I’ve only ever had takeaway but their toasted sandwiches are fantastic. So good. Really tasty and filling. The 3 cheese blend is so cheesy and tasty. And the cocktails are great. The Bloody Mary was the best I’ve ever had. Really recommend for breakfast and lunch.

One can only think of Haggis when they think of Scots and Burn's Night but if you are craving for some Haggis, you can get your fix at Leyton where they specialize in Haggis cheese toasties and Haggis breakfasts. As well as Haggis, they have it all like the Square sausage (Lorne sausage), potato scones as well as veggie haggis and Scottish Breakfast tea. It was a really difficult choice but I thought I would save breakfast for the next visit and have the haggis cheese toastie and some extra sides. Ended up choosing Macbeth over Hamish Macbeth because I wanted to appreciate the haggis but you can take it to the next level with an extra fried egg with the Hamish Macbeth which has bacon. Also, on the side, I ordered a square sausage, veggie haggis and tattie potato scones with Scottish tea. The haggis cheese toastie was seriously good as expected because the pairing of cheese and haggis is a match made in heaven, the mustard in it was a smart way of making it not so heavy but I didn't like the caramelized onions because I found them a bit sweet for my palate. To finish off, I had Scottish breakfast tea which is somewhat stronger than English Breakfast tea so it was a great way to wash down the toastie. Overall, a great place to have brunch with more seating downstairs and female toilets were thoughtfully equipped for the ladies. Pictures on blog.

This is a lovely Scottish cafe in Leyton. Decor is clean and modern. The space is quite small but there is downstairs seating as well. I always have a vegetarian haggis toastie here (they have a vegan and carnivorous version as well) because it's very tasty but they also have various breakfasts and a small but nice selection of cakes. Great choice for brunch.

Little piece of Scotland in north London! It was very busy on a Sunday afternoon. I opted for the hamish macbeth toastie - haggis, mustard, bacon, cheese. Being Scottish of course I love haggis. The toastie was delicious though, great quality. They do loads of non haggis this so don’t worry if you’re not a fan. Have a feeling all their food would be very good. Price was about what you’d expect to pay for this and the quality. Recommend for something different, great lunch spot.

Absolutely love the Hamish Macbeth toastie. We get it every single time! You do not often find decent square sausage in London either, but Deeny's serves it in a roll.

Came for a last minute hungover brunch on a Sunday - managed to walk in and grab a table easily (but it’s small so not sure if they’d be able to accommodate a proper group). The full fry was delicious - and there’s loads of it. The haggis is wonderful and everything is really good value. Super friendly staff too. Enjoy!

EXCELLENT Lady Macbeth. Incredibly savoury mix of veg haggis, cheese, caramelised onions and maybe horseradish. Devoured it so no picture! And at £6.50 for takeaway not badly priced at all!

I’m a regular at Deeneys Cafe and have tried pretty much all their toasties. Just thinking about it makes me salivate, it’s that delicious. My boyfriend ordered your full fry earlier today and almost orgasmed when trying the sausage (not trying to be saucy, just real honesty here). Packaging is great, delivery time always on point, it’s one of my fave spots for a quick and delicious lunch.

We stumbled across this place whilst on one of our September Steps Challenge walks and ravenous. It's a cute modern cafe with a Scottish slant. They do all sorts of fry-ups, burgers and toasted sandwiches, some with haggis. Had an excellent matcha latte and a 'Lady Macbeth' - a toastie with vegetarian haggis, mustard, caramelized onions & cheese. Soooo delicious. Husband liked his as well. I'd give this place 5* if it wasn't for the somewhat morose service (except for the girl with the red hair, who was lovely) and having to wait for ages before someone acknowledged and seated us. That aside, I would definitely come back.
