The garlic sauce is to watery and chips are not nice

Normally a go to place for me. This time both me and my son are ill. Now removed from the list of go to places unfortunately.

Started ordering from here 3 years a go. Started off brilliant. Consistency was brilliant and food was getting delivered piping hot. Last few orders a few hiccups are getting made and it doesn't taste as good as it used to. The last time I ordered from here, I ordered a margarita for the kids. It was burnt so most of it went to waste. The staff will have seen the state of the pizza but just boxed it up and sold it. If i can find a way to the post a photo of the photo, I will upload it

Ordered from here many time as its local, cheap, and the food is ok. But tonight I ordered a chicken parmo and wow, it was the worst I’ve ever had. I made my own for the first time last week which were poor, and there were far better than what I had served to me tonight. The parmo was about 1cm thick, the bech tasted like it had loads of lumps in it. And cheese is cheese. Luckily I had a garlic dip in the fridge to disguise the terrible taste. All I could say is pay the extra few quid and go to Paul’s where you’ll get a far bigger parmo that’ll do 2 people

Beautiful takeaway never had a problem with food the only issue I have is garlic sauce has consistency of water and nit very nice if this was changed would be perfect takeaway

Food is so nice I've been to loads of different takeaways in my time the food i ordered was lovely nice kebab garlic is spot on pizzas are very nice too will be using this shop from now on

Actually surprising how decent there pizzas are on a Good day , generous with there toppings also and they use fresh meat not processed its one of the best pizzas in teeside and extremely fair priced also

This must be the coldest place in Thornaby. It was freezing. I've never known anything like it. A freezing cold pizza shop. I had to go outside to warm up. The young lad shouting orders was ignorant and just ignored me at the counter. The lad who served me was spot on. And the food was decent. Had to pick up cos waiting time was ridiculous

had food a few times from here and not been disappointed, had a little mix up tonight but was resolved efficiently and quickly. would recommend 🙂🙂

100% recommend this shop fast delivery food is spot on there has been the odd mistake by the order taker but the food never fails, price is good too, once for quickness tried fellows on Westbury which had me and hubby inbed with severe diarrhea, also delivery is quick and food always hot

Freshly baked pizza, all prepared in front of you. Very clean environment, staff polite and hygienic. No delays , collection always ready on time.

10/10 no complaints. Parmo burger beautiful and the pizza (lamb special) I had was the best pizza I've eaten in Stockton and middlesbrough

Very quick delivery, food was still piping hot. Everything we ordered was delicious and fresh and the prices are very good. I will definitely use again and would certainly recommend to others.

Avoid this place if you have any allergies. Specifically mentioned what salad to have on the food, litterly watched the guy put the wrong salad on including the ones stated allergic too, then he realised and took it to the side to pick thr tomato and onions off and then put the fresh salad on top!

My favoutive place for a hot shot parmo burger and pizzas. Service is great and the quality of the food is amazing. The food is either always good or better. Very high standards and very clean joint.

Food Quality Assessment (Size, Pricing, Hygiene) Small parmesan is at reasonable size at cheaper price (£5.70) compared to other parmesan shops in the local vicinity. The bechamel sauce can be a bit too much on the top leaving not much battered chicken. The standard of the parmesan taste is defintely at a very good quality standard and consistency in delivering to that is a must. It's last inspection was reported to be 25th February 2021 (5 out of 5 stars). As a food critic, having reviewed and sampled more than 20 places in the Middlesbough and Newcastle regions, this is one of the best shops for its parmesans and good quality pizzas of its pricing. The "Special" on the menu can be disappointing due to the small size of portions and not to the same level standard in taste compared to other places (i.e. Scampi and Chicken Nuggets). The excess chips and salad are mainly served alongside these dishes. The Chicken Nuggets could be standalone, improved and larger in size. However, this option is not seen on the menu. The taste of the chicken is mainly fresh, the texture and the chicken is different to that from other places in how it is prepared. It is noticable and could be room for improvement. The kebabs are consistent in preparation to a lot of fast food stores. Delivery Assessment (Handling, Delivery Time, Experience) The delivery of the food is fast and they take the initiative to deliver the food without delay. The food has been bagged and handled appropriately. Well done. Overall I am rating this shop 5 out of 5 stars based on the quality of its parmesan and pizzas with its pricing around the vicinity. However, there are rooms for improvements to its parmesan as other places excel at using better quality chicken and ingredients but not at the preparation and approach to how it is cooked. Not nice ordered 2 mix kebabs salad seperate everything came individually wrapped in paper including the salad after i asked for to be in a tray then charged me for the tray but down to the food just horrible jelly like chicken one chared black piece of lamb i dont bo why they call thereselves a grill because they dont have a grill they use the same machine the cook pizza with to cook the meat dont recommended whatsoever have a funny feeling gunna be on the toilet alot tomorrow

Been a few times now, got to say it's exceptional! Piping hot, lovely and fresh, tasty, etc. etc. Well done guys. Another huge thing for me is the place is spotless and scores on the doors of 5 speaks volumes. Give it a go coz you won't be disappointed!

Pepperoni is a bit bland but all else is good.

First time ordering. Chicken is like rubber, garlic sauce is like water and tastes sweet, chips taste like soggy card board, cheesy garlic bread tastes strange and the delivery driver left the gate wide open never again! dont waste your money.

Parmos are beautiful, thin and crispy , nice brown cheese, gorgeous white sauce, definitely the best place I've had a parmo from in years, chip portions are a little small but they are very nice, the tubs of sauces are huge aswell, would definitely recommend this place

Customer service was very good and have always been very comfortable within the store. Also the kebab is probably the best I've had in the area from a takeaway.

Still the best pizza shop in Thornaby! Prices are still competitive, food quality is always consistently to a high standard and delivery always on time, if not early. The pizza deals are good and the freebies very welcome. Highly recommended of you're looking for some quality fast food.

We ordered the cheese burger and fungi Parmesan the food was hot and delicious especially the Parmesan! Definitely one of the best parmesans I have had to date. My wife enjoyed her cheese burger very much. Delivery was very quick, the delivery guy was professional and polite. I would definitely recommend to others and will definitely order from Donatello’s again soon! I hope to see allergy information including ingredients added to the website as this would be helpful.

pizza donor base very thick and doughy covered in salad that took away all flavours. did not recieve chips with my parmasan.It was my first time delivery ,will not bother again and i so much wantecd to injoy it.

Ordered from here for the first time last night and we were more than happy. We have been looking for a good pizza delivery service around Ingleby for months and are very happy to have found Donatello's. The pizzas were very nice and the garlic sauce is fantastic and such a generous size as well. The delivery driver was so polite too, definitely found our new go to place and will be recommending to family and friends. (Will there be a website to make card payments in the future as that would be a bonus?) Thanks again

Didn't like it....just kidding. Parmo looked a bit thin at first but it was actually a 5 star parmo. I had the hotshot and the Mrs had the standard. Was a half/half parmo.

Wouldn’t waste your money no different to any others already around portion sizes are ridiculous we got one piece of chicken and one piece of shish and the smallest amount of donnerin a soggy pitta bread as a mixed kebab ,and chips were sloppy too we got about 6 chilli peppers for £1.30 chilli sauces are half empty and the the chicken on the parmo is very bouncy very suspect indeed. The other reviewer above mine is either the or was drunk , won’t be getting no more of my money
