First time here after being recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint. Great service and friendly waitresses. The decor and feel of the place was lovely. The food was incredible!!! Good portion sizes and can’t fault any bit of the food! We had the platter for two which is very good value for money and nice to try all the different bits. Found my favourite dessert of all time too…the peanut butter chocolate caramel tart was heaven on a plate!

Was in the area so checked out that reviews of local restaurants and chose this on the back of it's great reviews, and they were right! Lovely little restaurant, nice decor and friendly staff. Free local parking about 5 mins away near station. Had the Porkys for one on the specials and it was great, pulled pork burger, ribs and spicy sausage with chips and slaw, everything was excellent. Took a piece of homemade cheesecake away and that was awesome! Reasonably priced with good beer on tap. Definately reccomend.

Great find, spotless inside, great music and beautiful food. Ribs with the home made sauce to die for. Wish them all the best to make a success. Would recommend it over any other bbq restaurants.

The only things that stop this being a 5-star review are the problems with parking and the £10 pp deposit on booking (I guess they have had problems with no-shows). However, the food, service, prices and ambience were great. Perfect place to meet friends and chat over a lovely dinner. Friends had the platter for 2, which looked amazing, but a lot of food. I had the ribs, which were probably the best I have ever had. Loads of meat, bbq sauce was not sweet and sickly. Not the usual slab of ribs you get elsewhere. The white chocolate and mango cheesecake was also one of the best ever.

This is our first visit to Dick’s we had a fantastic mid week night out for a birthday celebration. The food and service from Eryn and Kate was exceptional, they are an asset to you. Looking forward to coming back.

Friendly staff, great ambience though slightly limited menu (we were surprised that there wasn’t any steak in a smokehouse) and only average food compared to other local premium pubs & restaurants that also serve burgers & ribs.

Visited on a Wednesday night with husband and son. Basically everything on the menu is available as a gluten free option. We had wings and nachos as starters and stripped beef or chicken burgers for mains. Chips and slaw were delicious. They were really helpful - I didn’t want the buffalo sauce in my wings so they swapped for BBQ and they then also checked if I wanted to change the buffalo sauce on my burger which I did. Can highly recommend. Plenty of food and friendly staff. Chef is coeliac so reassured that the food would be GF which it was

Absolutely incredible. We can't stop talking about how great everything was. If you have food intolerances look no further. The owner is celiac and it is very evident in the menu. We have not had this kind of choice in forever. We will definitely be back on a regular basis.

First visit. Won’t be the last. Beautiful premises. Just a hop, skip and a jump from the train station. Our server was lovely. So friendly and bright. Cocktails were stylish and served beautifully. Good wine and beer menu. Not extensive but something for everyone. The food. We went for the sharing menu. Quite simply divine. Ribs and THAT SAUCE were to die for. Loved it all. Would have liked a dessert but was way too full. Maybe next time. Thank you for an exceptional meal.

Arrived and the restaurant was aesthetically appealing. Parked down the road a short walk. Had the platter for 2 for our anniversary, staff were so attentive and the food was outstanding. An anniversary note was left on our table for our arrival which was lovely. We will be back x

Went here as a party of 4. Decor is lovely and place very clean which always sets your mind at ease when first going to a new venue. We ordered two platter for two people which , when it first came out it didnt actually look that much food but I was so wrong on that score. Id forgotten there were also some bbq mixed beans and mac and cheese too which filled the table up. Great value for money and got to try a bit of everything on offer. Go for the platter !!! The food was fantastic. Full of flavour in each dish, i really couldnt fault any if it. Id read some reviews where the staff werent attentive or people were ignored. Honestly i think thats more the people who went. We felt service was spot on. The staff were friendly and very engaging. They checked we had enough drinks and everything was ok with the food. I beleive our main server was Kate who was funny and really engaged with us but all the staff we dealt with are a credit. We will be back for sure.

Casual dining, some starters good, food ok, macaroni cheese tasteless, Gumbo also poor, service good overall, except for the comment that the kitchen had been waiting! What for I don't know, there was no queue, this is very poor customer service, absolutely no need to even mention this, completely unnecessary comment, table booked for 7.00 some of our party arrived at 7.10 due to difficulty finding parking space. Try if you like, won't be returning.

What a find! Just popped up on Google Maps so thought we would take a punt and so glad that we did. Not pretentious but well appointed, busy and friendly. Lissy is an excellent hostess and Richard cooks very tasty food. We enjoyed the Southern Style Shrimps which came with a delicious relish and the sticky BBQ pork belly was substantial and deliciously smokey. For mains we had the Oak Smoked pulled pork and flame grilled burger - both extremely good. I am nervous about recommending this restaurant in case it is full the next time we want to go. We will be back.

Had the best lunch today ! The belly pork and shrimp to start was delicious, then I had the luxury burger which was the best burger I have had in a long time. Service was excellent , very welcoming , we will definitely return. Great find.

Coming home for Christmas wouldn’t be complete without a visit to dicks! The restaurant is modern, trendy and always spotless. The whole place & waitresses were really busy but gave us great friendly service. The portion sizes are amazing and so much flavour! I loved the crispy fried southern shrimp starter! I need that recipe!!!!

Food was mostly good, as per our previous three visits. Chicken burger wasn’t as good as it had been. This time, it didn’t feel different to what you get from any other pub. Let down by the service. 3/5 is solely for that. Not in a long time has my dining experience been so adversely impacted by the attitude of a server. And, unfortunately repeatedly so. The greeting was fine. Seated quickly and told she’d be straight back to take our drinks orders. After an overly long wait to have a drinks order taken, we asked our server if we could order. She was “busy” setting a table that then didn’t become occupied for another 30 minutes; but had to get one of her colleagues to take our order. No idea why she’d left us waiting so long, when setting that other table could clearly have waited. Because of the long wait to order drinks, we advised that we were ready to order our food, when our drinks arrived. We were quite bluntly told that the kitchen won’t be ready for us yet, and orders are taken in the order that customers arrive. They were not at all busy, and I don’t understand why customers are left waiting to order drinks or food, when their servers can clean tables that remain unoccupied. We haven’t had this at Dicks before - even when busier. If there are staffing problems in the kitchen - there are much better ways to handle this with customers, instead of rudely speaking to them. Her attitude then seemed to worsen; maybe she was affronted that we were looking to jump her queue. Given all we had done was advise that we were ready to order (it’s a small menu - of course we’ve chosen by the time drinks come) her sarcastic tone, clearly gossiping about us with the other waitresses, and general lack of pleasantness was extremely rude.
