Not been for a couple of years, thought we would give it another go as our usual one at cranswick was closed. Fish was actually really nice but the portion size was a complete rip off for the price, 4 fish and chips and a portion of chips nearly 40 quid and even my kids were still hungry once we had eaten them. Other chipys are better

blooming heck we went for the small portion of fish and chips, are you kidding us? it was a huge portion and you can tell the oil is fresh that it is cooked in. wow factor for us dave and next time we are in the Hull area we are comming after you for another fab portion. Totaly the Best fish and chips served ever and we mean it, xx

I visit the van regularly when it is in Middleton on the Wolds. Some of the best fish and chips I have eaten even though the cooking facilities must be restricting due to the small space inside the van.

If you want good quality fish and chips then go for a quick takeaway. All the local Hull specials are also available. Quick service and piping hot!

Absolutely love the new fish goujons from here. Was introduced to them in June and always buy them now. I prefer smaller pieces of fish so these for me are brilliant. The staff are always friendly and of what I have seen everything is clean and the food is not overpriced.

We used this place for the first time last week . All i can say is WHAT HAVE WE BEEN MISSING. Everything was so nice and the patties are the best ive tried in hull by far. We had fish, chips,sausage, Pattie all where spot on the only thing i could say is the gravy which is good dont get me wrong could be a little better but that is really nitpicking. Will be back for sure

Bought fish and chips from this van which comes to Cherry Burton. Very disappointing. Fish was overlooked and dry, why do they take the skin off in this area? Chips were bitty. Tried a few times to see if things improved but it hasn't so won't be bothering again.

Mobile fish van, which is clean and appears well prepared. The Fish and chip special is great value @ a fiver. The portions sizes are good, the fish tasty, batter light and chips good. Friendly staff that make conversation. Would definitely revisit.

Tried this fish and chip mobile first in March... and have been returning on more than one occasion.... the food is fantastic as well as an ever impressive welcoming and service from all staff.. 5*

Come every Wednesday to the fish van rather with the kids or on my way to work, exellent service from the ladies and the food is lovely fish is really white and tasty so you can tell it's all fresh. Deffo a 5* from me

First time I visited Dave's Mobile Fish & Chip Van .... near Kingswood School just of the roundabout, the customer service from ( Jemma ) and the freshness of frying ( Christina ) was both 5*. It was so exquisite it's more than to the standard of any restaurant, we shall definitely be returning in the future.

Dave's was recommended by a friend who said it was a good Fish Shop i noticed that the advert said Dave's had a mobile unit as well which was different The shop is relatively newly opened and a great choice is on the menu We had fish and chips which were very very hot with the fish batter nice and. crispy and well drained i would recommend Dave's fish shop to anyone a very clean shop and the staff are very friendly Give it a try

After months of trying to find a fish and chip shop my 85yr old gran approved of I finally found Dave's. I tried many before and never got good feedback from her then I took her some of Dave's Fish and chips and she loved it. The prices are very fair and the portions or very generous. We all got large fish and chips, the chips were nicely cooked and the fish was the whitest fish I've had. We now visit for our fortnightly treat. I would rate it 10/10 my gran gave it 9.5/10 because " I never give anything 10/10" 😁. Defo try this chip shop you will not be disappointed.

I visited "Dave's Fish and Chip Shop" on Spring Bank West today. Awesome Lunch (Very Tasty).Top Quality and really good price. I will defiantly be visiting again. Dave's van provided the catering at a surprise 50th birthday party at the village hall in Foston-on-the Wolds, East Yorkshire. The fish & chips were hot, crispy, no bones or skin and served with a tub of vert nice mushy peas. Fabulous, friendly service, super-clean and perfect for the occasion. Will definitely recommend you.

Comes to our village every Wednesday. Always great batter and excellent chips. Can't beat them on price either. Always have them when we have friends and family staying, they all comment on how good they are.

Dave came to a garden party that we hosted and provided fish and chips for 50 people. Delicious fish and chips and brilliant service from Dave. Very easy to organise and good value. Everyone loved the fish and chips!!! Great option for a party!

Love this place, it is becoming a family favourite. Great fish, white and fluffy and the most light and crispy batter. Not at all greasy too. And I have to say, THE best mushy peas in the world. All served with a smile
