I ordered Kitfo Special (like beef tar tar) and Kitfo normal with extra 10 Injera (Ethiopian/Eritrean flat bread) via just eats. The payment didn't go through as I was using a new phone and my app didn't recognise it. So I decided to call them (big mistake). I ordered over the phone and asked them if they could deliver it to The BrickStone Restaurant/Sports Bar on Brixton road. The guy taking the order had no manners, no phone etiquette. He was rude and abrupt. Anyways, he tried to call me whilst I was in BrickStone which at the time the Brickstone was playing loud music so I didn't hear my phone going off. So he calls me again to shout at me why I didn't pick up my phone and seems so worked up by it. He then tells me he would charge me £10 for delivery (Just eats charge you less than £3 if I was successful ordering through Just Eats). This guy then calls again to shout and spit feather lol. The owner or the people who work there must have come straight from the jungle, like wild animals. He doesn't know me from adams but he proceeds to talk to me in such a manner that I laughed in disbelief. He hung up the phone on me and one of our friends called them again to plead with them lol so they can deliver our Kitfo. In the end, we paid £5 for delivery. The problem is not the delivery charge, its the way they handle their customers. Very atrocious. I would not order over the phone from them nor would I dare visit this place. By the way, I never been to this place and it was on a friend's recommendation that I decided to call - what a mistake.

The workplace to visit with limited access of food. In the menu there was a fish and rice I am order, but I was told that this don't have fish and rice. Then I ordered other food, they said they don't have it. I can't walk out because I was with family. Their had been a problem, they can't satisfy there customer thoroughly.

I went with my two kids on 25/07/2021. A waitress took her time before she appear with glasses to put in front of us and asked what we wanted without providing us a menu. When I asked a menu, she was all stroppy (my guess is because I am Ethiopian she assumed I should know all the Ethiopian dishes they serve at heart 🙄). There wasn’t many customers around (now I know why) but she went behind the counter and was very hard to catch her attention to order/ask if we can have another glass as one of them have a chip on it. Had to leave the table and walk over to the counter for her to not utter a word and just pass me a wet glass; which made me decide to just drink out of a can at that point than having conversations about a stupid drinking glass again. She returned to our table after a while and we finally ordered dulet and “derek tibs lean” and after a good half hour, a lady brought the food out, the meat is full of fat cuts. I politely informed the lady who brought it to my table (not the waitress but someone from the kitchen) that we specifically ordered lean meat. She walked over to the waitress and start having a conversation behind the counter and could clearly hear their displeasure of the situation, shoulder shrugs and looking towards our table smirking that made us very uncomfortable. The lady from the kitchen came back and said that they will now prepare derek tibs with lean meat and went to the back. A few seconds later she reappeared with an empty plate and picked all of the derek tibs meat pieces off the injera with her fingers (you can’t make this up) and transferred it from our plate as the plate had dulet (another dish) on it . Forget about how disgusting and disrespectful her behaviour is to start with touching customers food with her hand but with this pandemic, are they even allowed to touch food without the correct protective equipment such as gloves. I have to be honest that the attitude they presented have made me feel uncomfortable to a point I decided not to say anything about them touching the food …. Went and paid and I am guessing it is the owner who is at the till, was very polite bless him. Left the restaurant and into the car where my daughter sighed loudly and asked “what was that mummy, why are people from your country so rude?!”. Very interesting conversation we had on the long drive home. Shameful! I will never go back!!!

A really cool experience. We had no clue about Eritrean food and just took the meat/ veg shared plate for two. You eat with your hands or pinch the food inside the wraps that come with the food. Only downside was that it was very cold inside the restaurant

We had a fantastic meal tonight at Orit’s Ethiopian Restaurant. We ordered a sampler menu, with both meat and vegetarian dishes. The food was excellent, the service quick, and they were very responsive to food allergies. Highly recommended and we will definitely come back. A meal for three was around 40 pounds, extremely good value. Bathrooms were very clean as well for those who value such things.

First time ordering from this place. We ordered over Deliveroo and their service was quick and food was well packed. I had Doro, dulet, quanta firfir and kitfo. The dulet and kitfo were top! So delicious. The doro was also good! The only one I didn’t enjoy as much as I wanted to was the quanta firfir (it had a bit watery/ soaked enjera fitfit taste and maybe needed more seasoning / berbere I think) it wasn’t my personal favourite and I don’t think I’d order it again. That’s not to take away from the rest and the generous portions. I’d recommend to try the rest, especially the kitfo and dulet!

Great food. Really good value. We had the first set meal for 2 which was £35 for two. Well away for the usual tourist route. Highly recommended👏👏👏
