Great food and great customer service

I decided to move to this chinese from the ones in atherstone and This chinese is so much better food always arrives piping hot only negative I have is the egg fried rice could have a bit more egg In it but food is really good

Unfortunately we had a delivery from dordon house we had a chicken chow mein chips rice an curry sauce an for whatever reason the food is usually always really good but for a Thursday night it was terrible I was on the toilet 5mins after eating an my missus was on the toilet for most of the night this is really not good things have gone down hill with the food I'm afraid I'll not be eating here anymore shame tho used to be good when Karen was in charge.

You can watch them cook your takeaway! Tasty dishes and swift service. Peking duck was particularly good.

Beef chow mien was salty more gravy than pork and mushrooms.

Fabulous food. Took a long time to be delivered Friday night at 5 30 was an hour and half. be nice if the Cantonese king prawn were more crispy but a plentiful amount. i feel a bit pressured into giving the driver a tip but i do but why?? all in all the food is great.

Having moved to Atherstone recently from Birmingham where we had some of the best takeaways it’s taken a while but I’ve finally found a decent chinese!! Tried a couple of others and they were all absolutely tasteless. This is the second time we have used Dordon House and it’s been faultless so far. Not tried delivery so can’t comment on that but called ahead to collect and the food was ready and still piping hot when we got it home. Delish 👍🏼

Really disappointed after using this place for years. I don't mind waiting a long time for a delivery but when the quality is below par it really isnt worth it. Delivery driver has a terrible attitude.

I have just had a collection from here after seen a recommendation and it’s safe to say this is my new favourite Chinese! Fast l, friendly service and everything we ordered was delicious! Chefs special starter mix, chilli salt king prawns, Singapore chow menu and curry sauce! Solid 9/10

Best Chinese in the area, we have tried 3 or 4 different ones and found dordon house to be the best one by far, food is lovely and fresh and staff always friendly.

Just finished my meal and had to write a review. The food was amazing came in good time and was piping hot honestly me and my brother loved it will 100% be my go to from now on!

Heard this Chinese had been taken over and sorry to say the food was definitely not as good as usual, exceptionally salty to the point of not being able to taste anything else, perhaps early days and they're still settling in so will try again but not for a few months.

Absolutely shocking!! New owners and unfortunately not as good. Salt and chilli chicken was stringy, over fried and no spice. The salt and chilli chips were just a portion of chips with salt and chilli flakes, no onions, peppers or chilli like they use to so very over priced at £4 for chips and over cooked. Boiled rice was over cooked and sticky and the curry sauce was more orange. I ordered to pick up as this is usually quicker as delivery is 2 hours plus recently. Pick up was still an hour and 15. No cards just cash which isn't convenient. Very over priced and Won't be returning

They make excuses all the time for poor quality curry, this is the 3rd time now, I recommend you go somewhere else.

Been using them for years never had an issue, until tonight Curry was greasy and cold Chicken balls burnt Chips dry, burnt and cold Rice cold Sauce cold Salted chicken dry and cold. Forgot the pawn crackers Been trying to call them for the last 20minutes to complain, no answer! £33.60 in the bin.

We have been using Dordon House for over 25 years so were a little concerned when we found out it was changing hands and also after reading the last review but thought we would give the new owners the benefit of the doubt. So glad we did! Yes it took a little longer but after all, they are new guys trying to make sure the food as good as its always been…..and it was!! Just as good as ever so please be patient with the wait but support these guys, the food was amazing! Keep it up, dont change anything.

Great place for a very nice takeaway

No where near as good as previous owners in my opinion. Had 1/4 duck , hardly any duck for panckes. house spring roll full of bean sprouts hardly no other filling prawns or meat . Other dishes I had lacked flavour

Beware, it is cash only. Wok Away is a bit less greasy and also cash only. Overall not bad.

Ordered a delivery takeout. We ordered our normal order, special mixed curry (mixed selection of meat), plum duck and special fried rice. On delivery the curry was just pure sauce with two prawns in it! I rang Dordon House and explained why I was unhappy. Immediately, the person on the end of phone was extremely offensive, then put me on hold and never returned back to my call. We have used this Chinese for six years, previously the lady who took our order was courteous, friendly and we always received great food. Obviously, this place has changed hands to a extremely rude English person with kitchen staff who can't cook to placed orders!!! Will never use again. What a waste of money for a appalling meal!!!

Tried this takeaway as our nearest was closed. Its a small place tucked away from main shops. Service was friendly and fast. Food very tasty Car parking on opposite side of road. Will definately be having takeaway from them again

Best Chinese around the Tamworth area

Amazing food. Recommend collection as they are so busy deliveries can be quite a wait as the phone was going non stop whilst I was waiting for my order. Also need to say even though being incredibly busy everyone seemed really happy and gave great service!

Tried it since I have moved to the area food is OK, but not what I am used to.

Food is nice but delivery times are very poor. I was told an hour and 15 mins for delivery and it was finally delivered nearly 2 hours later.

I drive pass my local Chinese to go to Dordon House it’s my favourite takeaway the main reason for me is that Dordon House has an open kitchen which always makes the food taste nicer in my opinion, the staff are friendly and polite and if when your ordering your food tell them exactly how you want your food and they’ll have no problem doing it for you.

I've been going here for over 20 years. And even though I moved 10 miles away I still come back here. I've tried the rest but this is the BEST

Had a delivery once. The driver ate some of my ribs. They refused to believe me over the phone so had to take it back to them for them to hurl abuse at me and refuse to believe again. The look on the drivers face once i had took it back said it all. Never went again and would advice not to go here!
