Dong Dong Chinese Takeaway in Newry and Mourne

Had Ka's for the first time in a long time just before new year and happy to report it is still one of the best Chinese takeaways in town. I was very sad to find out though that they'd done away with the Jumbo sized chicken and cheese rolls they did a few years ago 😢 they were fab and the ones they do now pale in comparison. The munchie box though was very tasty and the selection of goodies on hand were great value for money. I especially enjoyed the onion rings which were nice and crispy, as well as delicious with the curry sauce. Ka's come strongly recommended, but please bring back the Jumbo chicken and cheese rolls🙃

It's usually perfect but I order deliver tonight it arrived 11.25..by the time I opened it realising part of my order was missing. No one would answer the phone as they close on Wednesday at 11.30

Good food. Very busy and the price of a chicken curry,fried rice and a chip has went up by nearly a pound. But most places have had to increase their prices

Hard to beat curry and noodles are unreal

Beautiful food kiera efficient.

Salt and Chilli chicken was way too spicy,overcooked and stiff. Noodles were also spicy too when they are supposed to be plain with just beansprouts. Chicken balls and curry sauce were the most decent things to eat. For the money it was a disappointment we didn’t end up eating much and most of it ended up in the bin. Will definitely not be eating from here again.

Rude girls at the counter. Walked in and they were swearing, shouting, complaining that the work isn't good. Stood there for good 10 min before they finished their chat and I could order my food. It's a shame I wouldn't be coming back...

The food is cheaper than most chineses in newry and the portions are very big. However is that really worth it when the food is as bad as this places?

I have ordered food fro dong dongs before, and I do find it a hit or miss with the quality of food standards. Although the lady that works behind the counter is v friendly, I have never understood why, staff have never taken water and a sponge to the front door etc and gave it all a very overdue clean. On the food side of things, I had the misfortune of deciding to treat myself and daughter to a carry out on Friday 24th July 2015 at around 6.00 pm. I ordered fried rice, chips and beef curry. The rice was sooo dark brown with oil and to my disgust and horror, the beef was smelling bit nasty and strange colour, so I took it out of the curry sauce to discover, a piece of WIRE!!!!!!! What if My 8 yr old or I had eaten this?! Or choked more to the point. M. Rea Newry

I had ordered Chicken Balls from this restaurant and after biting into it, I was sickened to find blood in the middle, clearly under cooked. If I had of consumed it I could have been seriously ill. Will never eat here again and would advise others to stay clear aswell.

I got meal; honey chilli chicken in wine sauce.... i got no sauce what so ever, it was hard as a rock and it looked like chinese ribs, im soooo annoyed at this, never...ever again will i order out of (dong dong chinese)... absolutely crap worst chinese ever ......

Worst chinese in town. Ordered food from here and When i received the food it was very very poor quality, tasted of metal and was that overcooked it was physically impossible to eat. I contacted Dong Dong to explain about the quality of the food and they just said thats how it is.

Been here a few times. Nice staff but food just average. But for Newry Chinese places average is good. Prices same as elsewhere.

i love dong dong take away. the service is great with a very pleasant and quick local delivery driver. chicken fried rice is to die for! everything ive had out of it has been 1st class. I go here quite a lot.
