Dixy Chicken in Middlesbrough was a complete letdown. My experience there was nothing short of terrible. The food was cold ,tasted stale and uncleaned. The chicken was not cleaned properly it was having feathers and skin with hair soggy and greasy. The hygiene standards were appalling, with dirty tables and floors that hadn’t been cleaned in what seemed like ages. The staff were unprofessional and rude, showing no interest in providing decent service. To top it off, my order was messed up, and when I pointed it out, the staff seemed indifferent and didn’t bother correcting it. I would not recommend this place to anyone. It was an all-around bad experience, and I won’t be going back. Save your money and go somewhere else.

For £7.99 what a bargain! The 5 wings are the biggest on Linthorpe road , the sauce is tasty I got mild but had lots of flavour . Naad served us and was really friendly .the chicken is grilled not fried , this meal was filling and tasty. The chilli and garlic sauces are nice also

Don’t bother with this place, plus the parking around the corner on Granville Road is off-street private parking with unclear signs and they’ll fine you £90 upto 6 months later, with pictures from the cameras they’ve got set up across the street at Spice King store. Food disgusting! Service is horrendous and takes forever, especially shocking wait time when they serve cold food. Might as well call themselves Greggs serving up cold food! Customer seating area looks like it ain’t been cleaned for a while, but management will reply and probably say it’s cleaned regularly (must be dreaming).

The staff here are great especially the manager I think his name is nadeem what a friendly geezer

One of the worst experiences in this Dixy. Order takes long time also half order hot or half cold. Mostly food tasteless. Specially chicken pieces or wings very disappointing. Burger 🍔 is okay because it’s come with sauce inside. So you feel some taste. Serving or packing staff is very very stingy or they trained like this. They not give you any salt, tissue or any sauces, when you ask they charge you extra money with shy smile. Price wise higher like KFC but quality or standard is lower average. Very very stingy. I tried lots of Dixy in London or other part of countries. But this one such a bad experience. Price wise higher in area but no 1 in stingy.

Must say, iv been 4 to 6 times over last 2 month as I live out of town, dixy is consistent. Chips always hot, chicken zinger burger is a beauty, gravy is ideal and the staff are helpful and polit i have found. My favourite has to be, grilled xtra hot chicken wings, rice box. £7.99 for 5 wings grilled perfect, tender and succulent with spice, rice, salad, dip can of 7up,all for £7.99. My second best is the zinger burger meal, chips, drink at £6.99 I believe. Iv only been going this year, 2024,as I was using else were for grilled chicken, once my m8/friend took me to dixy, and then I seen decent price meals and chicken on grill, I really enjoy the food, and the guys who work behind counter, enduring you happy with meal. Open till almost 3am on weekends, awsome!! I'll be back and bringing more new customers with me as, I do suggest this place if, your into fried chicken, grilled chicken, burgers etc 👊❤️ Mark

Ordered box meal for 4 pound with one piece chicken and a mini burger and opted for peri fries gravy was lumpy burger was bland and chicken thigh was tiny and pink and was slimy not got dixy in years and I know why

We come to Dixie chicken very rarely however this time we were quite disappointed.The burger was hard, chewy and old giving us a bad stomach.Barely edible and not worth the money.

Amazing food and service. I've been coming here for years sporadically. Tonight, I asked the staff to make my burrito extra spicy proper burning and they've tried their best. As much as it was fairly spicy , it could have been way spicier as it didn't burn my mouth but I know a takeaway shop has its limitations in terms of spices. The staff were amazing though, very kind, considerate, and understanding. I really enjoyed my meal.

the chicken meat is pink and we rang up to file a complaint and they denied it being uncooked and blamed breadcrumbs for making it pink, the inside of the chicken is hard and it absolutely stinks.

2nd Visit, Big Mistake, from bad to worst: 22-May-2022, Again a poor dooooo, I was against going back to Dixy when my friends suggested to take some fried chicken back for our kids, however two against one I ended up going back and made our order: Low customer service Not helpful, we kept repeating our selves The food was not good tasteless, cold and low level You will get a bigger fried chickens, chip portions in any kids happy meal from any takeaway and a better fried chicken (not a crispy butter and well seasoned rather Soggy and oily sign of no cooking experience). Chicken burger meal was also cold and made my son ill The chicken wings you will need a magnifying glasses to see it, more like robin wings, so small, unbelievable and as for the price I paid so expensive I had to call my bank all in all the meal was a joke and I wouldn't recommend them I know I won't be going ever again My First Visit Not good: Fried Chicken ok but the service on a low side. I went to Middlesbrough for Halal shopping, we found Ramadan offer still on, we order the 9 pieces of chicken, I specifically requested Breast pieces and legs, instead we got thighs and legs all in a closed box, I went back to the gentleman and requested him to change the thighs to breast again he was trying to fob me off with some unconvincing bla-bla, could have been easier to state that we don't have breast, thus I could have decided for something else. I never got breast pieces even after 3 attempts, he was so evasive I just gave up, after my son said leave it dad!!!, typical low level of communication of some cashiers from our culture, the unsaid is crucial, we started guessing me and my son, that could be no breast pieces are included on the offer and he didn't want to say?? only god knows. At the end of the day I decided to have a bit and let my son eat the rest, I didn't enjoy it, however the taste was nearly ok not something that blows your mind or you want to come back for. Furthermore before eating, I wanted to wash my hands and to do so you need again to negotiate the key with the cashier and enter the premises to the staff area for you to use the toilet or even to wash your hands, hopefully they will improve on customer service from every corner including cultural awareness

Their spicy chicken burger meal got the taste buds dancing... I was very happy with the overall quality of the food. Not badly priced too. Staff were nice and helpful; catering for our custom needs. I would highly recommend you try it out. Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised with the overall experience and will, most certainly, be going back. Hope my honest review helps. Kindest regards.

I will be very honest, I liked their food, most of time it come fresh and tasty but I am really disappointed with customer service, I mean those guys are not bad in communication but they dont bother about customer, food missing, or burn. they need to come out with a extra pampering eay to reach the customer needs, when someone paying money, time to visit you, then this is your responsibility to try your best to give your 100%. I think manager or owner want to speak with them to improve their customer services, end of the day a worker don't think like a owner,

Delivered on time. I ordered for myself and 2 friends. The food was tasty and still hot. I'd recommend the supreme burger. I've given a 4-star review as a few of the sizzler wings tasted a bit undercooked, fortunately no one has fallen ill! If you're a condiments person like myself, be sure to order plenty extra dips because they are very small.

WOULD NOT ORDER FROM DIXY CHICKEN AGAIN! Fries: undercooked,limp and oily.Fried chicken: soggy,undercooked coating;chicken flesh just cooked,greasy and tasted of stale cooking oil.Cheesy garlic bread: doughy,undercooked,cheese used is substitute cheese.All in all,a bad experience!

Overpriced fried chicken that tastes mid, kids meal portions... Bosman counts the chips before handing them to you. Payed £15 for a regular mega mix meal and a portion of wings (3). Get better quality and price elsewhere..
