The dish I had was what I wanted, braised beef with noodles, tender beef packed with flavour, good noodle and a delicious warm broth. 11 quid something Then the bill came. 13 quid something Huh? I asked the waitress and she said vat was added to the menu price. I checked the menu...nothing said "all prices exclude VAT." I told the manager/owner that no-one does this..you include the vat and add a service charge. This is either a sneaky way to get 20% extra, a mistake or something I've never heard of. When I asked he then said it was optional. Really? If you clock up a 50 quid meal in there you're gonna get a surprise 20% surcharge as well as your tip You have been warned

Overpriced and bland. Chicken clearly reheated and not hot enough. Tip added to the bill automatically. Only positives were it was quick and quiet on a Friday evening.

Food looked nice, but it was very bland and under seasoned. Order received was incorrect to what we asked for. Soup was quite oily. They also add a tip to the bill, despite lack of customer service and uninspiring food.

Stopped by for a quick bite to eat whilst in Chinatown. The girl who served us was so sweet and food arrived fast. Clean minimalistic interior.

Food was very bland. Broth was covered with bad oil. Only plastic chop sticks were offered. We left more than half of the food but the waiter didn’t ask us why

We went to Dot Line Noodles after turning away from the disgusting lack of service at Wong Kei. Now don't be put off by the strange name, apparently the Chinese word for noodle also has other meanings including facet or side, so there is a mathematical term 'dot line facet' on which noodles here is a pun. The waiters were friendly and told us to go upstairs where we were served by a very nice young man who is a credit to the establishment. He asked if it was our first time there, which it was, and showed us the ordering method which is a laminated card on which you select with a felt pen first a broth base and type of noodles and then a topping. The service was reasonably quick and the food was excellent. We will definitely be going back to dot line noodles!

Absolutely delicious, well priced and super friendly and efficient service. Dumplings were even better than the wonderful ramen! What’s not to like…?

I have been hoping that another noodles restaurant would open up in Chinatown after the closure of Hungs in the pandemic. This is a small restaurant with about ten tables in all. There are 4 basic noodle dishes to which you can add a number of side dishes.I chose braised pork intestine. The soup was excellent. The soup though was not piping hot. Jasmine tea was a teabag in a mug. It cost £14.40 and was good value for money.Very good service.

Had the ramen with house special chicken broth with pickles, braised beef brisket, pot stewed eggs, and rice noodles. Also got a side of traditional pork dumplings in chili oil. This was the best ramen I have ever eaten. So flavorful, fresh and spicy, but not too spicy.

The food was fantastic, but the service was awful but the service was lacking. The waitress seemed handling too many tables, so we had to ask several times for water, chopsticks. Despite the great food, the inattentive service made the experience less enjoyable.

Bon bubble tea.

If you go to this place i'd highly recommend the black bean tofu. You see, it has to be done in a certain way so the flavors come out just right. i have mine with white rice.
