Really great as ever , no pressure just good value. Spot on everytime 👌 , our boys love the Fish Bites 🐟 and the battered Sausage. 10/10. Simply the BEST ,service with a Smile. Been there night for tea and not disappointed , it was fab and always a good quantity 😌. I love the fish bits and chips they are a good size and well cooked.😋

Been going here for years, absolutely unreal food with an amazing service! You can really tell there is a passion for perfection at Daves. Usually go for cheesy chips with garlic sauce but have been getting the pizzas which are the best in the whole of consett area, nice base and generous toppings, with the added extra of not being greasy and the toppings dont fall off. Staff will always go the extra mile to make sure your food is exactly how you like it. I also NEVER get fish and chips but seeing the fish at Daves I got myself one and finished the full thing, batter and all, i normally hate other fish shop batter. The new food on the menu is unreal! Loaded fries i has yesterday were the best I have ever had. And the new donuts are to die for! From cholestrol, because I am going for more!

Probably used Dave’s about 5 times in as many years ( when we are camping locally) It’s been very consistent in my experience. Big portions of Cod and pretty good. Batter is a little bit oily but tastes fresh ( we take it back to the campsite, and like most fish and chips, it’s better to eat asap!) Service always seems efficient. I would recommend and will go back next camping trip, when I’ve had enough of cooking for the family!

Never given a 5 star review before (I am British after all) but I bought done fish and chips here as I was staying nearby and they were the best I have had since 2 years ago in Whitby. Very crisp batter on fresh fish and perfectly cooked chips with mushy peas. Superb! Oh yes, very friendly service with a smile too.

Karl Barton I was in when you were. And dave told us the chips were in cooking.. You waited 5mins and stormed off. Never had bad food from here and they are nice and friendly. Even suggested me to ring up and order my fish if I wanted.. As dave knew we had short unchtimes available. Spot on food

Up North visiting friends of my husband and we were passing by this area en route back to our home down south . We were advised to call into Dave's to sample the food before hitting the long road ahead . We were certainly not disappointed . Absolutely delicious food . Well cooked . And so obviously well prepared. The shop was spotlessly clean and my husband said staff were so friendly plus the queue of people and obvious phone calls requesting deliveries were proof of the success of the establishment. My husband ,Steve had the fish and chips and commented that the fish was delicious and about the size of a whale . I am very fussy about kebabs but after reviews I had read I opted to give one a go . It was delicious . Lovely meat topped with chilli sauce and very fresh salad . Two very happy eaters . .

I have purchased from Daves for years now . I love his Doner Kebabs with fresh salad . The meat is just right ....never too dry or too greasy. We have ours with Daves own recipe chilli sauce . They certainly dont scrimp on portion size either . Delicious . My grandson was staying here and he ordered a Doner with garlic sauce and said it was the best he'd ever had . He also loves the pizzas from Daves . The fish is absolutely gorgeous , always boneless and cooked perfectly . Chips are fresh home style chips and can be bought with food of your choice. And the curry sauce is to die for . This is by far the best chippy around . My family who live in various parts of the U.K. are all in agreement . Jas and the staff are lovely and always friendly and curteous . Delivery always on time . Highly recommended *****
