Damascus Legend in Birmingham

Best food on Stratford road! We haven’t got the pictures but we had the platter for 2 it was really good! Big portion and the food was amazing! My sister isn’t fond of Turkish food, but she said she would definitley have that again.

My husband and I have been dining at Damascus Legend for several years. I can honestly say you will not find better anywhere else. The food is consistently excellent. The owner is probably one of the nicest people you will ever meet. I cannot recommend this eatery enough. Any where else in Birmingham you would most definitely pay a lot more. Service always with a smile. Always made to feel extremely welcome too. A real gem.

Food quality was good. Wing, chicken cube was juicy. Lamb kebab was very nice.

Food is fresh. Excellent food. Large portions. Enjoyed the crunchy rice. Excellent service.

lamb shawarma - good Chicken shish - dry and overcooked

First time eating here, the food was top notch. Best shawarma and chicken steak I've had in a long time, definitely best one I've had so far around Birmingham. Will definitely be back here. I only wish that they'd serve some items as on its own too, but other than that, excellent food and service, with such a simple menu.

We came from London and didn’t know any good places to eat so we decided to try here. The food was so yummy food and service was lovely - the man was very friendly. The shawarma was so flavourful, I’ll never forget its taste.

MashAllah food is always delicious. Platter 2 is amazing.

We have tried the mixed shawarma, mixed platter and the chicken steak. The food is amazing. Certainly one of the best shawarma I have ever tried in UK. The price and the amount of food is as the name suggests “legendary”. The meat is well cooked, perfectly seasoned. The stuffs are delightful. The restaurant has a bery good atmosphere to have a nice warm dine in experience. Definitely our go to place Inn sha Allah.

Halal arabian restaurant specialising in grilled meat. Food was good but I wouldnt say amazing. Customer service was excellent and the staff are very friendly. There are few tables to eat in and toilets are a letdown. There isnt any parking space opposite the restaurant. I would recommend their wings and chicken kebab. Those side sauces were good. The price is very reasonable. If you found this review helpful then a like would be greatly appreciated.

Visited Damascus Legend a few times and never been disappointed with the food. It's what you see is what you get. A place with reasonable decor and reasonable prices but great food. The 2 person platter is a generous portion for two people as you enjoy the food and don't over eat.

Shawarma is delicious. Definitely best in town. Owner and staff are very humble and kind. Highly recommended.

The food was really good, well seasoned with the freshness of herbs in the kebabs and the rice. Unfortunately, we couldn't get any mezze other than spicy hummus.

Shawarma was very juicy and tasty, and the owner was very welcoming. Generous portion sizes. Would definitely recommend and come here again!

Thank you replying First of all Your chef was too rude ,there was no service person. ,If your staff want to watch football match give them some break time .I have asked for shawarma separate but it was mixed with platter .

Ordered the lamb shawarma plate, portion size was good but it definitely wasn't lamb, meat was chewy and over cooked as you can see from the pictures. Disappointed as when it first opened I liked their food but it seem the quality has gone down.

Damascus Legend is a hidden gem of Birmingham. Genuine BBQ made on coals with unique flavour. Affordable price. Easily accessible by any bus just next to Piccadilly cinema on Stratford Road. You can’t miss it. For just £20, you get a platter to feed 3-4 people. The rice is spiced and made in stock. The lentil soup is just amazing. The dessert won’t disappoint you. It is home-made food delivered with warmth. Cool ambience like home. The aroma of coal scintillates your senses. It is under-rated food in the heart of Birmingham. Food is amazing especially wings are out of this world. And the chefs are most expert I have ever seen. the TV interview of Corbyn. I would like to know which channel was that on

Decent little place. We ordered a chicken shawarma wrap and the chicken was so soft and very flavoursome. Would be back to try other things off the menu. Would recommend.

We tried all three lamb dishes, lamb shish with rice, lamb kebab and lamb shawarma. Kebab was tender and tasty, lamb shawarma was mouth watering, the lamb shish was cooked to perfection, juicy and tasty. Chafik is an expert at the grill. Chafik is friendly and accommodating felt very much at home. We will definitely come back.Both the fries and rice is a wonderful tasty side to our lamb dishes

Ordered Mix Platter It contained mix Shawarma, 1 Chicken Steak, 1 skewer Lamb Tikka, 1 skewer Chicken Tikka, 1 skewer Chicken Wings, 3 skewers mix Kofta ( Chicken and Lamb) served with Rice or Chips. The Platter was abit of a hit and miss. Chicken Steak was abit bland for my liking but the rest of the food was delicious especially the Chicken Wings and Lamb Shawarma. 🔥🔥🔥

The most cutest spot. Amazing food Masha’Allah. I had the lamb kebab it was so tasty a must try. My friend had the lamb shawarma and I’m just about to order that to takeout for the second time this week. The restaurant is clean and well maintained. Polite members of staff is always a plus. Definitely one to try out. The prices are very very good also.

Had chicken steak with rice from their and the was the best chicken steak I ever had, it sooo tasty, can’t explain with words ,I will definitely go back there again.

I have ordered from this place on many occasions and each time it's been as good as the last. In the photo is the big mixed platter. It comes with chicken and lamb sheesh, wings both chicken and lamb shawarma, chicken steak and wings. Everything in it tastes amazing. Syrian food can be bland at times but this is absolutely not. The kebabs are very tasty and the shawarma is delicious. Good portion, will feed 3 to 4 people easily. The sauces are very very nice especially the garlic sauce. It delivers well and is well priced too. Fries are hit or miss but they're not the main attraction.

Best middle eastern food by Miles. Honestly no need to go anywhere else the food here is absolutely amazing. You will not be disappointed.

Spicy hummus and soup for starters. Salmon, Sea Bass, half Chicken and Wings for mains. Everything was delicious. The mains are grilled on charcoal which adds a different dimension to the food. Highly recommended!

Damascus Legend has become our go to place when we have an appetite for some Arabic food. The owner and staff are very friendly and kind. Their rice is flavourful and well seasoned with herbs and spices. The kofta kebabs are some of the best we've ever had but for me their grilled meats and skewers (called shish on the menu) are the best I've had in Birmingham, always cooked perfectly, moist and packed with delicate flavours.We also get their house made hummus which is delicious. The food is priced slightly more than other Arab restaurants within the area but they deliver on quality. I highly recommend.

My camera does not do the food justice. I have been to this little gem a few times now and have never been disappointed. The food is so delicious, full of flavour and amazing spices. The meats, chicken and Sheesh kebabs are so juicy. I normally order the mix platter 2 (picture of the platter) which I think is enough for 3 people. Oh nearly forgot about the rice probably one of the best rice's I have ver had on a platter. Service is also on point. Definitely worth a visit and I guarantee this will become one of your regular places to eat out at.

A month ago, I bought a Lamb Shawarma 😋 I was truly impressed with the standard Damascus Legend Arabian Grill house maintains with the authenticity of the Arabian style they stay true to and the quality of the meat they sell. Today, I have returned for another Lamb Shawarma, as I cannot find this same standard anywhere in Birmingham City Center.

Brother Ahmed's food is amazing! His rice are not like any other I have eaten just like all the rest of the food he cooks and serves. We came here after reading about it in the media, we were not dissapointed! Everyone who likes rice and meat must come here. We wil be back.

We had the mix platter last night. The portion is sufficient for two. I feel its the best Syrian Lebanese food in the Midlands. The kebabs are succulent, not very spicy, just perfect. Mashallah may Allah preserve the food standards here and give them barakah
