Such a cute place! Come here every so often and it's my favourite place to eat, cosy atmosphere too!! Staff are friendly, inside is clean, a large array of food to choose from, very happy! :3

My favourite food place in mcr!

Food was okay but I would love it more if my wontons came a bit spicier, luckily they had chilli oil on every table. The pork dumplings were good but towards the end it turned a bit too salty to eat. The bao was fluffy and nice. Convenient place to have warm food especially on a cold and rainy day.

I chose the Cross Bridge Rice Noodles. The food is large and tastes good👌

Tasty food and sweet servers. Don’t walk past it just because it’s in Piccadilly Gardens! There’s great choice for good prices and you get a lot of food that’s tasty. If you’re stuck for choice try this out! I liked the vegetarian tofu rice noodle soup. Lots of veggie options!

One of the worst Chinese restaurants in Manchester. The food is featureless and expensive. A serving of Sin Chew Rice Noodles that is no different from a takeaway shop costs more than 12 pounds. How dare you. The kitchen staff don’t look professional. How can a restaurant do this? There are no toilets. I really don’t know how you have been able to stay in the heart of Manchester for so long. You can’t even order food at your seat. There are no waiters. What kind of restaurant are you? There will never be a next time.

Noodles were excellent, but we were given things that we didn’t order, and never received the food that we did order. Over, chaotic.

Went in for the lunch time special £10.50 for food amd drink. Had the beef curry with rice. Beef was tender and plenty of it, also had duck wings on the side. No table service, you pay and order at the account. Place was clean and tidy

good wonton, a clear broth with good depth of flavour. Noodles are normal quality. Free condiments (chili oil, vinegar) goes well with the soup. Relatively overpriced. Will come back only if convenient.

My friend suggested to come here for dinner since she's been here before. Good choice! I ordered Beef Brisket with rice (牛腩飯) for £12.30 which is a reasonable city centre price. You order at the counter. The food came quickly yet still hot in temperature. Generous portion. The beef was tender and the sauce was delicious but not enough for my rice. This place reminded me of a Chinese style canteen where it's common to serve the main dish and side (rice) on one plate also known as Gaifan / 碟頭飯 in Cantonese. Only thing missing was a bowl of soup, then that's a proper Chinese canteen. Overall, positive experience and would highly recommend this place for simple Chinese food outside of Chinatown yet still within city centre. Definitely will visit again.

The first time I came to the restaurant and I was very excited thinking about my favorite noodle dish. But when I received the bowl of noodles, I ate it and couldn't swallow it. 叉燒 is replaced by salty and cheap Bacon

The food in here are amazing!!! I love them sooooo much! The beef ramen and SiChuan dandan noodles really delicious. Me and my friends finished them all you know. Anyway if you pass by this restaurant, DO NOT hesitate just come in and try. Chinese people never let you down😋

We visited in the late evening so got a table very easily. I ordered the bacon ramen with spring onions and it was absolutely amazing. Very good price for what you get. I struggle to believe the reviews about bad service because the people we spoke to were very welcoming, especially the lady who brought the menus over. I'll be going again that's for sure.

Food was unreal. I thoroughly enjoyed the chicken katsu with rice and teriyaki sauce. I shared a few gyoza with my mother and the chicken katsu was generously large. The customer service was great with them being helpful and the food was served promptly. Overall for 2 people we ate well for £9 each. Great Place.

You know when you go to an Asian place where there is a baby behind the counter and the customer service is terrible, it means that the food slaps?? Well not in this case. When I walked up to place my order, the ruder the server was being to me the more I wanted to order. They do have a large menu with not many recommendations from the team “everything tastes good” was the response I received. The char siu was flavourless and quite tough to be honest. There was no real depth of flavour for the broth it was just like the chicken broth from Tesco that you can buy in a packet. To top this off they sprinkles from coriander. The noodles were fine in themself. I order the beef with cheese and the cheese was still cold on the inside. Good location but overall unsatisfactory experience. Proceed with caution my dear friends.

If you are in a rush this is your place. Not a great deal size/money also quite normal quality. But if you like Asian food created in a franchise restaurant it's OK.

very cute place with tasty food. A lot to choose from. We order 4 dishes and in 15-20 min everything was ready. Very tasty! Definitely recommend. Ramen was very good, a lot of meat and noodles was so tasty, gyozas was very nice and with a bit of soup inside! Perfect.( payed nearly 45 pounds for everything and 1 drink)

For the first time ever i went to eat in this place and was not disappointed by the food and the service it was raining that day and the warm ramen and the broth they served just made my day.would recommend it to any one who is looking forward to have a nice broth ramen

Quick bite to eat. Not much better than your local Chinese takeaway. Very average.

Roast pork noodle was bad, pork slices were tough, soup was plain, not rich at all and not tasty. Curry sauce deep fried pork chop with boiled rice, curry sauce was plain and not rich, it just liked mixing MSG with little curry power. Both were not worth the money.

Not bad of a place, affordable with friendly staff but the food is average and mostly frozen. The char siu in the udon soup was tasty but slightly overcooked. Catsu curry was pretty bland and the chichen tough. Dumplings and siu mai taste like frozen and very bland. The decor is nice with a chilled atmosphere but no air conditioning. The best thing is they don't charge for chilli oil as it's already at your table. Not bad for around £45 for 2 meals, 1 starter and 2 drinks for 3 people.

Do Eat should be celebrated more as part of China Town Manchester because it is top-tier East Asian Eatery I frequent, even more than Happy Seasons (a favourite) sometimes.

Great place for tasty soups, didn't try the noodle so can't comment. However it is all from the same soup base/stock with just different choices in noodles and ingredients to add to the taste. And they are all very yummy. Quick and pleasant service, bizarrely every soup dish is £11.80, so there you go. You know what it will cost already 😉

I have been visiting this place for over 1 year, once or twice per week, sometimes more frequently and have never had food poisonings at this establishment as someone else has recently suggested happened to them, The staff are always courteous and friendly, great food, Ramen and smashed cucumber is probably my favourite dish, Always clean and tidy.

Had chicken katsu and pork noodles, really tasteless food. Chicken was cheap tasting and overdone, katsu curry sauce was both plain and minimal (for the abundance of chicken). Chilli oil was not spicy and didn't taste of anything (like the soy sauce) pork was so tough had a 'off' taste and smell the tasteless soup came with nothing else no veg or anything just spring onions and bit of coriander. Tried adding soy sauce but i think that was watered down . I just dont understand how you can produce such low standard of food. If you cant serve decent curry just get the curry blocks from asian supermarkets. Only good thing is comfortable seating and lady taking orders was nice.

Paid 14.8 quid for the unagi udon. So little unagi portion with a lot of rice. Not worth the money at all

Ramen was plain noodles with broth with few sprig onions and hard to chew tastless pork, salt n pepper chicken wings were covered in tasteless batter where the onions fried that went with the chicken tasted so much better than chicken itself, pork belly was nice but mixed with potatoes so it looks like you've got a deal with amount of meat but it actually just half of it is potatoe, dumplings were nice if you added soy sauce and spring rolls leaked grease once you bite down. Even though we ordered starters and main, it all comes once its cooked so got main first then the starters. Most tastless food we have eaten in a while. Best things about this meal for £6 bottled ice tea to wash away £55 we will never see again

The vegetable spring rolls were a nice addition to the meal and had my stomach completely filled! The staff were really friendly too and I would definitely come again soon. Loved the food. We share egg fried rice (GREAT taste), noodles and chicken teriyaki, it was all delicious. Also, the place is spotless.

Lamb tasted like tripe just lamb sinew no meat... We ordered the sliced lamb soup was nice to start but got boried of the taste and texture we both left most of it. Plus side was the side dishes.. For the price of the soup there needs to be meat added

Best dandan mien in Manchester. This is what got me through the winter. If you like it spicy with a bit of mala in it, I highly recommend this dish. Do eat Manchester is also vegetarian and vegan friendly.

Manchester City Centre Before a meeting in Manchester town centre, I had a quick lunch in @do_eat_mcr which located near Piccadilly Gardens. @do_eat_mcr 📍Unit B1, city tower, Mosley St, Manchester M1 4AH WHAT I GOT 🥟Fuzhou Wonton 🥟Vegetable Gyoza Fuzhou Wonton is a classic Fujianese dish. Silky thin wonton skin simply wrapped with minced pork. The price was very reasonable with £8.80 for 10 pieces. Bite size wonton was flavourful and delicious 😋😋😋 How’s the gyoza? See my next post on Instagram @ccgyozalober for details 🤗 @do_eat_mcr is located in city centre shopping area and Chinatown is just few mins away. It’s a perfect place to have a quick tasty meal before or after your shopping.

One star for their clean washroom. The food is very disappointing though. Cheap rice with funny smell, and chicken lack of seasoning. In fact, felt insulted seeing oriental food being introduced this way to the Western market. £10 for what it shows on the photo, not worthy at all.
