Despite living in Conwy, this was our first visit to Dylan’s Conwy. We use the Llandudno restaurant regularly when we go to Venue Cymru, and cocktails on the deck at Criccieth is a real treat. I think Conwy is our new favourite though! We had a lovely welcome, and our request for an upstairs table was happily met. The decor is a great mixture of retro, nautical and cosy, and the views of the Castle and church are a lovely finish! The food is the standard Dylan’s fare. I ordered the ribs, and my wife a gluten-free pizza. The acceptable waiting time was just enough to down the fabulous cocktails, complete with local pun naming. The food was fresh and super- tasty. Best ribs I’ve had in a long time, and the GF pizza was a big hit. We left room for dessert, (we thought) but were unable to finish the huge portions of cheesecake and tiramisu, delicious though they were. Service was friendly and attentive, as it is at all Dylan’s. A big hit!

Lovely to visit Dylan’s Conwy for the first time. We sat upstairs where there’s a fabulous view of the Castle. Decor inside is Welsh blanket pattern inspired upholstery and very modern. We were waited on by the lovely Charlie who was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed cocktails first (Ormestar Martini and Ynys Môn hatten - we love Dylan’s local place name puns for cocktails) Then I had a gluten free mushroom pizza and my husband had the ribs, followed by tiramisu and cheesecake. We enjoyed the whole experience very much and will definitely return.

Lovely decor, friendly attentive staff but unfortunately food was only average. I’ve eaten a lot of Moules in my time but these were among the worse. Small, gritty and over cooked. They even warn you about the grit on the menu. First time I’ve seen that on a menu so I’m wondering if others have complained. Had to pay extra for fries. Moules are supposed to be a house speciality so I was disappointed.

Love Dylan’s. Great menu. The service was not at its best this time unfortunately. Quite slow. I think they were short staffed.

We thought the food and drinks were overpriced for the quality of the food. I ordered fish tacos, on the menu it said they came with guacamole but it wasn’t in the dish so I had to ask for it. That was disappointing! We waited 45 minutes for our food to come out, we asked the waitress if we’d been forgotten to be served. As soon as we asked it came out, unbelievable!! We will not be eating in the Conwy restaurant again. The staff were friendly at least!

Always book at a Dylan’s sometime during a stay in N Wales so decided to try Conway as it was on our way home. Disappointed we couldn’t sit upstairs (with view of the Castle) as the server said it wasn’t open, though later we saw people being shown up there. Ah well…. Husband had the hake which he said was lovely. I had gambas which were rather lukewarm rather than hot. The roast new potatoes were very tasty and very hot! All in all a pleasant enough lunch experience.

This venue is great whether it is breakfast lunch or dinner. We went as a group of friends at 4:30pm and had an amazing time. The food is fantastic but the staff really bring the place to life. Olly and Suzy were attentive at all the right times and tolerated our ever increasing volume which happens when old friends get together. Thank you for great food and service and lots of laughs.

This was our first visit to Conwy and I carefully chose where we would have our meal. I popped in to see if I could book for the evening and was told there was availability at a specific time. When we arrived the place was half empty. I thought maybe they were understaffed. We ordered a starter to share and I ordered the mussels but were told they had sold out. This was the main reason I chose to eat here as I was really looking forward to the mussels, otherwise I would have gone somewhere else. It was quite early in the evening so they must have sold out during the lunchtime service. My boyfriend ordered the katsu chicken burger but again, we were told it had sold out. The waitress suggested the chowder so I went for that. The staff were absolutely lovely. The chowder was incredibly bland and underwhelming considering it cost £25. I think I could have done better myself. My boyfriend ordered a halloumi burger instead which was also disappointing. He actually laughed at how small it was. The total was close to £100 for the 2 of us and we were both hungry after. The next day we had lunch at the fisherman’s fish and shop down the road which was a fraction of the price and was incredible in comparison.

When we arrived we were told by the young girl to wait by the door to be seated, there was one couple in restaurant seated with every other table vacant. The young girl was busy at the bar pouring drinks, stopping only to chat with a gentleman sat at a table who appeared to be in charge, we waited and waited whilst she poured the drinks then delivered them to the couple then after she had delivered the drinks we waited whilst she returned to the bar with the empty tray. So after waiting by the door we were then offered one of the empty tables, we just didn’t feel welcome at all. having worked and trained in hospitality for nearly 40 years I find this unacceptable we were made to feel very uncomfortable. The young girl who was obviously working single handed then brought us menus , then disappeared to collect meals for the couple at the only occupied table , she then took our order. She was very polite and professional in taking our order and she eventually brought us our meal, my soup was lovely however my husband’s Welsh Rarebit although it tasted nice was very small and the topping was very sparse. For the cost of the meal this was an absolute rip off. These days when hospitality is struggling customers need to have value for money or we just won’t return and we will give bad reviews, needless to say we wonted be returning

Really sorry to say this because we so like it here but this experience was just not acceptable.. Our fish cake starter was very poor and even burnt and far too expensive at £15 each 'awful' and just not nice. 4 of us had this and all felt the same. Plaice as Mains again really tasteless, it was steamed and our veg were dull and cold. Soooo disappointing. Our bill for 4 was crazy at £350 even without a tip. This experience was probably one of the worse ever for both my husband and I , and our friends for a long time. You must try harder Dylan's as complacency will set you back.

Not for vegetarian food if tonight's experience is typical. Freezer cold tacos (3). Filling 90% iceberg lettuce, teaspoon of advertised filling £15.50!

Great meal of mussels and a seafood linguine. But the winner was the artisan bread -out of this world. Aled was a friendly welcoming host.

Dylan's successfully manages to cater for both families with young children and couples. The menu covers everything from burgers and pizzas, to mussels and lobster. The venue is nice with a great view over the church and a deli shop downstairs. We had croquettes, pizza, chips and side salad (which was fresh and tasty). The food isn't spectacular but is done well. A great choice for a meal, especially for those who cannot agree on what to eat.

Great menu made with local and seasonal products. I had the soup of the day (leek and pea), baked hake and chocolate tart. Lots of seating downstairs facing the high street, and upstairs with views of the castle. Staff was very efficient and friendly. They also have a nice deli next door.

Food very nice but I've ordered 3 times from here and the order has been wrong or had items missing every time. Check your order before you leave!

My husband and i had our own oatcake shop in Staffordshire and we can say that on the 2 occasions that we actually found this shop in Llandudno to be open ,the oatcakes were "up to scratch" . However,we found ourselves in Llandudno (we are not local),in the month of June for 3 weeks and went again and again to the shop ,but it was never open. The adjoining shop owner told us several times that the Oatcake shop was not permanently closed and that she had tried to contact Sue the owner several times ,to no avail. It's a shame ,as the shop had loyal, regular customers apparently and Sue made a good product.
