Visited in a very quiet Weds lunchtime, as in we were the only clientele. Food was average.

Disgusting food here had food poisoning the food is truly vile they try hide this issue from other costumers and refuse to give any sort of refund for their horrible food

Excellent restaurant, prices are quite reasonable. Food tasted quite authentic (Indian). I would be going there again to taste other food on offer. Recommended!

Cocktails and service were really nice hence the food and service getting a 2. Ended up waiting over 40 minutes for some chips without warning which came cold and then when we complained we were promised new hot ones. Instead what we got was a wrinkly, chewy and clearly microwaved same dish we were served initially now as a soggy, floppy scalding mess. Also ordered some pani puri which was quite empty and even missing components specified in the menu. There was no sign of any chickpea in the dish at all and just seemed rushed to stop us from waiting. Quite disappointing to be honest because the general vibe of the place was really nice when we went in.

The food was excellent and the service was excellent situated in a beautiful building 👌

We went here for dinner and drinks. The food was superb, very flavoursome and came out piping hot. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. My only minor criticism (which is a personal one) is that you go to the bar to order, I would prefer it if they offered table service.

Just about everything was wrong. Pepi max was light brown, pint of cobra smelt of poo. Food was far from authentic, probably two worst currys ive ever tasted. Madras sauce was powdery, masala was neon red and flavourless. Chicken was overcooked, dry af. Lamb was grissly. Music loud, had to raise voice to talk. If you want genuine good Indian dishes, go elsewhere. Amazed by other reviews about the food. Despite the funky decor, complete flop

Smart, modern indian street food bar. Basically indian tapas! Fast service and very tasty dishes. Probably the best spicy chicken wings i have eaten! Would definitely recommend a visit.

Made the horrible mistake of ordering in from this place last night. The chicken tikka masala was a big 0/10. No where close to being authentic, it was literally as if they dished up some chunks of chicken in some blended canned tomatoes. Not to forget how excruciatingly sweet it was too. I also ordered a coriander garlic naan which was a good 7/10 and some crispy chicken wings which were probably the best thing in the order and I’d rate it a good 8/10. But the main dish being such a disappointment has discouraged me from ever going back to this place again.

Enjoyed a few starters to share with a friend and they were all delicious and great value for money - will definitely be back to check out the main dishes!

Poor experience. Relatively quiet for a Saturday but the service was so slow. Long delays in getting the starters and then mains. When our mains were served part order was missing the restaurant was closing but we were late in being served due to delays. One one red and one white wine option. No itemised bill was given at the end when asking for the bill. Just a card reader thrown at us and told they were closing. Poor all round

Service without a smile, staff are not friendly or welcoming regardless of how polite/friendly you may be to them. Huge amounts of red food paste/red food colouring used in the paneer, it was so off-putting and really uneccesary. Little flavour to the food other than salt and to be honest I wouldn't recommend this restaurant nor return. This isn't authentic Indian food by far.

Properly authentic Indian food, with some fusion stuff thrown in. Had three dishes from the street food selection and was super impressed with the flavour and presentation. Incredible value for money and a decent pint too.

Avoid like the plague. Was told to get a delivery through uber. Spent £70 and just got a message couldnt find us. Hungry family , rang restaurant and they just cut off phone. Only valued if you eat in. Please avoid this place terrible.

It was last saturday night I was running out of time and at the same time I was craving for some indian food and then I saw lazy monkey near to the train station. It was a great experience being there everything was on the dot. Food was extraordinary with a great ambience. I will be back soon. Thank you.

Tried this place tonight. Absolute terrible experience. Had to wait 1 hour for the food. The plates were dirty with bits of food, had to send back. Dum biryani was one of the worst - overcooked and tasted like pressure cooked tomato rice. Disappointed :(

My visit to The Lazy Monkey Bar & Indian Kitchen was a tasty adventure. We ordered a variety of dishes, and I must say, the flavors were on point. The burger was nice and mild, a safe choice. But what really stood out for us was the Samosa Chat - my wife loved it. It had that perfect blend of tangy and spicy. As for me, I couldn't get enough of the Loaded Fries with Butter Chicken. The combination of crispy fries and that rich butter chicken sauce was a taste explosion that I won't soon forget. The food hit the spot in terms of taste, and we left with satisfied taste buds. If you're looking for flavorful bites, definitely give the Pani Puri, Samosa Chat and the Loaded Fries a try.

Good place for some food/early dinner. It was very quiet, the food and cocktails were nice. And it’s close to the station if you need a place for food before a train

Nice atmosphere, helpful staff, and good selection of drinks, wouldn't expect much from the food however, it's competent and will fill you up in a pinch but wouldn't be my first choice.

For uncooked oven chips £4.50. Chilli Burger patties was really dry, served with uncooked beans also asked for vegan cheese got no cheese at all. Waiter spilled my drink on our table, didn't bother to bring us tissue to clean it up. Food and service needs improvement, toilets are disgusting. Never coming back.

We had our Christmas work meal here, it was my first time here. The atmosphere was great, the food was not too bad but some of it very dry and good drinks. Once they address the issue of food then the 3* score will definitely increase.

Very friendly staff but once we ordered a chicken burger and it was burned and extremely dry. It was actually impossible to eat it. However the customer service is great and I really like this place.

A great experience! Service was fantastic, quick and friendly. The place had a comfortable modern feel. I had the chicken bro burger, which was really nice. A side of pulled pork, which blew my mind. Already planning my next visit to make most of the cocktails and to try rest of the menu.

Thought I'd take my son for a pint and a bite to eat, all I can say is we are both glad we chose the lazy monkey, excellent food and service. We had pulled pork burger, chilli burger, hallumi side and also some sticky chicken wings. And a couple of pints. Wow what lovely taste food, we both said how nice the food was and that the burger was the nicest burger we've had in ages. Needless to say the food was devoured in literally minutes *****

Top notch. Burgers are awesome. The hotdogs are huge. Waiter was very friendly and helpful. The place is very sleek and clean looking while still having personality and the music was all killer no filler. Thoroughly enjoyed the visit and looking forward to going again to try other items on the menu.

I ordered the Classic Bro burger and the classic fries with beef chilli. The patties were completely overcooked and dry, I guess they use frozen meat so they don't have a choice. The fries weren't bad but the chilli was pathetic, it's just sautéed ground beef with undercooked black beans. Literally no one would call this chilli. Very underwhelming.

Had a burger fries and milkshake. Bun was stale. Patty had shrunk a lot during cooking. It was very under seasoned. Chips were fine. Chocolate shake was over sweet and bland. Won't be trying again unfortunately. Customers SHOULD do whatever they please

I went there thinking they had the Indian food. The menu on their website when I pick Indian Kitchen still shows Warwick Row. I had a veg bro burger, it was horrible. The spicy fried were nice and the staff friendly.

It's decent. Burgers were quite dry tho, prices a little questionable for food but nothing to complain over, perfectly servicable. Drinks wise seemed well priced and good range. Nice location and bar, relaxed and upmarket.

My boyfriend ordered for us from their kitchen that we never heard of this place, because the menu was funny. When the delivery has arrived, we looked at the burgers so impressed, they making them waaay better looking than the world wide food chain commercials and the taste just as it looks never let us down, I have never eaten such good quality burger before and it was full filling for the belly and didn’t gave me digestion issues. The fries are nice and the milkshake was creamy and tasty. We will order from them often and hopefully we could visit the bar when lockdown opens

Ordered from the Burger Bros @ the Lazy Monkey and it was SO good! fast delivery on uber eats & probably the best burgers ever. Dirty fries were so nice too. Would recommend & definitely will eat from here again. Very big burger size, regular size fries but super yummy.

Working from home can get tough, so thought let's grab lunch, the service was fast and I pre-ordered. When I got there with my brother, the food came out straight away, and at the right temperature. COVENTRY HIDDEN GEM!!! Best cocktails in Coventry, and 2 for £10 all the time! Plus they let you mix and match not like las iguanas. They also do Indian food which I’m going to try next time, definitely recommend for drinks though. UPDATE: First time back in after lockdown. The food is just wow! Such fresh flavours and interesting combinations, I will definitely be a regular.

Tried the lazy monkey today for the very first time. Pani Puri, punjabi pakoreh, samosa chaat and vada pev off of the street food menu were all amazing. I would recommend this place to anyone. Clean and modern place. Great service and excellent, well priced food.

Cosy and friendly, The Lazy Monkey is a great place to have lunch, dinner or have a drink! They offer any 2 cocktails for £10 all day. The menu is Indian meets west and the service is brilliant. Definitely would recommend

Very tasty Fish and masala chips, although chips were not as hot as could have been!

This place is quite unique and has plenty of potential just let down by surly waiting staff. I walked in and said I had a booking to which a tall guy with funny hair responded" I can't hear you mate." Not the best start and to be honest the service didn't really improve. The same guy brought our food and cleared our table and was just plain miserable. I hope he doesn't rely on tips because I can't imagine him earning much. Coventry is crying out for quality independent eateries and I hope the owners realise it's not just about good food. It's about the whole experience and quality staff play a big part in that. I won't be going back or recommending it I'm afraid.

Went here for the first time on Saturday 25th January and I was very impressed. Decor is on point and the service was very quick and friendly. It was quite busy but easily found a seat. You order your food and drinks at the bar using your table number and pay straight away. Cocktails are brought to your table. I ordered a Chicken Tikka wrap with mint sauce and chips. The food arrived within 10 minutes and was very tasty and filling. Cocktails are £7.50 each or two for a tenner. I ordered two, of course! Would definitely come here again and I highly recommend it if you want quick, tasty Indian street food. The place is in easy reach of the city centre and the train station.

Crispy chicken wings were best I've had! Masala chips were also a big hit but could have done with a bigger portion. Cocktails were amazing in taste and value. All in all a great experience and will visit again.
