Amazing customer service with delicious quality of food 🙏🙏🙂‍↕️

1st visit, long walt and fish dryed out under heat lamps and chips undercooked. Very disappointed and had to throw most of meal away.

Had mixed kebab, salad and sauce, it was lovely. Impressed with the background story on the walls, these guys have a lot to live up to and it looks like it's going well. The place is clean and fresh, servers were friendly and on the ball, all good thanks

Great chips, good quantity also

we came from Redditch and on our day out we searched the closest chippy and deanos came up so thought we would try it and it's probably the best chippy me and my family have been to.. the chips were amazing and the food is generous portions too.. its definitely worth the travel just to eat here the staff are very friendly too we will definitely be back soon

Great quality food great staff and great prices

Service was good and staff were friendly. The establishment is very nice, it’s a tidy little shop with no seating. I really didn’t enjoy the food, it was on the dry side. The portion is quite large with chips the shape of small blocks, the gentleman put on two squirts of vinegar thru the chips and it tasted as expected. Dry. I like the when the fish is doused and wrapped by the time you get it home its turned into something so tasty, and that was missing here. The blocks of chips are a mouthful of flavorless fried potato. Standard fresh cut straight chip would be more desirable. I did have to bin it, it was too blah to eat. It came with a side of mushy peas, imagine if that was a mint chutney dip. It really would have woke my meal up.

Nice food . Not the quickest when serving . Hopefully it was just a one-off occurrence.. For food, I would definitely use again . Just make sure you’ve got cash when you go into there as they didn’t take card .

Yesterday, I visit in Deano's chippy and i tried Masala fish with my friend because i heard a lot about his masala fish. That was very nice with little bit lemon juice.

Fish was not cleaned properly and tasted very bland, soggy chips, £6.5 wasted….

We called in as moving house with a big order for hungry mouths to feed .. staff were friendly , efficient and very welcoming .. they took our order and dealt with it quickly .. food was excellent and we will be definitely be visiting again .. first class service with a smile ..

Nice place, busy but a good fast throughput! They recognise their regulars and check if they are wanting their usual. They check with me when I go in and by the time I get to the front, it's ready! Students and emergency services (blue lights) 10% discount.

I went to Deano's for the first time this evening after reading lots of previous positive reviews and I wasn't disappointed. Although it was busy, 5pm on a Saturday afternoon, we were kept updated regularly as to how long the food would take. The premises were clean and welcoming, just be aware that it is cash only! The food, cod and chips with curry sauce and mushy peas were really delicious. The batter on the fish was cooked to perfection with no soggy bits of batter. Chips were fresh and a good size portion also. Will definitely be going back!

This place was absolutely amazing. Some of the best fish and chips I’ve ever had in the uk, the kindest service, and the curry sauces?!? Amazing. 10/10 would come all the way from Canada again to eat here. And for the price we got SO MUCH! Cannot say enough good things.

Came her with my wife and works colleagues fresh from Canada. One which who is English and a veteran in finding the best fish and chips wherever he goes. And I can see 10/10. As a chef myself of 10 years sometimes I just want some home child comforts and this smashed it. The blend of enthnicity of chip shop classics with an Indian twist variety on there menu is something I will be taking myself into my kitchen to try an idea I have. Fish/ crispy, flakey and clean The fondant spicy whole potato! Irish curry sauce has more complexity than your regular And more! Service was impeccable with a inviting decorum, offered complimentary items as a “ please try this with confidence” as anyone who works in the industry wether it be in a small shop or restaurant knows that’s a good sign. If I’m ever in Coventry again I’ll be back! Louie black

I would say this is the best chip shop in Coventry great service great food I think they do food through uber eats and just eat but I'm not certain on that one as I always go to the shop myself it's very good I would recommend it to everyone well worth a visit you won't be disappointed.

Absolutely great Chippy. Food always excellent. Great friendly and helpful staff. Always busy for obvious reasons, very popular chippy. Their special Irish Curry sauce is worth a trip for alone. Although on my last visit I forgot it. I’m sure they’ll sort me out next time though 😉 Keep up the excellent service.

Love this chip shop, everything is always fresh, the staff are all extremely welcoming and the food is always piping hot. I will not eat the red meat in a kebab from any other chip shop ever but I love it from here! Highly recommend and Deano is always so helpful and friendly !

Got order wrong, too busy and waiting time was very long, food was disappointing and place was run without any apparent organisation or sign of an organised team working together. Many disappointed customers on the day of my visit with people leaving as left waiting unnerved for too long.

Well run family establishment, part of a city wide franchise and very good quality food with prompt service and absolutely brilliant Scallop Batches.

I recently went to DEANO'S chippy had fish and chips and the chef told me that he was using new season potatoes, which are on the bit of soft, but actually that were beautiful to taste and sweet, The fish was also very nice and crispy batter. Finally, well done to Deano & the team.

Sorry chip's needed cooking for a little longer a bit soggy could taste oil and scollup was stale sat there to long under lights

Just visiting from Manchester and this place is one of the best we've tried outside of Manchester itself, we ordered a mixture of food from mixed chicken & Lamb, lamb wrap, chips, fish, Irish curry sauce & tried a special potato dipped in fried chicken seasoning 10/10 all round staff also spot on👌🏼

Tried hadoke and chips cooked fresh which is what you want deano said was Scottish fish not frozen downt mind waiting chips we're good not like some I have had no chipping proper chips staff we're pleasant makes a difference would definitely recommend hope you do well downt forget to read story on wall while you are waiting

I had fish and chips, with a tray of mixed donner and chicken plus salad. All tasted great, Probably as good as the Poseidon chippy. The chips were nice and soft, the meat salad tray nicely laid out in rows. They do NHS discount with proof.

Beautiful, clear, very friendly staff, the staff is really great and made us feel home! Value for Money, excelent food. Large fish and chips portion with large chips are enough for two people eating well. I really loved it! As a Foreigner, for me needs more Salt, but it's a Standard UK salt level.

Every time I've been to this chippy it's been busy so food has constantly come out fresh. The fish that I have seen looks huge I will have to try it. Kebab meat , it was nice not as big a portion as the size that I'm used to from my regular chippy but can't complain. Lots of staff so the queue just go down quick and they are always very polite and friendly

I’ve used Deano’s chippy several times now and I must say that I've been consistently impressed not just with the great food, but also with the overall cleanliness of the place; the efficiency and friendliness of the staff employed here; and the friendliness and great customer service from (who I assume to be) Deano himself. The fish, chips, and mushy peas from here are always very tasty and come in generous portions (even the mini fish is a whopper), and the doner kebab and chips I had last night was equally delicious. The chips are the best I've had in ages, the kebab meat as tasty as you'll get, the salad fresh, clean and flavoursome, and the pitta bread soft, fresh and perfectly grilled. All-in-all a really TOP chippy in every respect, thanks!

We tried Deano's for the first time this evening. It was comfortably the nicest chippy we've had in the area in a long while. Big piece of fish, really good chips and friendly service. Good stuff!

Best chicken kebab in Coventry easily, even top notch pitta bread. Chips were lovely too. Going back tonight and if the fish is as good they easily have my money twice a week!!

An excellent first experience of Deano's Chippy on Queen Isabels Avenue. Pristine premises, excellent service, freshly prepared, and very tasty. The masala fish was good, as was the large cod. Sensible portions and student discount. They fry in vegetable oil. Apparently the meat is from a Turkish supplier and is halal. Haven’t tried that yet. Will definitely be back.
