Dia La Pizzeria in South Derbyshire

Just had a delivery of cold food, The Nachos supreme was swimming in spicy sauce which was so overpowering. Normally one of my fav dishes. They also got the order wrong. Feels like they have gone down hill

Absolutely vile. I mean what do you expect for a medium pizza and 7 wings for £13? Wings came like they were cooked in a volcano and then sat on a hot plate for 3 hours. A lovely black glaze to them. How this is acceptable to prepare I don’t know. The pizza was nothing more than a really thick overcooked dough with a dressing of cheese and tomato. Anything past the first bite of the triangle was inedible. I used to have pizza from here years ago. I always wondered why domino’s can charge so much for a pizza… I now know why. It’s because if this is the competition, you can charge what you want. I might open a pizza shop as if this place can stay in business, anyone can. I sometimes feel grateful that I experience poor cuisine locally , as I know I never need to try again. What an awful experience.

Had to wait for hour and half witch is fine but not what I asked for extra cheese never got any salad none what so ever best thing about it is they read it all back to you!!! Getting worse these place is not the only time had problems from here

I ordered a delivery meal, being quoted 1 1/2 hours for delivery, this was fair enough….However, I had to chase it after nearly two hours and was told we were the next delivery, so after waiting over 2 hours in total so far part of the meal was missing which after calling them again arrived another 15 minutes later, the meal was then cold. Having used this pizza company since they opened, it looks to me like they have gone the way of others in the town, and grown extremely busy and lost the service edge.

Ordered through the website. Paid using Apple Pay. Booked the first available delivery slot. Order did not turn up. I phoned to see what had happened. They said that they had no record of my order, but said if I gave them the order over the phone, they would deliver it within 20 minutes. I gave them the order. They then insisted that I pay them again. When I reminded them that I had already paid, they said that if I wanted the order I had to pay again. When I said that was unacceptable they hung up. That is totally unacceptable and absolutely disgusting service. I will never use them again and if I am not refunded I will take it further

Having used this pizzeria for about 20 years, I can honestly say the food has never been short of perfect. We did once have the wrong order dropped off but we ate it anyway as we had waited for delivery rather than collecting and we’re very hungry and although completely different food it was still delicious. Tonight, I collected my order, paid the amount requested, I had not totted it up myself, when order was ready the young lady told me she had overcharged me by £5, apologised and refunded me out the till. Most impressed. Only have good things to say. Keep up the good work.

Sorry to have to write this but awful ordered on line to collect, only half of it there so had to go back in. Got home and still some missing.. the garlic bread wasn’t even cooked .. had to return it for a refund … Please sort this out it used to be good food but now seems to be ran by kids

Ordered pizzas for delivery which arrived spot on time, pizzas were hot and tasted fantastic all at a very reasonable price. No where better.

manager said i should have asked for it not to be burnt lol, you wouldnt write it ,how does this man dress himself in the mornings ,shocking,

Just had the manager come to collect the Burnt pizza and he said next time you order ask for it not cooked so well. Pizzaria now do a new pizza BURNT crust. What a joke the manager is couldn’t manage a dustbin bag . It was cold as well . Discusting service. Won’t be having anything else with attitude this this . The chips litteraly made my jaw ache trying to chew them and the pizza wasn't much better, crust and bottom was burnt. I dont know why I gave it another go as the chips were absolutely rubbish the last time a few weeks ago. Lesson learnt twice never again.

Originally ordered for delivery food never showed up so called pizzeria for them to say they attempted delivery at the wrong address but they will remake the food and give us 50% off which was fair enough I then asked how long and they said another 25 minutes (already waited (1.5 hours...) I then offered to collected do we could get the food sooner and they said that’s fine. Food was missing & so was the toppings on my burgers not the mention the ridiculous amount of grease dripping through the bag of garlic mushrooms all over my car seat smells lovely 😍😍😍 NOT! Won’t be ordering again. Photos say it all 🤷🏽‍♀️

i ran into the shop like usain bolt as i got pressured, i went in for a margarita pizza and ended up getting pressured by two people and one of the shop floor staff shouted oi to sort the whole situation. the conspiracy theories were flying about that i had been saying stuff when i clearly barely knew the people

I've recently moved back to the area with my partner and I recommended Dia La Pizzeria as I have good memories of their food from when I was younger. We weren't dissapointed! Tasty and hot food that turned up at our door really quickly. The portion sizes are plenty if you're hungry as well!!

The 5 stars are for the young man on the telephone this evening. So polite and patient with an irritable customer. I was waiting for my delivery a lot longer than normal so made a couple of calls to chase. When it was delivered I thought the order was wrong. I called again and the same young man assured me it was correct as he’d made it himself. He was right. The order was correct and very delicious. Thank you for your patience. As always delicious food just a shame that it took so long to be delivered.

I’m gutted to be writing a bad review but it isn’t the first time we’ve been unhappy with our food. A couple of weeks ago my misses found a hair in her burger which put her off the rest of her food. She then sent an email directly with no reply. Then this weekend I had a double Icelander and asked for no onions. When I open it it was covered in them, it even said on top of the box “no onions” I could deal with scraping them off but the fact it was stated on the box and was ignored was not professional at all. My misses had a pizza and half way through her pizza she showed me that it wasn’t cooked thoroughly. The base was still extremely doughy. As I’ve stated I’m gutted because dia la pizzaria has been my favourite takeaway since I moved to swad 4 years ago. I don’t know whether there has been a change in owners/management but I’m certainly not the first person to notice the takeaway going downhill recently. Unfortunately we won’t be ordering from there again, unless we here of improvements.

The burgers are the best in swad for takeaway, also the calzone pizzas are worth a try, chip are nice and hot...

Used this place for years. Its a pizza shop in a small town I live in. Pizza used to very good until management decided they had enough cash to keep them happy and left it in charge of moronic teensFood recently has been awful (it's a fast food pizza place so I'm not expecting much) but when you end up regularly waiting over an hour for a pizza where the base is still semi uncooked and slimy, it's not what you've asked for and you are still expected to stick with them then they must be blind to the rubbish they are currently providingI complained recently after waiting nearly 2 hours for a cold pizza and a girl on the phone told me that if I didn't like the food I could f off. Her words. My mobile number has now been blocked so I can't call or order - no great loss frankly.No offence Shaun.

Ordered a burger and onion rings nice and simple but they still managed to get it wrong. Went back to the counter to tell them and it seemed as if they didnt know what to do. I paid the extra money but the girl couldn't operate the till properly due to her nails being too big. Bit inappropriate to have nails like that in a place that serves food. The till was ringing up change from £50 despite me giving her £5. This she did twice because of her nails. The staff thought it was funny giggling to themselves by the fryer because a staff member was causing problems but laughing at us as if it was our fault. They were laughing and making gestures when they went round the back where we could still see them through the a hole in the wall. Sad too see a business that sells tasty food run by incompetent immature staff. I'm a business owner and I'd have pulled them up sharp if they worked for me. We wont be back and I wouldn't recommend.

Dia la Pizzeria is our go to place for pizza delivery!Thin base pepperoni is my go to pizza!.Tasty sides, great menu selection, and they now do an app!The only thing is perhaps 5% of times you order it either takes longer than they quoted for delivery or a small part of the order is incorrect or missing. This never dissuades us from returning though!

I have used dial la pizzeria since it opened years ago. The pizzas are excellent. I would also recommend the jacket potato’s. Lots of filling and very large. They have the best coleslaw ever! Reasonable pricesThe only downfall is delivery times can be very long.

Our first choice for take away anytime. Great delivery times, great pizza. Always as described, always freshly made and always food!

would recommend for people who love pizza there pizzas are cooked to perfection and if you are very picky they will do it how you ask for it.

What a really good choice of food. Really fresh salads. Well cooked meats. Even pizza dough made fresh on site. Cannot fault the presentation or taste of everything. Order regularly. Yes sometimes delivery can be a bit drawn out but soooo well worth the wait. Must be good to try don’t you think?

Ordered a large pizza and side. Told the wait would be 45 mins. After an hour no food had arrived so called to chase and told it was on its way. Another half hour and no food so called again. Staff on the phone was not bothered and could hear someone in the background saying "they've already phone once" - indeed I had an would keep phoning until my food arrived.Finally after two hours the food arrives. I was adamant that I would not be paying but then found out that this would be taken from the delivery drivers salary, so ended up at least paying somethingTwo hours to wait for poor service.You have lost my business as I won't be back and I will be telling everyone I know

Always like the food from here. However the last few orders have taken what we felt was unreasonably long time to arrive. Most recent order was placed via their own App as advertised on their website. Simple and easy to use. However it seems something went wrong between the app and the kitchen. On ordering, App suggested delivery time of 45 minutes. Perfectly reasonable to proceeded to order. 1 hr passed, then 1hr 15 and still no pizza. So I called to enquire - after a few minutes where the call operator spoke to someone, it emerged that “the times on the App aren’t accurate”. Hmmm. Even if they’re not, it was midweek and I’d have said over 1 hr 15 mins is a little too long. However they were very apologetic and knocked some money off the order. Was promised it would be on the next driver’s route and would be with us in 10 mins. Finally arrived over 20 minutes after my call and well over 1.5 hours from ordering.

I've ordered from here quite a few times and the food has always been good. would be better if you could order online as the phone is always engaged and you have to retry a few times before you get through.

Always friendly service . Always hot delicious pizzas and burgers 🍔 I've used this restaurant since it opened years ago and I would always recommend it for hot fresh food delivered in a decent time at a great price you can't go wrong.always 10/10 xxxx

We ordered a meal for the family tonight and was told an hour wait. At an hour and 15 minutes we rang to enquire where our food was. Apparently it was on it's way. Over a hour and a half and the food arrives. But it's missing the main pizza which was a half and half. The driver took all the order away and we waited for our full order to come back which took 40 mins.

Worst pizza I have ever eaten! Collected late afternoon so it wasn’t busy. Got home and the pizza wasn’t cooked properly. Sloppy tomatoe and a soggy base. The cheese wasn’t cooked either. Had to put it back the oven at home. Won’t be visiting again. Will stick to our normal Rainbow house which is 10x better.

I don’t ever write reviews but dia la pizzeria Swadlincote has boiled my blood, over the last few orders they have not delivered items that I had pre paid for (by card) over the phone. After the second time this happened they offered to pay for my next meal. When I tried to order this the girl on the phone said record of this could not be found, when I asked to speak to the manager this was immediately found and I was told I could place my order.

This is by far the best pizza takeaway in he area. Always on time or earlier whenever we've ordered. Our orders have never been wrong and always arrive hot. Pizza so much nicer than the soggy dominos offerings that cost twice the price!

We enjoy all the food from here. Always get orders right and are always here before the stated time. Good menu and selection

Have been having takeaway from here for years and It's always been good. Plenty of topping on the pizza's, salads are always fresh and it's always hot when delivered.

I had a takeaway meal from here just the other day, and my God- I was blown away!. I'd always heard bad things about this place.. rumours are such bad things. I had just a plain cheese and tomato pizza (large) and my partner had the spaghetti Bolognese.. both of them were amazing- piping hot, and cooked perfectly. We both shared a burger too. The burger was slightly dry and the bun a tiny bit soggy, but was hot and edible. What I liked about the service was the bloke at the end of the phone was very honest and told us the waiting time could be up to 45/50 minutes because they were extremely busy.. honest people, at least they didn't keep us waiting. I usually only have pizza from dominoes, but I think I've found a new favourite place for pizzas.

Stuffed crust is amazing, pizzas never greasy, chicken wings are really nice and their coleslaw is lush

Ordered from dia la pizzeria last night after waiting an hour our food arrived ,when I opened the pizza box it looked as if it had been sat on ,one side with barley any topping on and the other piled up with soggy wet cheese that was stuck to the lid of the box,when I called to complain the staff didn't seem bothered in the slightest but sent a new pizza .when the "new" pizza arrived it was soaking as if it had been dipped in grease ,too the point where you would need a knife and fork to eat it! Standards that were barley there to start with had most definitely dropped!

We have a meal from here at least once a week. The menu choice is great and pleases the whole family.Calzone is amazing, as are the burgers, spag bol and pizzas. Always delicious and fresh. We have never ever had a problem. Highly recommend.

Amazing food, amazing value for money, would recommend to all pizza lovers, great menu with something for everyone. It's that good I have to treat myself and my family every week :-)

Reasonably priced but completely underwhelming. First and last time I will order from here. Very disappointing indeed.

Regular for years, always good food and service, over last 6-12 months, hit the pits, food cold on delivery, over-cooked (and I mean borderline burned!) on outside under-cooked inside (poppin chicken!), pizzas literally need holding over a bowel to drain the oils, really isn't enjoyable. And the jacket spuds, how do you murder a jacket spud? It's harder to mess this up than get it right! Don't know what changed, but I won't be using or recommending again.

Ok so first stumbling upon this place over 10 years ago it became to place to fill your belly after a night out, it's much more than that, the staff are friendly, it's a family run Italian joint and smells delicious! The secret recipe colslaw is addictive! I now live in London and every time i make a trip within 10 miles of this place I have to stop by mines a small pizza with onion and tandoori chicken and a tub of the finest colslaw my other half southern fried chicken with fries no bones it's always breast-Must try's-Garlic mushroomsCheesy garlic bread Don't leave without trying the colslaw Once more the price is amazing value so you really can try everything!

Always ordering takeaway from here and getting it delivered to the house. Great pizzas and food considering we always take away and don't sit in. Very reasonably priced too, which is the best selling point in my opinion as a lot of takeaways in the area have become highly priced, and that's not something you want from take away food - if my food is going to cost me more than £6 per person, I would want to go out not order takeaway. Dia La Pizzeria has always given us great service, friendly customer service and never got an order wrong so far - we've even found ourselves with a free portion of chips on occasion. I have also found the restaurant area to always be clean and tidy whenever I've visited.
