worst chinese ive had , the spare ribs have been chopped and are about 2inches long and well over cooked , the house curry tasted as if it had been cooked with oxo cubes , absolutely vile . the chips were wrinkly and old, on the up side the prawn crackers were spot on . definately wont be going again

Very easy to find and park outside, Staff lovely! Very nice food was £10.10 for beef stay , egg fried rice and bag of veg spring rolls , will be back again! Plus bonus is they use foil trays so better to keep my food warm for the 30min drive

Needed something quick and easy after a long day. Very mediocre, some dishes very cheap though with questionable ingredients.

We got back from the mountain late, so rather than cook we looked online for a takeaway and found the Deer Lake, so we rang even though there was no online menu the female who answered was very helpful and read out a number of items close to what we wanted. 20 mins later a very lovely hot takeaway. The 2 boys are sometimes fussy eaters but they both demolished the meals. The ribs were fab. All 4 of us enjoyed the food and as for the chips, great. 2 nights later the boys wanted the same again.

The DA has been established for decades and I think it's been passed down the generations / families. It's on a T-junction so parking can be tricky, best to park in the Post Office / Football Club car park rather than risk an accident / damage by parking on pavements / opposite junction as we often see. The menu is extensive with everything you'd expect to find. It gets busy in the evenings so best to call ahead say 30mins before you pick-up. The food is generally hot and tasty although we've had the odd dish that we rejected but overall, we are happy to use DL every month or so as they offer good value.

Staying in the area and coming back at 10:00 from the theatre in Bangor, on a Saturday, I really fancied fish and chips but couldn't find a chippy open even in Menai Bridge. The Deer Lake was open and it was easy to park (on the street) quite close. The chicken foo yung was quickly prepared and was delicious and good value for money. The menu was extensive and recently extended so I'll definitely be back. Very clean, well presented and professional and friendly service by the way.

Noodles were edable, currysauce too runny and very bland. Nice friendly staff, and rather cheap pricing

Ordered the set meal for 2 which was average. The chop suey rolls were greasy and the sweet and sour pork had a watery, cucumber taste from the cucumber slices in it. You don't put cucumber in sweet and sour. Also why is there no crispy duck on the menu? And why do none of the meals come with rice? (seems to be a Welsh thing this) in England all meals come with rice or chips!

The Chinese meal was okay nothing special. The spring rolls were awful. The sausage dinner so- so - peas were hard and the proceed frozen sausages just deep fried ii seems in a square block. Staff not very chatty.

Recomiendo el Foo de gambas Young (totilla). Primavera panecillos crujientes y platos de carne. Rápido y servicio amable, muy agradable y ofrece una alternativa para comer fuera. A un precio razonable.

Have had food from here for a number of years and always enjoy it. The usual range of dishes on offer at the usual prices. The quality is always good and service is quick. No shredded duck with pancakes though :(

This takeaway is one of my favourites and we travel from Caernarfon to fetch it. The chicken fried rice is great and always nice when accompanied by their fabulous chop suey roll! One small thing though - no beef with ginger and spring onion on the menu.

The food was very good over a range of dishes. Comparable prices to other chinese takeaways I have used. Open when I wanted and opposite the Ty Gwyn pub, so you can enjoy a drink whilst waiting for your order

We normally use The Golden Bird Takeaway in Llanfairpwllgwyngyll which is very good but decided to try Deer Lake based on the review we read on Trip Advisor .The food was fine and well cooked and reasonably priced with friendly staff. We will alternate between each.

Ok, I have to say this has to be one of the best takeaways around in North Wales- I now live down in Chester and none of the takeaway compete with their special curry/rice – great tasting food and will continue to always order it! I’ve tried various takeaways around Chester and none of them compete or come on par with this takeaway- I cannot recommend enough – family have been going there for years! There special curry (please don’t change anything) – fresh spices/mixed with peppers / onion and various meats (excepct chicken) they do everything spot on whilst the ones in Chester do it the other way around no spice (bland)/lots of chicken try the river queen (Chester) if you don’t believe me! Honestly the 60mile drive is worth it to go down here! Try it out!
