All amazing. Very tasty and not overpriced. Staff super nice. Plenty of parking in smaller roads near restaurant. Tandoori chicken very authentic. Would come again.

The food was amazing. The restaurant is small but well laid out. The staff were friendly and attentive.

Went for a meal with my missus, everything is really nice we both liked it. Food tasty, plenty of options, vegetarian selections too. Josh and his team was really friendly and kind. Would come again. The one thing to mention is that I'd like a bit of Indian music, could be mixed with English too.

One of the best curries in Leeds Get the cheesy naan!

Amazing food. The makhan paneer and chana Ros were absolutely delicious! Also had the popcorn chaat, sev puri, roasted garlic cheese naan and the onion coriander naan. All meals were amazing. Staff were very friendly. Only thing I would say is the roasted garlic cheese naan could have done with a slightly more garlicky flavour. Food came out fast as well! Overall, great experience, reasonable prices. We got two mains, a starter, a nibble, and 3 naans between 3 people and that was plenty of food.

Had solo dinner here last night the food and service was outstanding only issue for me was I kinda was forgotten about when the restaurant became busy only 2 members of staff waiting on which resulted in me waiting to be served longer to the point of me abandoning ordering a dessert, even asked 3 times for more water, ended up paying and leaving. Shame really could do with more staff waiting on.

Food was authentic and the service was on time. Jas made us feel comfortable and well served.

Fantastic place, service and food

One of the aspects of Indian restaurants that I absolutely love is when an establishment moves away from the “traditional” English stereotype of paper tablecloths and a tired old set menu. De Baga is a shining example of modern Indian eating! Complete with OG drinks like Thums Up! Would highly recommend for friendly staff, great service and good food!

I had recently attended the restaurant with my partner. We ordered 2 curries with 2 starter options, and 2 drinks. We found that for the quality of the food that we had received, the place was not worth its cost. We had ordered the paneer bao buns (as we order these all the time) and thought it lacked flavour, and felt to doughy for what they should have been. The overall dinner was ok, the biriyani was alright (the raitha was good but was surprised there was no side curry dish included within the price). The rice was overpriced for its flavour. I am not sure if I would go again but was atleast happy that we had gotten served in an ok time.

Fabulous meal - from the poppadoms to the naan - delicious flavours, beautifully prepared and great flavours. Loved the mutton curry, beetroot and pomegranate raita and chicken biryani.

The food here is different to all the other Indian Restaurants we have eaten in and it is so much tastier. The staff were very friendly and proud of the food they were serving.

I can't speak highly enough about this place. Firstly the staff are amazing. They are attentive whilst keeping their distance but always there to serve. Secondly the food is amazing. I think this place is the best Indian restaurant I've been to and that is said based on a huge amount of others. Keep up the good work, I will return soon.

This is the go to for authentic indian food. My flat is a few blocks and would come back in the future. The nann and chicken were splendid. Sweet and savory.

I got the house curry and my friend got the nh66 mutton curry, both were absolutely stunning. From Bradford, I'm not short of curry places, but this one is by far the best I've had. Would definitely come here again!

If you want an authentic Goan curry,then come here! This is one of the best Indian restaurants you will ever come to in this country (for the money, obviously) Their food is so full of flavour. Come here and experience it...you won't be disappointed.

We went for a curry in Headingley. I had the house curry with caramelised onion naan. I chose the latter because it sounded quite different. Unfortunately I couldn’t detect any caramelisation of the onions and it ended up tasting like naan bread with raw onion. The curry was an unappetising shade of grey. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great. Half way through our meal I was informed that the restaurant had run out of lager (both bottled and draught) which caused a lot of disappointment (A curry house without lager?). I switched to wine only to see someone order lager a few minutes later. I mentioned it and was told the server didn’t know which items on the menu were lagers.

We had a wonderful dinner experience at the chapel allerton branch of De Baga with the launch of their new menu!! The staff are really kind and attentive and of Mino the manager is always welcoming everyone with a smile and a chat! The food is extraordinary. Food is delicious and keeps you licking your fingers. It's so light and non greasy that you would never need a take away box to pack any leftovers and there won't be any leftovers! We had a lovely time and were treated so well by the staff. I would recommend the sev puri, bhutta bhel, garlic naan, chana masala, malai chicken, and most of all the malai kofta (absolutely delicious). For dessert definitely try the matka kulfi and my FIL was a fan of the pineapple flambe!! Thank you de baga team for such a lovely dining experience!!!!

Great service and wonderful food. Don’t expect run of the mill Pakistani food as is the norm in Leeds. This is proper Indian cuisine with a modern twist. Spectacular battered king prawns to start for me and the most delicious little sweet potato bhaji parcels for my companion. For main the best mutton curry this side of Goa beautiful saffron rice with a delicious chickpea dish for my companion accompanied by the lightest naan. Carrot fudge desert to die for. This is 5 star eating at normal restaurant prices. The servers know the food in detail and can explain what’s in each dish if you’re in any doubt what to order. Whatever you order you will certainly enjoy.

What can I say about this fabulous restaurant. It was a little late and we were looking for something to eat. The front of house staff were very accommodating (despite the time) and the food was absolutely amazing. Would highly recommend this place to anyone. Fabulous stuff.

1st visit to De Baga Chapel Allerton, following everyone telling me how great it was, and I now see why De Baga is the talk of the town for Indian Food. Fantastic food, service and decor and fully appreciate and agree with the hype. I would honestly say it’s the best Indian restaurant in Leeds and can’t wait to visit De Baga again. We had the lamb and chicken curries with tandoori roti and would recommend this to order.

I went for Valentine’s Day…. And it was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The atmosphere was lovely the staff were amazing and the food was delicious. If you haven’t been, you must. I can’t wait to come again. Roses were even handed out at you walked out. It was perfect!!

Massive fan of all asian food so I was a little disappointed with my first visit to this restaurant considering the majority of positive reviews. The service and the waitress were pleasant. Drinks were good. The two of the starters were very nice which were the sev puri and bao buns, the third was just battered and deep fried veg not a bhaji as described. I was looking forward to a friiter style bhaji. The mains really disappointed us. The first dish had two prawns and two fish fingers worth of fish for £18. The second veg dish tasted slightly better but just had pieces of hard root veg and some peas. 20% off the bill made it easier to swallow. You always feel short changed if you don't eat meat in restaurants like this. If you don't eat meat I'd give this a miss.

The naans were good. Palak paneer a bit bland(not talking about chills). I ordered the chicken biryani. It came in a bowl sealed with bread on top (I don't know how to describe it). There was cubes of fried chicken in a well spiced rice. It does taste nice but not biriyani. They have Jal jeera which was quite good. I didn't try, but there's one chat option as well. They also have vegan options. Some potato curry. It was good.

We booked de Baga for a family birthday meal out, as we’d seen the great reviews. Food was excellent - beautifully presented biryanis presented with a naan cover, creamy spinach and paneer dahl, mocktails beautifully presented, and a dessert which was delicious. The staff went the extra mile to make us feel welcomed, both us and our teens loved the atmosphere. A super night which we will always remember.

Fabulous India restaurant in Chapel Allerton, Leeds. It's the second time I've been and on both occasions the food and service were excellent. Great vegetarian choices. An absolute must if you're in the facinity.

It was our 5th visit to this place, and we were quite disappointed with the service. Although the food was amazing as always, the service was quite poor. We had to ask 4 times for tap water, one starter was missing and once we finished eating, we were sat for over an hour without being asked if we needed anything else. And no, it wasn't busy at all.

Some of the best Indian food I’ve enjoyed in England. If you are in Leeds, this is worth a visit!

Had a party of 25 for our sports club Xmas do and everything was fantastic. Service was fast and well organised and the food was amazing. Would highly recommend, everyone was great. The cocktails are particularly fab.

Prawn curry was good, soft and juicy! Crab was smelling, not washed/cleaned well before cooking, we were disappointed! Too big chunks of paneer for starter menu. Chicken curry was below average standard.

Returning customer and love the menu, enjoyed trying my first biryani recently. Service was with a smile and dishes rich in flavour with good options for vegetarians. Would be good to see hot drinks on the menu too. It was a shame the back door was left open for ages with below freezing temperatures outside, but overall a gem in Headingley high street.

This was a really good curry - the food is Goan in style but really nicely cooked, good quality ingredients and lovely flavours. The house chicken curry was great - a nice subtle mix of mint and coriander with a decent kick of chilli but nothing too hot or aggressive. We also had the Makhan Murgi - another chicken dish but this is a delicious honey, tomato and fenugreek sauce which was smokey, slight hint of chilli and a real pleasure to eat. The naan and rice were perfect too. Plenty of choice on the drinks menu, decent wines and 3-4 beers and cocktails too. The service was friendly, attentive and quick despite the place being fully booked out on a Friday night - so well done to the team. We got chatting to one of the crew and they were explaining their idea of lighter curries that make you feel energised and not over-full and weighed down. It was spot on really - very true. The atmosphere was lively with a really mixed and laidback crowd who were all having a good time chatting away and enjoying the food. Really recommend this place and I will be coming back next time I'm in Leeds, no doubt.

Its a small spot but I couldn't fault this place. Brilliant Goan food, (the Lamb Xacuti was one of the best Ive had for some time), and the staff were amazing. Try the Bombay IPA as well...superb and highly recommended.Will visit again the next time we stay at Headingley.Thanks again

Outstanding, visited on a recommendation and frankly it surpassed our expectations real mutton full of flavour properly cooked and fresh popadoms cooked correctly (a rare thing) perfect puri, having lived in Goa and travelled much of India I can honestly say this is amongst the best Indian food you can find anywhere in the world (big statement hence I waited24 hrs before writing it !) … my guests were blown away by the flavours the staff are superb, knowledgable and some are actually Goan !

Honestly the best curry I’ve ever had…and I’ve had a few. So flavoursome and all the other options looked great too. The beer selection was really unique and complemented the curry really well. Very reasonably priced given the quality. Can’t wait to go back!

De Baga is the best curry I have ever had, by a mile. Every single time (at the Headingley restaurant) they are absolutely spot on. Nice family-run vibe, great staff and perfect food. And the prices are VERY fair for what you get, top notch food in generous quantities, which they will happily pack up for you to take home. This is the best curry house in Leeds by far, for me.

Yum! Really delicious, creative food with plenty of veggie & vegan options …no wonder the restaurant was completely packed even on a Tuesday night! I went as part of of big group; the restaurant was brilliant about taking a booking for us (with no deposit) and checking in on final numbers the day before. Our table was ready on arrival and staff were incredibly attentive the whole night. Can’t wait to go back!

Small place if u are in large group (more than 10) then this will be very small restaurant and small kitchen, but the staff here is good

Always a great time at De baga. Can get quite busy at around 19:00, however it is worth the wait for the food and service.

OMG! The dishes are rich and luxurious tasting. I strongly recommend eating here. It's quite superb.
