AMAZING food and outstanding service at The Harbour! Fish Finger Butty and BLT were absolutely gorgeous 😍 Staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly without being intrusive. I'm in a wheelchair and they were so accommodating: I often feel an inconvenience to small independants but not so here! Oh, and it's dog friendly too 🐕

Aruna Art & Gift Shop Dunure. Smashing wee gift shop, Aladins cave of bespoke gifts right on the harbourside. Spent a while going through the stock and picked up some cracking Christmas gifts. Well worth a visit. The lady who own the shop is very nice and extremely helpful.

Dunure is such a quaint little harbour village, it has so much character and charm, not to mention the history from Robert the Bruce to Charles Rennie Macintosh and even an outlander film location, its got it all! It's always been a favourite place of mine and we visit regularly.

A pretty untouched harbour complete with a beach, used to come here as a child when living in the area. Dunure is a small village by the sea with stunning views overlooking the Isle of Arran and Ailsa Craig. Parking is limited beside the harbour however there is a larger car park up near the castle ruins which is payable. Worth a stop if on the way to Culzean Castle.

We had an absolutely fabulous few days visiting the working Harbour. We watched the fishermen come in and out, we enjoyed days of crabbing and there were literally hundreds of them. Visited the little shop and also the cafe, which was extremely well priced. We parked up the road for £2.50 all day. The time flew by Miss it already.

This was such a pleasant surprise. We were staying in Glenapp Castle and expected traditional fine dining in the main building, but not a Michelin-quality modern restaurant in the grounds. I was sceptical at first and had to be convinced by my partner to try this place, but I was certainly glad I did! The atmosphere on arrival is beautiful - you have a welcome canapes and drink in a green house area with pools, fresh growing herbs and other greenery around you. It was very special. Afterwards, you are treated to a fantastic, modern cuisine dinner that is exceptional with an excellent selection of wines. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are staying in the Ballantrae area. Just lovely!

The best place to eat for a homey food, please come to this place you wont be disappointed. I came here with my boyfriend yesterday for our first trip to the beach in Prestwick. The lady who handled us with short hair and glasses was so nice, she’s so heartwarming and very welcoming overall. The price is really affordable in my opinion. We had a three courses meal for £11 which includes Starter, Main, and Dessert. The food is really amazing! I came to Scotland last year September and I’d say this is definitely in my top 3 or even the best food I’ve ever had. My favorite one is the Steakpie from the main menu and my bf’s favorite is the soup and mac n cheese. The food is incredible so it’s all worth it. The lady who serve us made our trip memorable. I had a really great time here and I promise the food is really lovely!!!
