Devaney's Fish Shop in Selby

Very disappointed! Haddock was grey and chips not freshly cooked. Looked like they'd been refried about 3 times. Not what we'd expect from a Yorkshire chippy

We use Tad Wetherby whaler often. Just had fish& chips to tonight , 2 members of the family are gluten free. Absolutely fantastic food this evening! Thank you so much & a Merry Christmas to all staff. Many thanks.

Chips disgusting went in the bin. Tasted as if reheated and refried.. Some were hard. No return for fish.

Just back from a takeaway lunch at Wetherby Whaler Tadcaster. Cooking & Service as good as their Wetherby flagship. Would have been even better if there had been picnic benches on the grass next to the vehicle access.

Always cooked fresh to order and to perfection. Beautiful crisp batter and excellent quality fish makd this a tasty treat. Just wish they had a sit down restaurant.

Been coming here for fish & chips for years. Always freshly cooked, chatty friendly staff & a good variety on the menu from pies, fish, spicy battered fish, sausage, chicken nuggets & fish bites for the kids :)

Popped in on passing when visting the market Really enjoyed the chips. Large portion and good price as well Would go back

Visitar York y alojarse en un pueblo para un fin de semana largo. Parecía un pescado y chip examina y pensamos que nos daría Devanys una prueba. así que no nos decepcionó. platos de pescado fresco y patatas fritas impresionantes. La única razón por la que no le doy 5 estrellas porque el menú era bastante pequeña, pero para ser sincero lo que tienen era maravilloso.

Love these fish and chips. Cooked to perfection. Must admit, I wish they were open more often as when you drive past 9 times out of ten the place is shut!! Apart from that when they are open its a treat.

Ha sido mi pescado y patatas fritas solucionar desde aquí por más años de los que se cuenta hasta (recuerdo que es el lugar donde los Wetherby Whaler propietarios reducir sus dientes) y la calidad nunca ha disminuido. suculentos pescados en pasta y patatas fritas crujientes fabulosas. Mi única crítica es que abren en extrañas horas - pero es difícil criticar la comida.

chico en frente de mi marido compró bolsa de patatas £1.50 se puso una bolsa entera y extra grande cucharada saber esto mi marido sabía que no comer esta gran porción así que conseguimos 2 pescado y una porción más salsa curry.Él estaba mortificado llegamos a ver que le habían dado media una bolsa de patatas no es suficiente para satisfacer incluso un niño deje solo mi marido me sentí como si nos habían robado!!sensación de que probablemente fue un error me llamó y la señora era tan grosera diciendo que es una porción tamaño que es lo que obtienes y finalmente se estrelló teléfono!! No es una buena forma de dirigir un negocio creo! más pequeña porción de patatas fritas que hemos comprado y £1.50 , se habría sentido robaron en pagar 75 p!!!

I've used this chippy for 15yrs or more, friendly owners a member of staff can take some getting to know but when you do she is generally ok. Always fresh and open till 8pm Thursday & Friday

Nunca había conocido un "fish and chips" a cerca de lo que parece ser 7 pm cada noche.Muchos una vez que he conducido pasado en mi camino de vuelta a casa del trabajo, pensando "genial, yo tendré un té "fish and chips"!" sólo para darse cuenta de que se había cerrado hace 10 minutos.Lugar muy extraño, una vez me las arreglé para tener en antes de que cerrar las puertas me pareció que la comida era bastante buena. Pero la frustración de "aargh saberlo es cerrado" y otra vez supera cualquier buenos recuerdos de la comida."fish and chips" de Kirkgate aquí voy ... ;)

Best chippy in Tadcaster. The fish is fresh with crispy batter. We get fish and chips regular and always feel happy and satisfied

We always get our fish and chips from here wouldn't go anywhere else, all cooked to order as you walk in so you know that it's hot and fresh
