Eat Pho Bournemouth in Bournemouth

Third visit here & sadly not the best and gone down hill service wise.. It was a very quiet evening and service was incredibly slow for some unknown reason. Were not asked for drinks orders for a very long time. Mains came out just as we were eating starters. When one of us asked for tap water we were told they no longer do this. I’m sure by law as a licensed restaurant you are required to not deny a patron drinking water so this really baffled me. Maybe I’m wrong but it seemed a very silly thing to do. Unlikely to return.

Now my favourite to have delivered. I have vermicelli noodles or a curry dish. Spring rolls either crispy or summer rolls. Both very good.

The starter was homemade meat spring rolls, not bought in, and very tasty. Mains were equally as good, with me being shown what I needed to do with the sauce accompaniment. Would recommend

Not as good as we hoped, the flavours just weren't there, the pho was too watery, mabe we just went on the wrong day?

We went for a meal, 11 of us, and all really enjoyed the meal with Bao, who was serving us giving excellent service. He was very friendly, happy and made us all feel very comfortable. We all particularly liked our starters!

Came in a Saturday lunch for mums birthday. I have been to Vietnam 5 times in holiday and it’s one of my favourite cuisines. I was a bit disappointed here. Food was freshly cooked but not totally authentic. Fresh summer rolls were the best dish but the dipping sauce was not the fish sauce/ chilli dipping sauce that would be typical. - it was a chili lime sauce that seemed to be ubiquitous here , also served with my Bun cha ( pork lemon grass noodles), which is not the typical sauce with this dish. The beef pho looked promising but mum thought the soup was instant. The beef was more like a sliced beef brisket. The spring rolls were tasteless. Sorry won’t be back

Online the menu clearly states .. with tender medium-rare beef slices and slow-cooked beef, this is also what the picture on-line shows plus lots of onions. Mine had neither the rare beef or onion, with 6 slices of beef, overall taste was weak oxo with overpowering star anise. The starter summer rolls tasted of the dipping sauce, which was nice but the roll should have some flavour of it's own. Not asked how was my meal was during or at the end. Looks good but no substance, none of the bursting flavours and textures that was promised.

Pierina and other serving staff were amazing. So was the food. Staff took time to explain the dishes, what to expect and how to best eat the food. Mostly all gluten free which suited us. Wish we lived near as would come often. Good value, healthy and tasty. Thanks Sarah & Chris East Sussex

This is a gem of a place. My first time trying Vietnamese food and I loved it. Beautifully presented and flavours to die for. The staff were brilliant. Definitely recommend the Vietnamese coffee.

Both meals had a lack of meat. Rice meal tasteless and poor, rice lumpy and chewy, salad just cucumber tomato lettuce and carrot chopped in lumps with no dressing. Noodle meal ok but my partner was still hungry. We ended up going to subway straight after. Very disappointing.

Excellent food, waiter advised us very well having not been here before, we had chicken wings as recommended, chicken skewers, special Pho and mixed meat noodles, all was perfect and very filling, waiter all so bought out extras to put in my soup to spice it up, couldn’t have asked for better service, will definitely be going back.

OMG. This is the best pho I have ever tasted! The server was amazing, he gave us recommendations for good parings between the small dishes and the mains so that was had a range of tastes. I had the hot wings to start and they are like Vietnamese fried chicken, full of wonderful spices. The food comes out as and when it is cooked so that it is as hot and fresh as can be. My main was the vegan spicy pho. The broth was so rich and flavourful, and the meal featured this isn't chicken strips and lovely big chunks of tofu. My partner had the prawn summer rolls and duck pho and said they were out of this world. We will definitely be back!

We visited here as we’d seen the reviews and wanted to try an independent restaurant. The staff are excellent and very kind. Soy un entusiasta visitante y tenía esto en mi lista de lugares para almorzar. Era un lunes tranquilo después de la 1 pm y solo había una mesa con gente. Me senté junto a una chica agradable que rápidamente me mostró una mesa y me trajo un menú. Decidí pedir del menú especial de almuerzo de lunes a viernes que vi publicado en la puerta. Pensé que era un precio justo a las 6. 95 y la comida vino con una bebida. Pedí el tazón de fideos de pollo con hierba de limón y un agua quieta. Vino rápido y estaba bastante sabroso ya que el pollo tenía especias secas y le agregué la salsa que venía con él.

I wouldn’t consider this a dinner destination by any means but it was perfect for something different for lunch. Ingredients were all fresh. The non-broth pho was full of veggies and both of our guests at our table enjoyed them. I had the #10 speciality and the broth was fantastic. I was disappointed there weren’t more beef balls.

This place is spotless and the service is very good. Unfortunately let down by the food in my opinion. Don't get me wrong - the ingredients are fresh, well-cooked and nicely presented, it's just that all the dishes we had were just a little bland and tasteless which is a real shame. Maybe they're catering for British tastes? We lived in SE Asia for 2 years and expected the food to be bursting with flavour like it does there, but unfortunately this wasn't the case.

La amable camarera hizo algunas recomendaciones y probamos los rollos de langostinos de verano que venían con un delicioso aderezo de maní que era más sabroso que el satay, tenía una nota agria que cortaba la dulzura. Luego probamos una sopa con fideos y un plato de ensalada de fideos. Ambos eran deliciosos y enormes porciones. El plato vegetariano tenía sustitutos de carne interesantes en los que no había visto antes y que proporcionaban texturas interesantes. También probamos el jugo de lycee, que es muy dulce y tiene varios ingredientes en el fondo del vaso para comer con una cuchara al final, ¡así que básicamente se sirve como postre! Lamentablemente, no somos locales; sin embargo, si fuéramos, definitivamente seríamos clientes habituales.

Really good little eatery in Christchurch Road with a wide menu. Opted for the Phở đặc biệt, delicious broth, loads of meat and generous portion side. Bottled beers were +£4. A pho and a Saigon Beer came in at just under £15. Thoroughly recommend.

This was the most authentic, tasty food I've had in a long long time. Just the right amount of spice, nothing overpowering just be prepared for intense flavours. Will definitely be back x

Tastes exactly as if I was back in Vietnam. I got to practice my poor vietnamese with the lovely staff. The food was great and the service was fast. Lovely atmosphere, I would recommend this place for a lovely meal out and authentic vietnamese food.
