Been using here for a while ordering every week nice food however delivery was over an hour late was no update or customer service I had to start chasing up simply not good enough when there is plenty of options out there for a chinese wont be using them again.

Food from Dinner Box always excellent, with excellent service and tonight was no exception.

Food was good, hot and delivered close to delivery time requested. In the past I used to order a portion of home made chip. These were always firm. Having not had these for a while, I ordered some with this order, and they were no where near the quality of before. The chips were like thin French fries that you would buy large bags of in supermarkets. That is the reason I dropped the food mark by one point.

First time at this Take away. And to say it was amazing, would be an understatement. This from now on is going to be my regular. Service was faultless, staff were.quick to prepare and cook my large order. I can highly recommend 👌 this takeaway.

hello 2 days ago I got some food from just eat and I never received it and I didn’t know what to do in the last 2 days I’m very disappointed that i didn’t receive my order and I would like a full refund in return as I have not received anything really bad service

unfortunately was not to keen beef I black bean sauce never had much flavour the salt and peppers wings tasted bit stale were too hard for me to eat.

Beautiful quality food as always but messed up the ribs I ordered salt and pepper ribs but got bbq ones 😭

Tasty chow mein but pancake roll lacked some flavour, maybe if salt could be added and more pork, shrimp, chicken in actual pancake roll. Long delivery time but food was hot enough.

Dinner box used to be fantastic but latley the food has been not very nice, the chips used to be chunky and tasty now the chips are skinny seemed to be warmed up, the egg fried rice was stodgy, the chowmein wasn't too bad the curry sauce was good very disappointed with the meal overall

all good except the pancake roll it was soggy and had no flavour

I always order here and the food it’s lovely. However the beef and Black been sauce tonight was a little bland not a lot of meet and a lot off onions the sauce was quite thin. It normally tastes a lot better. I hope this was just a one off.

Waited over 2hrs since point of ordering and had to chase at the 90 minute mark. Food arrived hot, at least, but was bland and tasteless. Certainly not worth the wait or the price. If you do insist on ordering from here make sure it’s when you’re entertaining people you hate and don’t mind parting with the best part of £40 for most of it to end up in the bin

2nd time of using this restaurant and I think that will be the last. Delivery took ages, the food was only slightly warm. The smoked chicken was tasteless and the sweet and sour prawn balls were just mediocre.

The two boxes we ordered were really nice, I think offering egg fried rice instead of just boiler rice would have been better. We will order from here again but won't have the rice option.

We have been ordering for 3/4 years now after trying other local Chinese takeaways. This one has the old school feel unlike the bland tasting new ones that have popped up. The food tastes just like i remember as a kid. We've not had 1 reason to complain about the food or service and will continue to order. 2 things that you need to remember. The front of the shop doesn't look inviting but the food is A1 and they are not open Wednesdays.

Never had a problem with dinner box before but this time it Only just arrived in the time advised but had been cooked for quite a while before. Turned up luke warm and sweaty. Flavour was awful and texture was even worse. Are a few mouthfuls before putting the rest in the bin.

When I tried to contact the restaurant I been told different delivery time . Not happy at all

Very rude driver, half an hour late, did not apologise, no explanation and refused to leave his car. Ordered at 8pm, at 10pm still debating about parking, had many deliveries to the flat and never had such issue with the driver, really bad

I ordered my food from Dinner Box at 6:15 PM and it was delivered at 7:45 PM. I wasn’t informed that it would be late. While the food was still delicious and hot I wasn’t impressed by the delay.

Tasty, lots of meat.tried for first time and was impressed how nice meal was.

The lemon chicken came as chicken in one container and the lemon sauce in another, the sauce was thick and tasted awful. The banana fritters were not in the sweet sauce it's meant to be in, literally just looked like little chicken balls (if you didn't know they were banana). The special fried rice wasn't cooked with soy sauce, everything lacked flavour. All in all, it really just felt like this wasn't cooked authentically, I've had Chinese food from many different places and here was probably the worst I've ever had it.

The food tasted terrible. Straight out of the jar. Special fried rice was just basmati with no flavour and barely any meat. The beef tasted strange and had a strange texture to it. Portion sizes were small. Won't be buying from here again. Buyer be warned!

Ordered king prawn fried rice, I received mixed seafood fried rice. Which I'm not happy about it

Took one hour 15 minutes from time of order until delivery called restaurant who was quite rude and said it will take time due to weather. Called again and was told it was on its way. 10 minutes later was still not here. I am a 3 minute drive from the restaurant and there was no traffic. Food was not very hot

Bit disappointed thought I would try due to reviews. Soup was bland and I ordered salt and pepper chips, chicken and tofu. There was no flavour at all I felt they may have forgotten the spice. The tofu was dry and without the seasoning cooked into the food it made for a disappointing dinner for myself and the family

Food was great except the beef in black bean as it was fatty, prawn crackers were stale and spring rolls were soggy.

The food is great except they didn’t provide my swap out request for sauce. I hate sweet and sour sauce so had to throw some food when I tasted it. I requested bbq sauce.

The egg fried rice was so bland, it was literally plain white basmati rice with egg no soy sauce. Salt and pepper chips were also quite bland. The chilli chicken is nice and crispy and overall the food arrived hot which was good.

I have been searching for a decent Chinese in Barking and Dagenham. The outside does not look inviting looks old and dirty BUT it has five scores on the hygiene ratings therefore tried it. Won’t be going no where else food was so nice. not at all greasy. I recommend to the highest and I’m very fussy well done chef
