Digbys Restaurant in Armagh

I worked in Armagh 25 years ago and Digbys was the place to go back then. I'm glad to say it's still the place to.Food staff and ambience are excellent. Without doubt the best tasting steak I've had in a long time.The prices are also very reasonable.Keep up the good work.

Dined here on Saturday 16th February with my husband and daughter.Everything was perfect from start to finish, even though I was given fillet steak instead of the sirloin which I had ordered.Service, ambience and professionalism of all staff was excellent. Could not find fault with the delicious food served. Would recommend Digby's to anyone.

We went to Digby's for dinner last Sunday, and much like other new parents in the area, arrived just before 5pm to get in and out before the restaurant properly filled up with patrons. While it's always a gamble of how your tiny human will react when out and about, we were never made to feel like an inconvenience... (incidentally she slept through until after dessert. Result!)The welcome was warm, we got a drink at the bar before moving through to the restaurant. Food was quick without being rushed, very tasty and portion sizes large. The hubby and I both really enjoyed our meal and the sense of normality of being out and about. And as locals, we will return again soon, perhaps to try their early bird menu.

Amazing food, we had the three course on a Sunday and it was absolutely gorgeous. Nice menu choices and really big tasty portions! Would recommend.

Heard the restaurant was excellent, booked a meal for Sunday evening, lovely bar, good atmosphere, food was excellent fillet mignoins , sides lovely, salads fresh, will definitely be back

Digby’s is a great local place to eat with a lovely atmosphere, home cooked food with high quality ingredients and pleasant staff. We Thought we would try out the new menu this week and it didn’t disappoint. We had a quick drink in the bar before being shown to our romantic table for two in an leisurely manner. We had specifically asked for a quiet corner and they didn’t disappoint. We wouldn’t want to spoil a rare evening out without children with making small talk with people we know at neighbouring tables! The new menu balances enough of the old favourite with some newer, tasty alternatives. The food was served promptly, hot and was very enjoyable. 10/10. I couldn’t help but notice the review below about a late attendance. We eat at Digby’s fairly regularly and have been, on occasion, a little delayed arriving. I always find an apology and an understanding of what the staff are tying to manage is useful. They have an extremely high turnover of customers and yet the freshly prepared food is always produced quickly and the staff always have a smile and welcoming attitude even when under pressure and sometimes dealing with more difficult customers. Heard there was a new chef so had to try before the Derek Ryan Show on 17/10/18. My husband and I had a fantastic meal in Digbys. Starters: garlic mushrooms - excellent portion size. Main course we both had the steak sandwich - absolutely delicious. Desserts: baked alaska and chocolate and caramel brownie with warm chocolate sauce - again it was so delicious! Service was first class and very pleasant staff! Price for what we had was good too! Will def be back to Digbys and highly recommend it to all.

Being a resident of Killylea, we had invited friends who are involved within the hospitality industry in North Down/East Belfast to sample what we thought was a good example of Armagh food. We were reprimanded by a rude waitress for being 25mins late for a Five o'clock booking ( 3 other people and 2 toddlers were the only other diners present) - the restaurant was empty. My husband said he thought he was back at school! Due to the waitress's rudeness, we felt as a party we had better vacant our table promptly-so no desserts or coffees ordered! Dining room still empty!- although they were looking forward to a big booking! Maybe that was why we were treated the way we were.Such a pity- as regular customers I won't be booking a table again for 5 O'clock on a Saturday or for that matter any time ever again. My advice if you are travelling a distance to visit Digby's in Killylea and trying to drive through Armagh Tea time traffic- don't bother. Stop off at Armagh City where we have lots of high quality ,friendly restaurants where the staff have manners. In my experience there are plenty and to our friends who travelled all the way from Bangor for this experience, I can only apologise.

Food is unbelievable, just amazing! The staff were good! The decor is lovely! definitely will be going back! Ohh an the gin list is great!

Went there for my father's 70th birthday and we has a lovely meal. Our waiter was especially friendly. I can't remember his name. Food is of a good standard and the overall decor is lovely.

While stopping in Killylea to find where my grandmother lived we went into Digby's to see if they could help. We did not eat there but I wanted to thank the owner for being so helpful in telling us stories of the town and showing us pictures on the wall of when my grandmother would have lived there. She was kind, helpful and very friendly. I'm sure if we had eaten there it would have been great. The atmosphere was a little bit of Ireland we were looking for.

Haven't been here for a while and thought we should go back. Good extensive menu and early bird choices too so plenty of choice for everyone. Starters were all very tasty and four of us had the steak medallions for main course. Excellent steaks, plenty of side accompaniments and very enjoyable. Managed two desserts to share between us all which was more greed than need. Restaurant was full to capacity and they did seem to be a bit short staffed but our service was still good and the staff very friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be back

The steak here is a must! By far the nicest I've tried. It's a bit out of way for us so we don't get to offen but it's definitely worth it

Called in recently for Sunday lunch. The presentation and quality of the food was second to none. Would definitely be top of my list for a repeat visit.

Went on sat night with friends ... Food still very good but service was poor... No meet and greet and even when told we had booked a bar snack menu was brought... Not asked if we would like a pre dinner drink... Very young inexperienced staff... Not their fault just lacked training

We ate 2 nights at Digbys during our 3 night stay at Robertsons cottage outside Caledon. On the first night we both had the steak sandwich. The steak was cooked to perfection and my wife who is gluten free was served on gf bread. I struggled to finish my chips as there was plenty of food on my plate.

Fabulous from start to finish. No faults there. Very friendly owner & staff. Food is always excellent!!! Been there many times. A favourite definitely with us!!

Went up to Stornaway for the day, while on holiday on Harris. Found Digbys for lunch via TripAdvisor. Food just as good as all other reviews have said and 2 course lunch very good value.

We have been to the restaurant every year while visiting Northern Ireland. Food is always delicious and the service is of high standard. The dishes are made to perfection and variety is great to suit different people. The lemon sole with risotto must try. Their deserts are delicious too! The owner Michael and his daughter are always polite and great fun.

I visited here recently with my family. Somewhere different and was our 1st time. Service is very slow and the steaks myself and husband ordered were tasteless. I would have said mine was more like a minute steak than a sirloin and my husband's fillet was dry. The mushrooms that accompanied the meal were dry and shrivelled up.

If you want the best steak in Northern Ireland i'd advise you all to visit Digbys. I rate this restaurant 5* based on top quality food, lovely staff & efficiency! Worth a visit!!

Pero el desierto es el mejor, el chocolate brownie es uno de los mejores, si no el mejor que he probado. Creo que los postres son caseros y se puede decir además de la salsa con altas sirven en en un recipiente wee que aumenta el sabor. Have been going here for years. Recently refurbished. Called recently for a "pub meal" but you can also use the restaurant. Very busy for a restaurant in a village. Well worth a visit but may need to book for restaurant. Check opening times.

A beautiful meal in a lovely setting served by wonderful people! We went here for a large family meal recently and was delighted at the warm, friendly and relaxed atmosphere. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone!

Called here for tea on our way to a concert,place was nice staff very friendly as it was early 6pm we were the only couple in the restaurant. Our order taken quickly and food arrived soon after. Food well presented and tasted good.

Had been given a voucher for Digbys restaurant so decided to go last week ,was surprised how good it was. Lovely white linen table cloths,napkins,we had early bird menu and the starter ,main course and dessert was excellent and lovely presented,would recommend this restaurant.

We have been eating in Digbys since 1992 and if that is not a 5star recomendation I can not fault the whole experience.

This is my third visit here and each time it gets better and better! Personally I prefer the bar food but restaurant is topclass.Baked Alaska is a must if you love sweet things!!! Take a visit you won't be disappointed ☺️

Digby's never lets us down. Great food and service whether you eat in the bar or in the more formal restaurant. We had a lovely meal there on Saturday evening with friends and family. Can't recommend it highly enough!

Usually pop in on a Sunday when it's pleasantly crowded. Never kept waiting too long either for a table or for your food. It's surprisingly good value for type of establishment.

Recomiendo encarecidamente las gambas al ajillo y la carne medallones, que pedí raro y estaban muy bien preparado.

Visited this restaurant for dinner recently - haven't been for a long time and wasn't disappointed. We had a very enjoyable meal. Excellent service and very good value for money. Would definitely recommend it and we look forward to going again.

Tenía tres generaciones de la familia aquí para una buena comida. Digbys tiene una gran reputación en la zona para una experiencia tradicional de restaurante. Gran atención al detalle en servicio y el menú, aunque sencillo, está bien pensado. Como el vegetariano de grupo, tomé la Fry crudite salteado y los 3 campos enteros estaban muy apreciado. Precio razonable en general. Se merece las 5 estrellas. Una última palabra sobre el servicio. Tienen un muy agradable y atento equipo de personal que es un crédito para el establecimiento.

Fuimos con la previsión de obtener buena comida ... Wel que sin duda no sucedió. El primer plato frío, principal preciosas celebró la placa sin guisantes guarnición o algo parecía miserable y también estaba frío y sin sabor. Ni siquiera me molestó tener desierto. Fuimos a pagar y el hombre era tan ignorantes, más interesados en su computadora portátil y ni siquiera nos dijo gracias y preciosas después de pagar 70 libras por una mala comida!!!! Ni siquiera nos deseo un feliz año nuevo o decir adiós y creo que él dirige rlor pasa este lugar ... qué broma!! Wil sin duda volveremos!!!

Llamamos aquí el fin de semana pasado para comer un bocado después de un partido. Nos recibió el hombre más más agradable del bar, que sirve bebidas mientras esperamos por una mesa. La comida era increíble, recomiendo las pieles de llegó comida fresca e incluía para empezar, algo que no me gusta ir para pero estaban deliciosos, me dieron salmón y mi novio bistec. Todos los platos todo el año, ya que los dos principales eran fantásticos, por supuesto nos dieron la habitación por tho de postre, Alaska al horno era divino.!

Estábamos paseando por el Kanata Centrum y me encontré con este pequeño restaurante que principalmente sirve pescado pero era el $5,99 hamburguesa especial que nos atrapó.

Fuimos allí recientemente en forma de Armagh a Enniskillen. Killylea es un pueblo al lado de la carretera de Armagh a Aughnacloy y, a menos que sabía de este restaurante no sabría a sacar esta ruta para encontrarlo. Hay un pequeño restaurante y vale la pena una visita.

Hemos estado yendo a Digby s durante años, nunca decepciona. Si quieres un buen bistec no busques más. El ambiente en Digby es que de un bar irlandés clásico, es como caminar hacia atrás en el tiempo. Si en la zona de Armagh es un gran carácter bar lleno para cenar.

Mi familia y yo hemos estado aquí durante muchos años y nunca nos ha decepcionado, la comida es deliciosa y el servicio es de un estándar muy alto. Los postres son de lo mejor, el pegajosa pudding toffees y Alaska al horno son increíbles! Sin duda vale la pena visitarlo!

Have ate here many times over the years and I have always had a great experience. Great steaks! There is a great choice on the menu, with option to suit all dietary needs. This place has a lovely warm welcoming atmosphere.

Como cliente que está sin gluten el personal en Digby es sin duda saben cómo adaptar una magnífica comida para todos. La zona del bar es fantástico, con decoración años ya que hubiera buscado pasados. El ambiente es tranquilo y el personal es tan amable un negocio familiar. No te decepcionará con todo en el menú.

The starters are better than average and the steaks are always cooked perfectly. Atmosphere is fine and it is always a winner during the week. Slightly expensive for what you get but at the end of the day I don't like mcdonalds

No había estado por un número de años y era muy feliz de que me había hecho volver. La comida y el servicio era muy bueno. Muy buenas opciones de menú y un confortable entorno. Sólo un comentario sería poner los cubiertos en el desierto en la mesa de servicio, ya que no era lugares correctamente cuando los postres. Volveremos.

Fui allí en el 1° de enero con mi novio. La foto hace que el restaurante bonito y lujoso y tenía buenos comentarios. Pero cuando llegamos, no fue tan lujoso como parecía. Estaba contento con la elección en el menú, sin embargo, la comida en sí no era estupenda. Tuve empanadas pollo y mi novio curry tailandés. Él clasificado la comida aproximadamente 4 de 10. Y también me acuerdo. No hay nada malo con la comida, no era asqueroso o pequeñas. Pero no era nada especial. Y ya que mi novio estaba pagando £17 para su comida, él estaba muy decepcionado. El servicio era bueno, pero la comida no era nada especial y que no volvería, o lo recomendaría.

He estado en este maravilloso restaurante 5 veces. La comida es excelente, y las raciones son grandes : ). Siempre estoy sorprendido por el tamaño de la habitación cuando la comida viene a la mesa, pero no en detrimento de la calidad. Acabamos de pasar el menú navideño que enfrentó a los mismos estándares. Una cosa es que no deje de probar el pegajosa pudding toffees, ¿cómo es posible hacer tan ligero y sabroso, así como Digbys hacer nunca!

Vamos a Digbys cuando esté de visita familiar. Nos vamos para el almuerzo del domingo y el menú del bar cuando queremos algo sabroso. Nunca hemos tenido una mala comida aquí. Todo el mundo en la familia disfruta yendo aquí.

Amigos de Co. Tyrone nos convidó a pasar una noche de sábado cena en su agradable pub local. Qué sorpresa fue encontrar elegantes mesas con manteles y servilletas de mesa de Great startched bed sheets. Su menú ofrece una interesante variedad sin ser abundante. Los langostinos crujientes con mantequilla de ajo seguido de pato asado con salsa de naranja puré de patatas y verduras acompañadas de un blanco impecable Chenin Blanc era delicioso. Cogimos un autobús de 30 aquí en agosto después de un tour de cárcel armagh! Primero de todo fue genial fuera ya que había un montón de aparcamiento para el coche. El servicio era muy bueno, el personal es amable y eficiente, habíamos pedido ya había 30 de nosotros, la selección era genial, la comida era de primera clase! Toda mi autocares de ancianos estaban muy contentos con su comida y buena relación calidad-precio es excepcional! Definitivamente regresaremos. Gracias Digbys

Tengo que decir que no esperaba encontrar un lugar como este en la pequeña ciudad de Killylea. El restaurante parece que ha sido recientemente renovado y es muy elegante y confortable. El menú del almuerzo es una buena relación calidad-precio en 10 libras por dos campos, 12 para tres. Bien presentado y con buenas el tamaño de las porciones. El bacalao Kilkeel bien. Servicio amable. Sin duda volveremos.

It's always delight to visit Digby's. It's one of the best family run Bar/Restaurants I've ever had the pleasure of dining and enjoying a pint of the black stuff.

La extensa y a precios razonables comida de menú caliente y rápidamente fue absolutamente deliciosa. vino de la casa agradable y no es caro si nos dos platos principales y un postre. Went here for a romantic meal and for bar-food it was very very good! However service left alot to be desired. Staff were unfriendly and food took quite a while to come out. Lots of potential though.

Fui por la comida allí hoy con mi madre, mi hermana y mi hijo. Nos dieron dos asados del día y mi madre nos dieron la hamburguesa, la comida era preciosa, pero lo que realmente brilló para nuestra visita fue el servicio. La señora que nos servía era tanto cortés y servicial y enseguida, el ambiente era genial, todo el personal parecía estar sonriendo y charlando con los clientes. Otro camarero después vino a tomar nuestra orden de desierto, él era una delicia. Fue genial para ir a cenar con mi hijo de 1 año y no te sientes como si nos indeseados o una molestia. Los precios son muy razonables y, sin duda, volveré.

It was unreal how friendly the staff were and how good the food was, we had a two course meal and it was fantastic. All Their desserts are homemade and it's such a cosy place. Very reasonable also. Definitely worth a visit!

Estábamos cerca de Castillo Leslie y encontramos este pequeño bar encantador en el tranquilo pueblo si killylea. Comimos del menú del bar y la comida era genial, comida de 3 platos y cada plato fabuloso y a un precio muy razonable. Michael, el hombre del bar y me propietario de supongo que era muy agradable y acogedor, tenía un poco si saben hablar con nosotros y nos hicieron sentir muy a gusto. Sin duda merece la pena el viaje y sin duda volveremos.

A really good meal. There steak is the best i have ever tasted. Well worth a visit. There menu is well priced. They do a good kids menu,or the kids can have a smaller sized portion of what you are having. The staff really friendly.

Si quieres una noche realmente especial Digbys es el lugar para visitar. Mi familia y yo hemos ido a este restaurante por más de 20 años y tenemos que tener una mala comida! Nos asistir al menos 12 veces al año y cada vez que reciba una comida fabulosa con un servicio excelente en todo momento! Como un restaurante familiar que ofrece un extenso menú para todos los gustos y con los mejores ingredientes de calidad! Mi plato favorito es lemon Sole servido con espárragos! Puedo recomendar este establecimiento!

Visité este acogedor establecimiento para cenar después funeral de un familiar. Teniendo en cuenta que el lugar estaba lleno con los números adicionales de huéspedes me quedé muy impresionado con la manera en que fueron capaces de servir de buena comida a muchos en un tiempo limitado. bien hecho!

Vine aquí por recomendación de un amigo local. estar en Dublín rara vez ver estos viejos/restaurantes tradicionales de bar de tipo más. maravilloso servicio, gran humor por todos. Normalmente visitar este restaurante aproximadamente 6 veces durante el año con mi familia y también como una pareja! gran menú a elegir y también el menú de bar para madrugadores está bien si quieres algo rápido y delicioso! Pero para algo extra el restaurante principal es excelente, una decoración encantadora y alrededores.

Esto no era lo que esperaba ... me habían hecho creer que Digby s era una reliquia de antaño y siempre daba como resultado. Sin embargo, lo reservamos como consecuencia de luchar para conseguir unas mesas en nuestros sitios habituales y como Digby parecía ideal para llevar a nuestros huéspedes a, decidí darle una oportunidad.

Just finished our second meal here in as many days. The food is fantastic, brilliant value, the staff are great, so friendly and welcoming. The fillet steak is a must have, cooked to perfection. Cant fault it in any way. We will definitely be back.

Este es un lugar fantástico y vamos allí tan a menudo como podemos. Los filetes son excepcionales como son el servicio y la atención al detalle. Siempre una cálida bienvenida y un ambiente acogedor.

On every occasion that we have been, whether for Sunday lunch or an evening meal, the food, service and atmosphere have been consistently good.

great little pub in a once street village, they also served great food! the walk up the hill to the very old church was also nice. But we loved the pub, the people and the food.

Very deceptive from the outside, it looks small but once you are inside its massive, beautifully decorated, food was nice but there isnt much of a selection on the early bird menu, other than that it was fine.

This place was the perfect eating spot, close to where we stayed and convenient location. Staff could have been a bit friendlier perhaps.

Se puede pensar que un restaurante en un pueblo rural varias millas de Armagh a mediados de abril sería tranquila, pero no aquí. Este lugar está en pleno apogeo y no es ninguna sorpresa. Con un espíritu de primera clase productos cocinados deliciosamente junto con un excelente servicio de atención al cliente le ofrece una noche inolvidable de muy buenos restaurantes a precios asequibles. Nuestro grupo de 4 disfrutamos de nuestra comida el último sábado por la noche y si no me crees leer las críticas. No todos podemos estar equivocados. Si no se hiciera eso, ¿por qué no visitar puedes gracias después me.

We went for a family meal quite recently and were impressed from start to finish. Starters were tasty, main meal was cooked brilliantly and dessert was superb. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Can't wait to return. Thank you.
