Desi Dhaba in Brent

Choices. I headed into Alperton to have some lunch and found this restaurant close by the station. I always enjoyed thali and unlimited?! veg thali, this can't be true. I had to try it for myself. The place was spacious and clean, the meal came quickly, the naan still hot. The portions and selection prepared came on the sweet side, the veg curry spicy and hot. I particularly liked the sweet, nutty paste, dont know its name but combined nicely with the naan. The masala chai freshly prepared helped to finish my meal. Note; though quiet as I dined, music played in background, couple few tables away, their baby snored LOUDLY!

Amazing ppl with good services. Love to see them again.

Best ever food I taste ever in London

It was my go to place when I used to stay in Hotel and just shifted to London. Food was good it used to be fresh which I wanted But recently they started using stale food quality has reduced from 8/10 to 1/10 Hope they improve and maintain the quality which they initially used to do.

I loved my our dining experience at Desi Dhaba. The staff was extremely hospitable and the restaurant had a lovely cozy ambience. I am a big fan of Desi Chicken here and it was cooked to perfection and wonderfully suited to my taste buds. We also ordered Chole Bature, Jeera Rice and Mango Lassi and the overall meal was a treat. Will come back for more Desi Chicken :).

We came to this restaurant because it offered a plethora of vegetarian options. We unfortunately came close to the closing time so we had to be quick. We ordered 2 Lassi glasses one buttermilk flavored and the other, mango. We also ordered a cheese butter masala and a aloo gobi. Both were out of this world. The rice was also phenomenal. The restaurant gives some Indian style nachos with 3 sauces as an opener. Each of the 3 sauces is different and they are incredible as well. The prices are very reasonable and the service is polite and friendly. We will be back. This restaurant is highly recommended.

The food was amazing. The staff were very polite and friendly. The service was rather rapid even though we were 30 diners. We were even allowed to pack left over food. Overall, I am quite pleased with this venue.

The young lady was polite and very nice, greeted us and took our order. The food took an exceptionally long time to come out. The owner was sat in the corner on his laptop, no attention or greeting to his customers apart from telling the young lady to be attentive and get customers to give them a review. So here goes I hope this review will give you some positive feedback with potential to improve your business. I wanted a stuffed parontha and was told the one I wanted from the menu was not available for some reason. Point 1 don’t have something on the menu if you’re not prepared to supply it to your customers. The food was very slow in coming and I could hear just alot of chatter from the kitchen I ordered the gobi as the alternative and asked for it to be spicy with fresh green chilli. The parontha came out on a thalli a nice point but it was not good at all, certainly no spice as I actually asked for it to be, the dough was very thick in parts and the stuffing was scarce. It should haven crisp. Hot and the filling evenly distributed, a nice pickle but disappointed with the parontha. My wife ordered the aloo puri and that even later than mine. That too was disappointing as it was very bland tinned potatoes quickly put together in a wok with onions. I was expecting much better and certainly there is potential. The restaurant is on a very busy road and difficult to find car parking. The restaurant deco was ok and the background music was dull not really lively and inviting. The bathrooms were smelly and clean. It felt the sink hadn’t been cleaned and didn’t feel comfortable to use it. Sorry guys there is potential but the food should have fresh ingredients, actually have menu items available and listen to what the customer has ordered. Dot sit on your laptop engage with your customer and they may come back. If it wasn’t for the young lady serving and do polite we would have left. S

Really loved the grilled menu but the one thing i love the most every time i come here is the crispy chilli paneer it is must. I love the feeling because its really homely.

**Restaurant Review: Disappointingly Slow Service** I recently dined at desi dhaba wembley, and while the food was decent, the service left much to be desired. Upon arriving, I was seated promptly, but the positive experience ended there. Despite the restaurant being moderately busy, I had to wait for a staggering 30 minutes before my food finally arrived. No one informed me of any delays, and it seemed like the staff were more preoccupied with other tasks than attending to their customers. By the time the food arrived, my appetite had waned, and the overall dining experience was soured by the unnecessary wait. It's a shame because the potential for a great meal was there, but the incredibly slow service overshadowed any positives. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously, as a quicker, more attentive service would significantly improve the dining experience.

Food was good and the ambience is fine but the service was disappointing. We ordered 3 mains and had to wait about an hour for that. The well prepared food was not worth the wait 😔.

I had a great experience at Desi Dhaba. I order desi paneer tikka for the starter and shahi paneer , dal makhani, jeera rice and garlic chilli naan for the main course. The taste is so good. Besyt Indian Restaurant in wembley.

Place is ok.daal fantastic but the chef didn't know how to make aloo gobhi. Rubbish sabji,allo and gobi in salt . Order for spicy and there was nothing in the sabji. Will not suggest to anyone.

I ordered takeaway and had to wait nearly one hour. On top of that ,they had run out of fish,so no Curry or fish starter and this was around eight thirty on Friday and a Family of four had to wait over thirty minutes.

Awful food taste like it was cooked with a soap food is horrible customer service is not any better they don’t really care who comes to the restaurant. I will never go back to this place not worth spending a penny ruined my dinner with my family

It was good to be there and eat as the name suggests, it was Dhaba style food and it was Greta in taste 😋 and with reasonable price. There was chef style chili paneer which was different than normal 🌶️ chili paneer. Daal tarka was super awesome.

Desi Dhaba is really awesome place to dine-in. It is perfect in terms of taste, service and environment. Also it is budget friendly. We ordered Shahi Paneer, Garlic Naan, Drinks and it was really very tasty (relates to Indian taste and tadka). Also the one portion of sabji was enough or more than enough for two people. Service by Kartik was really friendly and he is really a nice guy. Also Payal is very friendly and she suggested us these.

The best indian food! Mango Lassi is outstanding. Kadhi Pakora tastes authentic and so does the flavourful paneer makhni. Service was a bit slow but the staff , specially Kartik, is polite and professional.

Came here spontaneously and was very pleased with the service, the main waiter was friendly and had great banter. Alll the cooks were lovely and it really felt like a home. We also appreciated the art work. The food was unmatched flavours were elite and the portion sizes were amazing. They were accommodating for us and overall it was really a lovely experience.

Decent location and good combination of menu. Lots of options for starters and main. Wonderful service by Karthika and vidiksha. Suitable for family and small gatherings. Portion is good and well served.

Brilliant food. Kartik was very attentive as well. The portions are very well sized and the masala chai is perfect to the t! Highly recommended.

To my experience this has been my best place to go after my work. Great good for the value. One can enjoy the Bollywood atmosphere and the name does justice, gives you vibes of dhaba in an elegant way. In fact, I have got well acquainted with people working over there, Karthik, Ashish, Vidarshi, Krutik. Will definitely recommend to anyone who comes to Alperton.

Here's what I ordered and here's what I think about it: Chicken Fried Rice 3/10 Veg Hakka Noodles 3/10 Chicken Manchurian Gravy 0/10 The chicken Manchurian balls had a fishy horrible taste and rubbery texture. Also I absolutely do not understand why restaurants that call themselves "Indian restaurants" don't make unapologetic authentic Indian food. I have lived in Mumbai for 25 years, I know my Indo Chinese food. This was not proper Indo Chinese food. The flavours, the spice was just not there. I went to the place because of the ratings but it was an absolute disappointment. I'm not sure about the rest of their menu but I am assuming it is like most UK "Indian restaurants" white washed and anglicised.

Had a great experience at Desi Dhaba! Visited for lunch and tried the Dhal Makhani and Paneer Tikka Masala. Enjoyed both dishes and thought the service was great! Also tried a Masala Chai which went down a treat. Atmosphere is a nice chilled out vibe and decoration matches well. I'd definitely come back again!

Really tasty food at very reasonable prices. One of the few restaurants which do not charge service fees. Had palak paneer which was great

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Desi Dhaba is an absolute gem! This place is so authentic that it transported me straight back to India. The chai is a must-try—absolutely divine! I visited with my husband and in-laws, and we were all blown away by the food. We started with tea and then ordered noodles, rajma, garlic naan, naan, and roti. Everything was so delicious that I completely forgot to take pictures. The food was so amazing that, for a moment, I forgot I was in the UK. Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine!

Ordered crispy chilli paneer, was told would be mild. However £8 wasted, totally burning hot, uneatable, awful taste of just pure chilli 🌶. Very disappointing, called to let them know just saying it's made this wasy then why liar say mild. It was burning fire hot sauces probably made it in 1 mins. Who eats this rubbish. Garbage takeaway. Avoid at all cost. Should have offered a refund, or atleast a replacement. But just giving excuse made this, and selling as mild. Totally unprofessional attitude. Better off going elsewhere.

The atmosphere was calm and serene. Light music and wasn't very crowded between 13:00 to 15:00hrs. Ordered chili paneer - taste was okay, tasted more chili sauce that authentic chili paneer, tandoori butter roti was delicious. Coffee was good and the complementary mixed basket was also good. Will definitely go again to try their other specialities. The service was great with a smile..that makes a difference when you have a smiling host.

Had the worst experience in this place. My phone was stolen from the table inside the restaurant. Losing the phone was not a major issue but what took me by surprise was that, none of the cameras in the seating area was functioning. What if something major happens? Where is safety of the customers? The only cameras working were above the cashier desk, inside the kitchen and in the backyard, which clearly shows that the only thing matters to the owner/manager is to keep an eye on their own staff. The staff, however, was brilliant. They tried to help me in all the way possible and were really genuine. My only concern is for the public safety. So, Please look out for your customers too, if you're running a place like this.

Celebrated a 30th birthday party where they looked after 13 of us and must say that we were spoiled with exceptional service! Being checked upon regularly and ensuring we were having an amazing time. 100 percent recommened and last but not least the food was amazing catering to different spice levels!! Amazing bunch. After reservation and placing my order..had to wait for 1 hour for my food to arrive. When we asked in how much time it will come..we were told it's in queue and will take time...(Asked after half an hour of order).. Imagine waiting for food with a 6 year old hungry child... Luckily they got my kid's food in half hour ,(boiled rice).. It was an absolute disappointing and disastrous experience.. The food tasted good ... But not worth the wait...when you are already hungry..

Excellent restaurant, amazing food! The tandoori chicken wings were marinated very well and cooked to perfection, juicy on the inside and not just tandoori flavouring on the outside. The garlic naan was delicious and accompanied the palak panner and pilau rice well, both dishes were flavoured well without being overpowering. Ordered a mango lassi that was very good, not too sweet but with enough flavour. Would go again to try the other dishes. Service was great too, our server came over to ensure everything was good and had a friendly manner.

Concern Regarding Lack of CCTV Coverage in Seating Area I am writing to express my disappointment and concern regarding an incident that occurred to my friend visited to your restaurant. While enjoying her meal, she unfortunately lost her mobile phone. She immediately approached the staff for assistance, hoping that CCTV footage might help in locating the lost device. However, she was shocked to learn that there are no functioning CCTV cameras in the seating area where she was seated. This lack of surveillance in such a vital area poses a significant safety and security risk to your patrons. It's alarming to know that the cameras are solely focused on the cash desk reception, kitchen, and back yard, neglecting the areas where customers spend most of their time. In today's world, where incidents of theft and misplacement are not uncommon, it's essential for establishments like yours to prioritize the safety and security of their customers. Having proper CCTV coverage not only deters potential criminals but also provides a sense of assurance to your patrons that their well-being is being taken seriously. I urge you to address this issue promptly by installing CCTV cameras in all relevant areas of the restaurant, including the seating area. Additionally, ensuring that all cameras are in proper working condition and covering crucial angles will greatly enhance the overall safety and security of your establishment. Food, ambience and service is good but what's the point if its not safe, my friend lost her phone in the restraunt and we came to know that there was no camera for customers safety, so if somebody comes and stabs you in that restraunt then they will say our camers are not working, utter nonsesne if you are not following the protocols for safety. support your customer if you can , mobile is not an issue, management could have dealt with this issue in a proper manner

This is not safe place to go one of my friends phone was stolen by a lady inside the restaurant when my friend asked manager to give cctv footage but manager told cameras are not working and he said you cant do anything.

The staff is excellent but the atmosphere is not safe. The cameras don’t work there . My friend’s phone has been stolen and there is no evidence for it. There are cameras but they don’t cover the customer seating area. Not a safe place.

Me and my friend went to experience a fantastic dining experience at Desi Dhaba on New Year's Day. The place had amazing food, service and atmosphere. They also had a great selection of songs! Would love to visit again when I'm down in London! :)

We ordered a few things n the food wasn’t great it was soggy n it wasn’t cooked properly. The fact that I had STEEL (which they clean the dishes with) in the food and I almost ate it. r. Not only that there was a hair in our food. Honestly the worst visit ever.

No doubt service was quick and pleasant but food items we ordered were not as per the expectations. Only dish I like was tandoori chicken wings. Chicken lollipop were blunt and lamb pot ghost was soggy and tasteless.

We had pathetic experience with Desi Dhaba, waited there for 1hr to get the food but still the food was not ready and asked us to compromise with the food which is ready. We have to walk out without the food at the end. Highly not recommend, if you want to save your time!!

When I called the restaurant, they didn't bother to compensate even if they accepted it new ched fault, but no positive response. Very tasty authentic North Indian non veg food and a great service. We loved it.

We went for dinner here on sunday, there was no one in restaurant and we were the only customers and we ordered dry manchurian they served us with gravy still we ate but it felt like it was not fresh and it tasted like eating stale food. We complained about it but chef was very rude to us and said it is what it is. We visit this place regularly but this time’s experience was very bad. Wasn’t expecting rather paying here more for bad quality i would suggest there are many new restaurants serving amazing quality and quantity with great service. Visit gujju dhaba, krishna restaurant, raaj darbar, sarvanna bhavan etc way better than this at present.
