Duad in Belfast

Firstly we were unsuccessful in finding a menu online, and probably for good reason. The first surprise was the drinks, £7 for an IPA, and to top that, it was a low strength can! The menu is a flowered version of what appeared to be low quality supermarket food. The steak had a good texture, I just couldn't taste it for the over the top seasoning. The biggest bug bare, everything is caked in sea salt, a ploy to get customers to pay extortionate prices for drinks? Not for someone with high blood pressure for sure. Atmosphere was non exist, more like The Police than Hendrix blasting out. I wanted to leave when I walked in, but stayed to give it the benefit of the doubt. Being honest, the salt wasn't the only thing that left a bad taste afterwards. Overpriced and won't be caught out again. Stay at home and drink saline, save your time and money. *The picture is of one chip!

Popped into Duad for a few post meal cocktails when we had some friends visiting. A great addition to Belmont. Drinks were great and vibe is buzzing.

A small venue but it had a great atmosphere, the service was superb and the food was excellent! We had the slimmed-down ‘Jumon’ menu and the variety of the vegan options were fantastic - can we please have more of this 🙏🏻

One of the best vibes in the east and the food is excellent

Got the gnocchi and Korean chicken , whilst it was lovely the portion sizes were small.Would give the food 4-5 for taste . Staff were very attentive and pleasant . Music really good but very very loud to the point it hurt your ears and didn’t make you want to stay as you couldn’t talk to each other. It was a shame as I wanted to try the desert and maybe have a few drinks but it became impossible to hear . Would go back if the music was turned down just a fraction.

The food was good, the atmosphere is lovely and has a vintage vibe to it which we love. The hospitality is ZERO! We wanted to try this new place as a double-date dining and wine, so we chose this place. We knew a DJ would be there but he was loud and we couldn’t hear each other. There were two other tables as well, I am mentioning this so u know there were not busy at all and we felt we were hated there, like an actual HATE and being bullied, the DJ was pointing at us and staring at us and talking to the waitress and they would laugh loudly and give us ugly looks! Remember we are 4 paying customers that went out on Saturday night to spend a lot of money on food and wine which that’s what you want for your business but unfortunately, after the behaviour from the staff we will not be coming back and would not recommend this place to our friends either, we rather spend our money where we feel welcomed, asked how the food was and when we ask for something wouldn’t be ignored. They would not clean the plates of starters when the main arrived or notice that there was no knife and fork there for us to eat… we literally had to stand and go to the desk and ask for water or one more glass or order anything…They just literally stayed behind the desk and stared at us and pointed us out and laughed!!! ( specially the girl with brown long curly hair which has rolled her eyes on us nonstop ) The top of the cherry was when both girls went out for a joint and the door and windows were open so all the weed smell was in our faces. Overall nice little spot but staff chosen badly.

Easily the best place for drinks and light bites in Belfast. I would give up my unborn children for the goats cheese bites with hot honey. Couldn’t recommend it higher.

Feels like you could be on some little corner in the 11th of Paris. Even better if you can offer some house wine/table wine/carafes for the cheapos that are there for the wine and tunes. Upon exiting the premises, it is a good idea to remind oneself that you are infact stepping out onto the Belmont and not Boulevard Voltaire..

Booked a table for 19:30 on a bank holiday Monday which was super easy to do online. There were a couple of tables already seated when we arrived and they soon filled up whilst we were looking at the menu. So I recommend booking! We opted to share a few small plates, just to try a few different dishes and we were not disappointed! The food came out in good time and the flavours were world class. We especially enjoyed the arancini and the cauliflower wings. Delicious! We opted for their Duad With Love cocktail which was reasonably priced and had a lovely balance of flavours. Super light and fresh. So far we are already at a 5/5, but the atmosphere is what really makes this place, super chill & funky, spectacular decor, an awesome mix of vinyl classics and lovely, attentive staff! Absolutely recommend Duad. And to top it off, we found out they're dog friendly! We will be back for brunch 💜

Great food, atmosphere and service. A gem on the Belmont Road, highly recommended.

Dinner and breakfast have both been absolutely amazing in Duad. The atmosphere is super cool and relaxed and the staff are really friendly. Can't wait to go back.

This has been a great discovery over the last few months. Great little place during the day - like the sorta place you'd go to in a wee French town for a nice but not break the bank lunch. I mean £15 for steak and chips is hard to beat! The girl Cait who hosted us made great coffee and provided great service. I may well end up part of the furniture here!

Lovely decor, gorgeous atmosphere and incredible music. Food is stunning and I can tell the chef and owners are paying attention to what they’re putting out! Outstanding cocktails and drinks selection. Amazing service, waitress was great craic, actually surprised at the prices for the venue and location, great value! Will be back no doubt.

Came for lunch this week and it was lovely. Really friendly staff, nice ambience - the vinyl player is a nice touch and I got to listen to some Classic tunes. Had the Caesar salad which was a generous portion and really tasty. Will be back for dinner soon I hope

Had the most amazing experience at Duad last night and will be back very soon. Highlights were steak frites and the fish croquettes, so much flavour and excellent portions. We had a cheeseboard which was incredibly generous and felt like a really premium selection. Music was great and lovely warm ambiance. Can’t wait to eat and drink here again!

Absolutely delicious food, chill vibe and lovely service. Only drawback was I was frozen and had the electric heater beside me. I checked and other diners were also still in coats and scarves. The windows must be losing masses of heat!
