Dyce Tandoori in Aberdeen City

Came here whilst staying overnight at the Aberdeen airport. It was fine. £25 for poppadoms, naan and a chicken curry. Beer wasn't cold and naan was underwhelming, not from a proper tandoor oven and I don't think it was fresh dough. Curry was decent although a little small. The poppadoms had been on the side for a while and came immediately.. service decent. Aside from a kid riding around the restaurant on a scooter.

Quite nice food but staff were unsure about some aspects of what is or isn't gluten free. The waiting staff tried to be helpful but a bit risky if for health reasons, you must have gluten free food

We have had our takeaways from here a few times the first two times they were great the last one we had wasn’t so good. They forgot some of our order. The chicken I had was raw it was still pink in the middle so as you imagine, I wasn’t too impressed considering an Indian take away is quite expensive. I don’t think we will be back.

We’ve been a few times with my son and his wife. Had loads of takeaways from them. Never ever disappoints. Stunning quality food.

Fabulous food along with great, attentive service. Mannered staff with suggestions given too, which we were glad to take. Starters we had were prawn purée which were extremely fluffy purée along with sizeable prawns.

By far the best tikka masala I’ve had. I’ve tried many. Starters, main, help with the menu were outstanding. Just sad I don’t live in Scotland anymore and only visit. Place deserves to be packaged very night. Service was excellent!

Great food, great service, authentic atmosphere. My wife and I have been here twice now so this is a tried and tested review. Always a friendly welcome and staff are very attentive and polite. Nice atmosphere, clean and tidy decor and I love the authentic Indian music. Papadoms and four accompanying sundries are all fresh. 1st visit we had the sharer platter which was perfect. Not too much and not to little, perfect balance. Wife has a chicken tikka and I have the Kathmandu curry for our mains. Portions are very generous. Food is well presented and hot. Tikka is a mixture of tasty spices and a plentiful rich creamy sauce. Can taste most of the individual ingredients in the Kathmandu curry, all freshly cooked and is very moreish. Never had an issue with the meat. Cooked perfectly and is not chewy. Rice is fluffy and fresh. Be warned the naan bread is huge but also fresh. Worth noting that the takeaway is always busy too. People coming in like a revolving door both instances when we've been sitting having a meal.This does not effect service levels but just proves that the food is obviously good Great Indian restaurant, try it you won't regret it.

Food was lovely except for the butterfly prawns as they were overfried and there was a lot of batter but the prawns were quite small. (I also had Ceylonese Korma + Lemon Rice and would definitely comeback for that dish). Helpful staff.

Dyce Tandoori restaurant in Aberdeen must be at the forefront when it comes to authentic Indian cuisine. The quality of food, service and staff are, in a word, unique.

Went here on Saturday night about 9pm. Not a living soul in the place so immediate red flag. Decided to give it a try and we weren't disappointed. We had a lamb curry, chicken tikka masala, garlic naan and vegetable fried rice. Everything was yummy, and there was enough to have us stuffed+doggy bag. We do have three dogs but they weren't getting any of it. We had it for supper on the Sunday night. £42.00 + £5.00 tip for the good service. Highly recommended.

All Of Which Was Really Really Bad Nothing Like Discribed On The Menu It Was Tasteless And Overly Sweet Definitely Not Authentic Would Never Go There Again We All Came Home Feeling Nauseous My Mother's Day Meal Was A Disaster 0 Ratings P.s In Response To Dyce Tandoori Reply I Asked For The Meals That Was Unedable To Be Removed From The Bill I Was Told That They Could Not Do That BUT The Next Time I Came In I Would Get Meals On The House I Told Them I Would Never Be Back So They Removed £30.00 From The Bill Which I Still Think £100 For What I Got Was Robbery So I Don't Know Where Your Getting Your High And Mighty Response From I Have The Receipt To Prove It

We tend to go here around once a month, if we get the opportunity to! Would highly recommend going into the restaurant and sitting in rather than ordering through takeaway, as it is such a better experience! The food is absolutely delicious and the staff are also lovely and always remember us. A nice gesture they also have is pouring your drink in front of you and opening it in front of you, which I think is really nice. They are always making sure that everything is okay and making sure you have everything that you need. This place also has quite a large restaurant so you were quite spaced out and not crammed in with other people which I also like. It is also quite reasonably priced.

Came here on Wednesday around 18:00. The food was delicious - I’d recommend the garlic chilli chicken tandoori. The service was excellent. The prices are very reasonable. I will definitely come back again soon.

We ordered the tandoori mixed grill and chicken tikka masala with cheese garlic naan. Unfortunately none of the dishes had any flavour, especially the chicken tikka which is traditionally supposed to have a nice kick to it, but this dish served had so much of sweetness to it, almost tasted like dessert with chicken in it. The meat in the mixed grill was so tough and over cooked. The naan seemed to be shop brought (frozen stuff) and just popped into the oven - tasteless and sprinkled with garlic powder. Very disappointed with my experience.

Was going to a show at the nearby TECA and thought this would be the ideal place for a meal with my wife, our son and his girlfriend. Arrived about 6.15 and sat at a table before 6.30. Restaurant was busy I assumed with other people going to the show. Drink orders and food orders taken at the same time as I knew we needed to be reasonably quick. Drinks arrived quickly followed shortly afterwards by the customary poppadoms with sauces. Here ends the good part of the visit. The restaurant started to empty and we waited for our mains, as did the couple next to us. Just before half past, they gave up and went to pay without getting their food, which apparently was just ready so they got it to take away. We have it another 10 minutes and then we had to go. As I went to pay and explain tht we couldn’t stay any longer, I was told tht the food was ready! I explained that it was too late and that we had been waiting 45 minutes for it. The staff offered to give us it to takeaway which I agreed. Even that took another 5 minutes to get! I paid the bill and the staff gave me a small discount for my trouble, we got our food and off we went. After the show, we got home to have our long awaited dinner. Opened the bag and found that we had got our 4 mains and 2 naans but no rice! So we didn’t really get a discount, we just didn’t get all the food we ordered! The staff seemed nice but obviously weren’t used to busy nights but when the restaurant started to empty, the kitchen and staff seemed to stop. Would not return for a meal here.

Kind and attentive service. Food good. Will try a few more times to work out spicing. Has a chicken madras, tadka dhal and bombay aloo. Tadka dhall is good and perfect consistency with enough garlic. Need a few more chillies but didn't ask for it so won't complain. Bombay aloo as well Good flavours but not spicy enough but will ask for it next time Chicken madras - just tried the sauce (vegetarian, I am) and sauce was perfect hot with a hint of sweetness. Didn't expect that sweetness but overall it was nice. Next time more specific requests and looking forward to a happy experience By the way, the naans were light and not doughy. Some may like, some may complain - I am neutral on that!

The outside is very clean 👌 and tidy, the staff are very friendly and polite although not busy I did not have long to wait for my order.

This place offers free tickets to Indian and back, in this place you will taste the genuine and authentic taste of Indian food that has been freshly cooked just for you by a passionate chef, this place like no other place as it will make you feel the taste of every ingredient and spices that’s been used in your meal. I was bit worried when first I placed the order as it was bit expensive than other places, but the minute we received our delivery we forgot about it as the seductive smells of the herbs and spices will flys you all the way to India and back. I’d definitely visit that place in person and order from them again and again. Special thanks to that passionate chef who cooked our food and thanks to delivery lady who carried our meals with care, also not to forget to thank the amazing manager who was very friendly during the phone conversation when I called to thank them for making my day. Dyce Tandoori is a gem that must be tried to experience the real India in Aberdeen.

Visiting Aberdeen and staying in Bucksburn, my wife and I found this Indian restaurant via TripAdvisor. The reviews were persuasive, so we went along on Saturday evening. First imressions as we drove into the carpark were not good; we were the only car there. However, it turns out that there was an international football match on, so their trade was almost totally takeaway whilst we were there (not something that interfered with our meal in any way). So for once, first impressions were wrong. Once inside, the service was friendly and prompt, always with a smile. The food was really, really good! Flavoursome, with good-sized portions to boot. My Achaari lamb was so tender a fork could cut it. The Peshwari naan was light and delicious. A point observed by my wife, who likes a glass of wine with her meal: they have their wine by the glass as well as in whole bottles, and the glass of Chardonnay she chose met with her approval--rare for an Indian restaurant. All in all, quite a find, and we'll likely visit Aberdeen again just to eat at this restaurant--it really is that good. Highly recommended.

I had an excellent chicken curry and paratha. I can't remember which, but it was slightly hotter than I'd usually go for. This is the nearest curry restaurant to the Bucksburn Travelodge. I had taken a road trip to Aberdeen with my new car.

Saved our Hogmanay after shish tandoori denied we had booked. Even though they were very busy and had many large groups in they accommodated four of us and we ended up glad because of the quality of the food and good service. Not just the old favourites but some nice alternatives on the menu and easy parking.

We booked at last time. Manager was very polite and friendly. Food was very tasty with good portion size. Decor needs updating but will come back for the taste.

Waiting to pick up family from the TECA arena. Parked in the restaurant car park right next to the main road. This was a really handy location for TECA. Two meals excellent currys and side dishes. Both of us really impressed with the food and the efficient and friendly service. The decor was a bit run down but that did not detract at all. I would definitely recommend to others and would eat there again, if I'm in the area.

Staff are very friendly and welcoming We ordered the set meal fr two. Papadoms were light and crispy. The mixed pakora and chicken tikka starters were very tasty. We had chicken dansak and chicken methi bhuna and both dishes were lovely and tasty. We will certatbe back to this restaurant.

Not far from Aberdeen airport or the rather shabby Marriott (reviewed separately) is the rather good Dyce Tandoori. Recently re-opened after Covid restrictions, it seems not to have got its sit in customers back yet but they should go. The food was very good and service from a multi-ethnic staff was very pleasant. This place deserves to thrive.

Ordered a takeaway during lockdown, very fast service the rogan josh was very good succulent lamb in a thick marinade sauce,my friend had chicken korma and reckons its the best she has every had the potions were decent size on the whole a lovely meal

Food is always delicious. I am lucky enough to live in Dyce but would travel far to get takeaway food as good as this. I was unfortunate enough to get my car stuck in their car park in heavy snow and 4 of the staff members ran out to help push my car. They could not have been more helpful or good natured about the matter and I am very grateful to them. I will be a happy customer for years to come.

I was staying at the hallmark hotel and due to the nature of my work I didn't have my car so the staff offered to drop me off due to the weather.
