Amazing food. I went here based on the rating on Google and found out it was a good choice.

Mild satay sauce was in fact hot. Please don’t put pineapple in satay sauce either! Little bit disappointed.

My new found favourite!! The chilli chicken is so good! The noodles are amazing! Also chicken satay, wow!! Service really good and staff are so friendly Snack box is amazing value for money Love my fortune cookie that I get with my order!!

Delicious food. Will be coming back

Food is a lways awesome and always delivered on time,a particular favourite starter for me is there delicious Thai style crispy chicken pancake rolls with sweet chilli dip delicious I eat from there at least twice a week and whether in the takeaway or over the phone pleasant service as always brilliant food and brilliant people definitely recommend u try there delicious menu

Delicious fresh HOT food every single time I use this restaurant! Can not recommend enough. Wait time isn’t that long either, I phone up to order a delivery and they already know my name and address which is lovely as they are ready to take my order, if I order a pickup they know who it is for too. At time of order I’m notified with how long it’ll be and how much and they are sometimes quicker for delivery then the time stated. So worth the money paid on every meal ordered from here! So easy to order from here as well! Just a shame they are on holiday until 4th August and shop is shut until they are back.

I have been using this take away for years and regularly. The food was always fresh and great. The staff very friendly and even know it’s me when I call. Unfortunately, tonight I called for a pick up and our experience was disappointing. They were very busy tonight and I was completely happy to wait an hour before collection. However, when I got back, my fathers chicken breast curry was very undercooked. The chicken was still pink and cold in the middle. Mistakes happen, but when he called to tell dragon house that this had happened he was told that the chicken was new and that it would be fine to eat. Pink chicken is not safe to eat under any circumstances. This advise is why I am writing this review. We had a member of staff come to the door with a refund which is well received but the advise was repeated that the chicken is new and fine to eat. Undercooked chicken is dangerous! Mistakes happen, even in the best establishments but this response is concerning.

We don't live in Gala but make the drive for the Dragon House Chinese, it's always fresh, tastes great and is a fabulous choice! We love the fact that we get recognised when we come in/or phone even tho we aren't local or eat there often! Great wee surprises always await in the bag too , such as an extra fortune cookie 🥠:).

First time we've ordered from here. Food was ready for pick up in 20 mins, excellent service and good quality meals. Cash only, mind so head to the bank first!

The meal that I ordered was not very good, it arrived promptly, but I wish they took care in cooking it, the chips were sogy, the ribs that was ordered, looks like the sauce was from an old tea bag, I threw the lot aw33, I will never get a meal there again

Excellent service and quality of food

Disappointing takeaway. Large portions but the food was bland. The pancake rolls appeared to be battered before frying giving them a strange texture and they lacked seasoning. We won’t be back.

Very poor, Overcooked Chicken fried rice and Chicken Cashew Nut with no cashews??

Ordered at 6.45 , told 30 mins delivery , phoned 50 min later to be told that delivery driver had returned to the shop to pick up another load and it would be another 30 mins taking it to 80 mins. Shop then phoned and essentially forced us to cancel the order by stating they couldn’t get the meal to us in another 20 mins. Made excuse that it was a Saturday night which somehow excuse them for either delivery an hour late or cancelling the order. Very poor service

Really like this Chinese takeaway in Galashiels. Great menu choice, reasonable prices, friendly, efficient service. Food is tasty and good sized portions. Would recommend.

Popped in for a takeaway this evening, first time here and certainly won’t be the last. Lovely staff and amazing food. Thai lemon chicken was gorgeous, chicken curry beautiful, much nicer than any others I’ve tasted. Most definitely will be back soon!

Ordered takeaway food here on Sunday evening for delivery. Arrived within 40 mins, pleasant driver and food still hot! The portions are huge! So much so we refrigerated half of it for dinner the next day!! Salt pepper & chilli chicken starter was the best we’ve had for a long time. Hubby had the Thai red curry - he loves hot spicy food - and it lived up to its description - he thoroughly enjoyed it. Slightly more expensive than the other local Chinese takeaways but most definitely worth the extra couple of pounds. We have used other Chinese takeaway restaurants in the area and this was recommended to us by a friend. So glad we gave it a try and will definitely be using in the future.

First delivery in a long time when food has been delivered prompt and warm on arrival!!We have tried a few home deliverys from various other places and to be honest not fun especially with young children hungry! Each time ive ordered I've been amazed at tne quickness! Food was delicious (huge portions) incredibly reasonable price!! and to have fortune cookies as an added extra was a treat and great fun for the kids. Staff so lovely! But also to be able to order using my bank card was an extra bonus!!!

I would avoid this place if you have never been. I ordered a mixed starter and some bbq ribs, 2 main meals and chicken fried rice. All disappointed. Spring rolls are hollow little packages of pastry. I've no idea what passes for decent food in Galashiels but there has to be much better Chinese food in town than this. There are plenty of Chinese takeaways in town. As a visitor I searched for restaurants and opted for the one with the highest rating. I can only assume that a lot or the reviews are fake. Whenever you see a local guide posting a review on Google maps it is always 5 star for every business. I wonder why?

Always fast delivery. Food always top quality and hot on arrival. Super friendly staff (on reception and delivery driver). Only Chinese in Galashiels we use. Amazing.

Had the crispy chilli beef - very tasty - accompanied by singapore fine noodles which had lots of veg/meat/chillies through it. All round a lovely meal. I have no hesitation in recommending the Dragon House.

Got a takeaway for the first time from Dragon House and it is by far the best I have had in Gala. We got a starter and a main for each of the 5 of us and all but one of the 10 dishes were fantastic with the final one being simply ‘fine’. One thing to note is that the portions are huge so maybe think about sharing! Will be back soon for sure.

Very disappointed! First time order from here and it was disgusting. I phoned to advise them ( not to complain) just to let them know. Girl on phone just laughed. What do you want me to do? Was her response. Crispy Chilli chicken was not crispy it was chewy. Sauce was not tasty. Rice was dark brown.. burnt. Spare ribs looked like, well take a guess. The only good thing was chips and prawn crackers. Delivery time was good. Will NEVER order from here again.

My husband and I love this takeaway as there are bizarrely few restaurants in our part of the borders who do proper lemon chicken (with lemon sauce)-some offer it with any sauce but lemon, weird, I know.

I was on holiday not far from Galashiels for my birthday and found that Dragon House was on Just-Eat and delivered to my area.

My sister and I tried this takeaway for the first time last week. We were served by a lovely, young lady who was polite and helpful. I ordered a beancurd (tofu) dish and chips along with chilli and garlic sauce. The food and sauce were delicious! As a veggie I was delighted to have such a flavourful dish. My sister had prawns and noodles and enjoyed them too. We only waited about ten, fifteen minutes. Great service and food. When I come down to visit my sister I will definitely come again.
