts, but mainly because I didn’t have to tap my bloody debit card every 5 minutes. Bring your friends, family and small children and get slowly leathered on Sol and lime whilst the lovely Jamie and Sarah fully smoke your chicken.
