Great crowd. Great staff. Probably the best coffee in the area. Always go for the guest roast it's well worth it, lovely and smooth.

Had gone for brunch. Ordered poached eggs dish. It took 45 minutes delivered with an offhand “sorry but we’ve got a lot of orders’ even though there were three tables in. It not only looked awful, the poached eggs were solid. Very disappointing, and with so much choice on the nice little high street, they’ll need to improve. No wonder there was a queue at a nearby cafe.

Went to Dinisi for a coffee this morning, and decided to also order pancakes with butter & jam. We were charged £21 for 2 flat white coffees and 2 portions of pancakes!!!!. I queried the cost of the pancakes, as I thought I had been overcharged, but it turns out that they charge £6.95 for a portion of pancakes, which consists of 2 basic pancakes!!!! It's a total rip off, and I don't know how they can justify charging these prices. Needless to say, I will not be going back!!!

- went in for lunch and we ordered tuna baked potato & salad. Also, nachos. - both baked potatoes had burnt black skins on the outside, inside they were brown & dry. - called waitress and told her that the potatoes were not fresh. Indignantly, her response was "oohh but they are, I baked them myself yesterday" - unbelievable - so she must have burnt them today when re-heating them! - the salad that came with this was a pile of lettuce with 1 baby tomato halved. - nachos - inedible ! The cheese tasted off and the salsa was sour. - the attitude of the waitress was passive aggressive. - this was the height of lunch time, during a Easter holiday break and the place was empty - now I know why ! Why don't businesses realise, that if they are going to give their customers stale, reheated food with a staff having a disrespectful attitude, they are going to have a restaurant full of empty chairs.

We really try to support local coffee shops rather than the chains, but this is where it sometimes doesn’t work… the big chains have stringent quality controls over the produce sold. We tried Dnisi for a coffee and a scone. The three stars are for the coffee only - it was very good. The loss of two stars is simply because we could have used the scones to fill potholes on the raid. They were so overcooked they had a crust making them difficult to eat. We really should have sent them back to be honest.

Visited midweek, only one member of staff when we arrived behind counter who was busy so we waited at wait to be seated sign for 10mins just to be told “just sit anywhere”. No menus on table and couldn’t see food menu on the boards behind counter nor could we walk up to the counter to look as there was a queue of people waiting. Queued for another 10/15mins and ordered 3 toasties. Sweet potato fries were soft and lukewarm at best, toasties were just two pieces toast with a filling. I quite literally wished I had bought some ingredients and done it at home. How can you get toasties wrong? Incredibly poor value for money, there is a clear lack of staff and I’d suggest some investment in a half decent toastie machine. Wouldn’t recommend and definitely won’t be back.

We went here to try it and see what it was like. Their motto seems to revolve around "do you want food quick or do you want food cooked/edible"...and they choose quick over quality. It was a mistake I wish we had waited in the queue at Alessios instead. Seems theres a good reason noone was queuing to get in here. Husband ordered a pastrami ciabatta which came with sweet potato fries. It arrived with some rather sad looking fries, that were clearly had been sitting for a while and were cold. The ciabatta was ok, edible but not great. I ordered loaded potato wedges- which didn't arrived until 5-10 mins after the ciabatta. Sadly, these were the worst thing I think I've had in a cafe. They were soaked in oil (and this wasn't grease from the iffy cheese on them) and uncooked. I'm not a fan of raw, but somehow soggy at the same time, potato. The latte looked good but the coffee tasted like water. No check back was done, attempted to get waitresses attention a few times as she cleaned 2 tables near us but on one occasion she simply looked the other way. The lady taking my order was lovely and pleasant, the other lady not so much- when the first lady was asking what dip I would like the other one barked how there was only ketchup or honey mustard which seemed unnecessary. Oh and the ketchup dip was one sad sachet of ketchup which did make me laugh. Funnily enough despite ignoring our existence while in the cafe, both waitresses said a goodbye as we left...so they did see us in there... Avoid and go elsewhere, I popped to the next again cafe and got some tasty lentil soup to eat after we left. The only thing I'd recommend from here was the bottle of cola I had, oh and not going to this cafe at all.

As usual, the lid of the cup is incapable of being securely fastened enough to actually withstand the slightest of movements. In this case, when I got to my partner's car and we set off, the first bump in the road caused the lid to pop off, spilling SCALDING(!!!!!!!!!!) hot soup on my hand and thighs. I've been left with second degree burns due to this incident, and I was wearing jeans when it happened!I tried to contact them through their website, but as of a week later, I still have received no reply, so tripadvisor is my only option.I realise the staff mention that the soup is hot when you buy it, but if they are going to serve soup that is hot enough to scar me for life then perhaps they should invest in some cups that are actually equipped to contain it!!

I'm a regular visitor to this cafe and almost always have a large cappuccino and Royal scone. While I cannot fault the quality of both, their prices have steadily increased over the past year or so to the point where they are now as expensive as Costa lot and Mega bucks. Why? While I appreciate they have overheads, the trade cost to produce a cup of coffee is still extremely low. They are in real danger of losing custom. 4p change from £10 for two coffees & scones had become a bit OTT. I will certainly not stop going but now not as often.

Recently visited at 11.35 am and asked for toast and tea but was refused as toast is a breakfast item. I said ok I will just have tea and was told, ok, suit yourself. I then decided to have a coffee and when it was brought to the table it was lukewarm and had spilled onto the saucer and over the sides. Sloppy service, poor attitude and very expensive for a coffee in a basic cafe.

This is a lovely wee friendly café where everything is home made. The coffees are lovely but pricey, (I know cheaper than Cost-a-lot or Megabucks but seriously). The scones are the best, my fav fruit or royal. It is expensive as it's still a café but for a treat worth it.

I've been going to D'nisis for several years and can highly recommend their freshly baked scones especially their Royal variety. I'm particular partial to scones so wherever I go, I tend to try the scones on offer. These are by far the best I've had ( and I've tried many)They can be exceptionally busy at times so you sometimes have to wait but I don't mind as it's usually worthwhile.BTW, the coffee is also excellent!!

I use this coffee shop every day and the service is always second to none. Staff are very friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for them. As for the food, the baked potatoes are amazing, as well as the paninis and the great variety of cakes. I would recommend this place to anyone

I have eaten here once or twice before and it has always been great, but today's visit was a quick coffee. There is nothing better than the sound of a coffee grinder having ordered a coffee. It was freshly ground and served perfectly. But what makes the coffee perfect is the surroundings and the service. Great atmosphere generated by friendly staff and suitable music. It was also fun to see the banter between the staff and regular customers which made me think.....I want to be a regular! So D'inisi...I'll be back!

I visited this place again mid morning on 19 June 2015, when I was meeting some colleagues.Counter service was slow as ever, why do they always seem to be training a new cashier when I come in, my bad luck perhaps? However, unlike previous visits, table service was just as slow and my cappuccino was served barely luke warm. On another day it most certainly would have gone back but on this occasion I was pressed for time and given how long it had taken to be served in the first place I didn't want to risk getting no coffee at all, or it being served when it was time to leave.I get the impression that D'nisi is a victim of its own success and simply can't keep up their standards.I also note that whilst the last four "5 star" reviews have drawn exactly the same approving comments from management, my own previous "average" review did not merit a response either here or by email (they have my address from their card scheme).

What a lovely find this cafe was. The staff are fabulous and super friendly. The food is fantastic - fresh, generous servings and very tasty. The coffee is great and they serve award winning scones - what more could you want! I would highly recommend this cafe and would visit again if we were in the area!

I have stopped here twice recently for a lunchtime cappuccino and a bite to eat. The first time I had my coffee with an interesting large coconut scone and last weekend a delicious if slightly small flapjack. Both times my bill was £4.50 which I think is a bit pricey for a small town coffee shop. Also the price list for the scones and cakes is not on show behind the counter nor are there prices posted beside the individual delicacies (as you would find in the major chain coffee shops) which may well be illegal. There is a very small price list stuck to the display cabinet so low that literally you have to kneel down to see it.It is quite crowded both inside and on the pavement outside; to the extent that a small dog got stood on, to the annoyance of the dog and the person who stood on it. The owner seemed less concerned. The staff are friendly but on my most recent visit counter service was extremely slow although the coffee and flapjack were delivered to my table quite quickly.Wifi is an added bonus. They also have a loyalty card but I was somewhat put out that they refused to credit my purchase on the day I took the card and I have no idea what I might get for my loyalty, a free coffee or scone perhaps? This place should merit 4 or 5 stars but the service and price issues highlighted above mean that I cannot award it more than 3 stars.

Stopped here for lunch prior to walking part of the Strathkelvin railway path. Had never been to Kirkintilloch before and chose here as it seemed busy. Plenty of tables including more in the rear of the cafe.Great menu, reasonably priced with friendly staff. We had soup and sandwich combo which was delicious. It was so nice that we returned for an afternoon coffee after our walk. Mouthwatering selection of scones, I had the cheese and chilli which was delicious and loads of lovely cakes. Great choice!!!

I stumbled across D'nisi whilst my car was in the garage getting repaired and had an hour or two to spare. I had the tomato and roasted pepper soup which was very tasty and then had a latte and raspberry and coconut scone with clotted cream and it was delicious. Staff were very attentive and pleasant and made a stranger feel very welcome. As I do not come from the area, would certainly recommend D'nisi to family and friends and will certainly be visiting if I am ever in the area again!

I stopped in here late last month but just getting around to reviewing it. This place was great for stopping in for a coffee with friends. It's small, service is reasonably really fast but for what you get, waiting the extra 5 mins for your drink does not fuss me. Thank you.

I popped in for a take away for lunch, I waited 30 minutes for a baked potato & a latte. I got back to the office & what I'd ordered wasn't in the box, it was missing the coleslaw, the crayfish filling was tasty although the baked potato although very warm was extremely small & the latte cold!

this isn’t a big fancy review, i never usually order much but i do order here a lot, the food and service is amazing, the atmosphere is great and you’ll probably get a good laugh while you wait for your food, and on the topic of the food, i haven’t ordered something i haven’t enjoyed, everything i’ve ever eaten out of here has been some of the greatest food i’ve ever eaten, i definitely recommend ordering from here if you haven’t.

A very good shop, me and my family in milingavie have been coming here for years now, cheap prices, helpful staff and very kind aswell. Everything you need is there from: Toilet paper, potato scones, hash browns, fairy liquid, cookies, cake, wipes, sausages, bread, pizza, milk, nappies, Costa and more! Speaking of Costa, this Tesco in milingavie (pronounced Mill-guy) has a Costa coffee of its own, you can buy lunch l, like sandwiches wraps, and buy coffees, hot chocolate, tea's and biscuits. They also have a library wich all you have to do is donate a small amount of money, say 50p and you can have any book you want from that library. In conclusion this Tesco is very good and I would recommend it to any one who loves Tesco.
