Stopped in on the off chance before we went to the cinema. 2 starters, 2 pizzas, side order of chips, Coke and a bottle of perroni....£29! The pizzas were lovely and a real nice place to sit. Thoroughly recommend to get a bite before the cinema

Nice restaurant and attentive staff. There were a few of us and we ordered various starters and mains. My starter was bruschetta it tasted and presented lovely but just one very small piece of bread. I always have this as a starter if on menus but so disappointed with the portion. My pizza was lovely though so made up for it. Some friends had spaghetti dishes and they were disappointed with the portions. They were still hungry after this. So apart from portion sizes it was a restaurant we would definitely visit again. The prices were great but one request can you have pizza knives please.

Four of us felt like a break and decided to give D'Antonio's a go. As it was at about 4,30pm we qualified for the "Happy hour" choice of food. The starter of potato skins was delicious, as was the prawn cocktail. The main courses were quite adequate, I had the seafood risotto which was very good, the others had Pizza, Lasagne and Pasta carbonara. Each quite nice but not exceptional. The carbonara sauce seems to contain cream, not at all the way an italian would make it. However the whole bill was most reasonable and the extremely young staff were delightful although obviously still under training. The decor is excellent, as good as it was under Prezzo, the previous restaurant on this site, very clean, fresh and inviting. We will return here to sample more of their food as it is superb value for money.

Sunday evening visit before cinema. My son and I really enjoyed our food here. Really good value for money. The potato skins where delicious as starters and our spaghetti mains were equally good. Young friendly staff and a nice chilled atmosphere.

Me and my two girls went for the £2.50 pizza/pasta deal. Kids 3 course meal £4 so not bad at all. They had potato skins, pasta bolognaise and one had ice cream the other chocolate mousse. I had mushroom toast for a starter and carbonara for a main. Portions looked small but after I’d finished I was full. I also had a glass or their house red which was lovely and for dessert I had tiramisu. The starters and mains where very nice and I’d go back for it but the dessert were disappointing. It has clearly been bought in and I think if it were homemade it would’ve much tastier. Service was good, very friendly and attentive servers.

While staying at the local Premier Inn we walked past d'Antonio's at lunch time. They do not serve midweek lunches and we decided to return for dinner. The menu is in Italian and English but the staff we met only knew the English names for the dishes. Being very hungry we ordered starters, three mains (one to share) and two desserts. We both had prawn cocktail to start, which was very good. Unusually it was not accompanied by any bread. I had lasagne as my main course, which I can thoroughly recommend. My partner had chicken and mushroom risotto. That too was recommended. I was offered a taste and agree that it was good. We shared a garlic prawn spaghetti. The sauce and seasoning were wonderful and there were plenty of prawns, but sharing spaghetti was perhaps not the best idea. For dessert I had lemon and almond tart. The tart came under a thick blanket of icing sugar. I removed as much of the excess sugar as I could and the tart itself was very good. I would order the same again but ask them to omit the sugar. My partner ordered the sticky toffee pudding. That too was a slight disappointment. What came resembled a golden syrup sponge. Apparently it was good but not what was expected. To summarise, the starters and mains were great but the desserts were a little disappointing. Armed with that knowledge we would definitely go back.

Visited at the weekend and we know this is a brand new restaurant so were happy to expect a few teething problems.. of which we did encounter many. We ordered starters and mains. The young girl had to reconfirm our order twice and yet we still had a feeling the wrong order would come out which it did. Anyway she is a young girl probably her first job so it's fine she will improve. The food however we aren't quite so willing to forgive. The veg lasagne was bitter and nasty and for some reason had been baked on a plate and not in a lasagne dish. Side salad was served in a ramakin dish oddly. The pizza my son had was just awful. It was dough in the middle and over done on the top and dry. The tomato garlic bread and husband's pizza was also very doughy and undercooked. The potato skins were really nice though. The decor in the restaurant is beautiful and really upmarket!

This is a new restaurant that has replaced Prezzo, went last night for the first time before going to the Cinema next door and was pleasantly surprised. Was greeted with a very warm welcome I had a starter of potato skins with garlic mayo + blue cheese dip this was gorgeous main meal was steak served with mushrooms, tomato and peppercorn sauce and a side order of fries, This was cooked to perfection one of the best I’ve had!, didn’t have room for a dessert this time maybe next time.Overall a great restaurant, spacious, very nice decor, lovely attentive but not overbearing staff, fab food and great prices, will most definitely be going on a regular basis from now on to try the pizzas and pastas.Loved it 💖👍

The food was almost inedible. I think the McDonald’s over the road would have been better value for money. The staff were lovely and helpful, it was the food which was terrible.
