Nice old style pub. Cheap selection of drinks and had a great atmosphere with the foorball on. Staff and locals were really friendly.

Came in and wanted to use the toilet before buying a drink. Bar staff were very rude and shouted at us as we came in . Said we were going to buy drinks after. When we went to the bar, no apologies received. Really rude and unnecessary. We ended up staying for a drink to prove a point but had no intention of staying longer or returning

Good British pub with good beer and good music. Wasn’t too loud though so we could talk to each other too.

Louise and her staff are brilliant! This pub is so friendly the staff and customers, I had a top night in there talking to the locals and joining in the Fab karaoke, I was only popping in for a quick pint but ended up staying all night and even called in next day to watch the football! Highly recommended

A fantastic place to frequent, the new manager has truly made a significant impact. All the staff are knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. Entertainment is also really great, all in all, a fantastic, friendly, welcoming venue.

Great happy friendly staff, new landlady is especially brilliant. Always a great pint of Guinness, lines always seem clean , great to catch the sports with many tvs showing different sports . Proper pub

This pub is to be avoided at all times ,seats are atrocious and neglected,toilets not to clever,could be a nice bar if it was shown some TLC .

Came in on Friday. To meet up with friends. I went to the bar and was shouted at by the female bar staff, I only said, that lady is before me! I was so shocked the 2 gentleman at the side of myself where stunned. Absolutely disgusted. Youngest one on with nasty attitude and glasses on.

Absolutely freezing, what few was there, they where all sat with coats on, my feet, nose and hands was frozen, I only come out once a week but not to sit in the cold, I had I drink and left, went to the dutton's which was lovely and warm, won't be in dog until warmer weather

This visit was in Sept 2024, mid week. The pub lies around 200 metres off the sea front and easy to find. The entrance is not at street level, as long as you can manage a step or two, you're fine. The bar is well stocked but is a local pub and not a tourist pub. The staff are efficient and next to no waiting time. I have no issues with beers and enjoyed a pint or two. They have offers on and when I called, you could get a pint (Carlsberg or John Smith) for a little over £2 !! The décor is, olde world, coronation/WW2 style and fixtures and fittings showing more than average wear and tear. Toilets are a little behind the times and need a full refurbish as these also resemble the London underground wall tiles from 1940. They do provide some kind of entertainment and on the afternoon I visited it was - sorry to be blunt - diabolical. At first we thought it was Karaoke which turned out to be a singer. It was so loud the walls shook in this small pub. There was no escape and there were a few complaints, as such, people left. There are multiple large TV's (not HD quality), a pool table (unable to play due to locals hogging it), a dart board and really resembled a workman's club from 1980. Not everyone's cup of tea but for the drinks price, worth a visit.

Great pub been a local of mine 4 years and the person in charge right now brings alot more to the pub in last month than it's had for a while hope the person in charge right now becomes a permanent thing

So since Louise has taken over this place has gone up massively in atmosphere attendance and all together is such a great place to visit and spend time love it here

Pop in for a drink before the football game on Saturday, great service from the lovely girls on the bar, added bonus £2 a pint of Carlsberg. That good we returned after the match

Me and my partner went in to the D&P for drinks the other day. Brilliant service, very friendly and helpful. I wasn't sure what I wanted but the bar staff were patient and took the time to assist. Thank you 😊

Disgusting woman serving, refused a pregnant woman the toilet and laughed at her as she left. She clearly took great delight in being cruel. Stay way from this dive at all costs

Walked in to the pub today with my friend. The younger lady behind the bar looked us up and down and told us to get out because we are under 18. No asking for ID prior to this, extremely rude and threatening environment. Oh, and I am 24. Clearly we did not tick the right boxes to be welcome in this pub as the rest of the clientele were men in their 60s.

It's a man's pub. No food or children allowed. But staff nice, beer and gin very cheap. Sports screens everywhere. Enjoyed my drink with my husband. Toilet clean

I booked a table online on the Greene King app for the Euro 2024 final & paid £10 deposit, when we got there they hadn't got the booking or our deposit, luckily the Landlady Sarah still managed to sort us out a table & advised how to get our deposit back. Greene King please leave the pub staff to sort out their affairs & run the pub how it should be ran

My wife and I visited the Dog & Partridge while in Blackpool on a short break. I think I have to mention the two ladies who were working the bar, the night we visited. Both were outstanding members of staff. The owner/manager should be very proud of them. Polite, friendly and constantly cleaning as they worked. Visited with my son. Dad and lad bank holiday weekend getaway. Best few pints I had all weekend, and I had quite a few. The barmaid/ landlady was on the ball, pleasant and very friendly. The pub itself is fantastic, old school, but spotlessly clean. I know they don't serve food, but I would have loved a cheese and ham toastie to go with the excellent drinks.

Popped in this pub for a pint and pleasantly surprised by how friendly it is. Bar staff made you feel welcomed and was served with a lovely smile. Pub was fairly busy and punters were friendly to. Will definitely visit this pub again.

Always a great time had in the dog, with it's 9ft Snooker table in the back, all sporting events shown, cheap drinks especially on match days and a beer garden, could you really ask for more.

Good old boozer called in today before going to the football. Good pint of boddingtons plenty of teles to watch the football and racing. I'd have given you a five if from the outside you'd looked open. If it wasn't for a person coming out the door we would have walked past.

When visiting the Dog and Partridge the pub is always clean and tidy, there is an excellent atmosphere and a wide range of good value beers to choose from, the staff are always helpful and polite. It really annoys me when I read reviews that are negative about this pub, they are just small minded people who choose to write a false review because they do not serve food or allow anyone under the age of 18 on the premises.

A good drinkers pub, plenty of sport on numerous screens but no volume, however very good background music and a excellent variety of ales and lagers. Very pleasant landlady with a good sense of humour.

Been in tonight for a Darts Cup Match. I'm from the opposing team. The staff Lauren and Julie were nothing but exemplary. Absolutely great service from both and I'll definitely be back in again.

We had a brilliant Saturday night thanks to the karaoke, decent beer, great bar staff and friendly people. Definitely recommend it. Not expensive beer either. Got to mention Lauren and Julie who served us all night. Hope I remembered your names - we were there the Saturday of the air show and stood near the bar all evening, 2 lagers with a lemonade top ! I was sat quite comfortably watching TV by the dart board but as the locals came in I was put in the situation that I had to move these people seems to think that they own that table there are a load of people that congregate around this table that it makes it hard to get to the toilets and the smoking area it's about time that the staff took control and reduce the amount of people that stand in this area I like having a point there but if this continues I will stop going

Had a fantastic time at the dog and partridge. A bunch of us from London came to Blackpool and found this gem of a pub. Friendly atmosphere with proper locals and Sammie behind the bar really made us all feel at home. Definitely recommend this to anyone up in Blackpool for their holidays.

I came here years ago and had such a terrible experience I never came back. Wow, what a change. Bloody fantastic beer, brilliant food, top tier service. The renovations look absolutely lovely. A completely different pub.

Darren served us all night long and was so polite as well as even remembering our order. Unfortunately I didn’t have change to tip but if I did I would have! Lovely member of staff and a friendly face you wouldn’t forget!

We popped in the Dog and Partridge for a drink, as usual the customer service was excellent thanks to Lauren and Caz. It was lovely and clean and they were constantly cleaning tables and keeping on top of everything. It’s quite rare nowadays to get good customer service, you’re lucky if you get a smile! So thank you Lauren and Caz keep up the good work and we will be back.

Had a few days in Blackpool with friends. Called into this great pub each day. Lovely welcome from all bar staff each day. Locals were so friendly and had some real laughs etc. Beer spot on and great price. Cracking Snooker table too. Thoroughly recommend....
