turned up right in the middle of a funeral but only had to wait till they had tidied up. as it was busy, the staff were still attentive. have got to say the food was lovely quite big portions and all very tasty. and to be honest it wasn't expensive at about £26 for 2 with soft drinks. exelwell worth the visit

I've visited the Duntiglennan many times over the years, most recently twice in November 2023. The food is always delicious, the prices are really reasonable and the atmosphere is relaxed. Will definitely return!

Horrendous service. Walked in at 18:50hrs told kitchen closed in 10 mins. No worries order wine only for manager to exclaim have they booked if not tell them we’re closed to the young waitress who was physically shaking when she had to passed this on. 40 years in the hospitality industry and this is up there with the worst. Do yourself a favour and go to Golden Hill where the service is outstanding.

Visited here last week with family and were met by a very abrupt woman who orders you to stand still at the door until she is ready to snap at you and tell you where to sit ! , you can't go to the bar to look at what they sell as she tells you to STOP . Makes you feel very uncomfortable and would suggest that she needs more training in customer service and a visit to the doctor for her nerves ! Won't be back .

Been here a few times in past years and was nice, nothing great, but decent. Went here last week and I won't be back. Waited 10 mins to be acknowledged on waiting to be seated, staff were at the bar right in front and couldn't even say oh we will be with u soon, just left standing there like idiots. Finally the older blonde woman comes over and she couldn't have been less welcoming, dour face, no smiles, zero customer service skills. All the tables outside were manky also. The menu is ridiculously over priced! £17.50 for a lamb shank, with chive mash and broccoli...comes out in a bowl lol, no broccoli, instead the worst looking frozen mixed veg I've ever seen, also partner doesn't like peas and carrots, he wanted the broccoli as listed on menu 🤷♀️ mash was dry and not a chive in sight, my partner was still starving after eating what he could. My sausage and mash was supposed to come with chive mash, onion chutney, and red cabbage, again dry mash, no chives, and no onion chutney, literally a plate with a dollop of dry mash, 3 sausages on top, and a dollop of red cabbage 🤷♀️ only the middle of the sausages were edible. The ends were solid, so much so they couldn't even be chewed. The serving staff were just as dour faced as the bar staff (minus the tall bald guy, he seemed nice although he didn't serve us). Cracked a wee joke with the larger made girl with the glasses and it was met with a blank stare. Honestly crap experience, and won't be returning. Sadly it won't change, as where they are situated, they will get different customers who will be trying them for the first time every day. Toilets were also manky, toilet roll everywhere, wet floors. Place had gone right down the pan. Popped over to Balloch House for a coffee and the staff were lovely 👌🩷 gr8 customer service, and even a nice friendly chat with thr bar tender who brought our coffees out to us.

Lovely place with friendly staff, dunks are relatively cheap as well. Regulars will place chairs directly in front of the bar and the waiting time for food can reach an hour for one item on a calm day but for a quick pint it’s cracking
